Nanning, November 30 (Xinhua) — As of Saturday, a total of 5 million standard containers (TEU) of cargo had been transported along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, a key logistics route connecting western China with global markets, according to the Nanning branch of China Railways (CR).

CHONGQING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) — A freight train departed from southwest China's Chongqing for Hungary's capital, Budapest, on Sunday, marking the launch of a new fixed-schedule China-Europe service.

The train, loaded with car and motorcycle parts, electronics, and other consumer goods, is expected to arrive in Budapest, a major transportation hub serving Central and Eastern Europe, in 11 days. The train will cross the border at Alashankou in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and travel through Kazakhstan, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia before arriving in Hungary.

The new route represents Chongqing's second fixed-schedule freight rail link on the China-Europe international rail freight service, following the route linking the city with Duisburg, Germany.

BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) — China held its first national examination for civil service entry in 2026 on Sunday after raising the age limit from 35.

This year, more than 3.7 million people took the exam to obtain positions in the country's central government agencies and their branches. This means that, on average, approximately 98 applicants competed for each vacancy.

Astana, November 30 (Xinhua) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan protested the latest attack on Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) facilities in the Novorossiysk seaport. This was announced on Sunday by Foreign Ministry spokesman Aibek Smadiyarov.

Beijing, November 30 (Xinhua) — On November 24, the Arshan highway checkpoint, located in Khingan Province (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, north China) on the border between China and Mongolia, became operational year-round. Bishkek, November 30 (Xinhua) — Early elections to Kyrgyzstan's parliament (Zhogorku Kenesh) began on Sunday, with 90 seats to be elected.

As reported on Sunday by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan, a total of 2,492 polling stations have begun operating across the country, as well as 27 remote voting stations and 100 polling stations abroad.

460 candidates are participating in the early parliamentary elections. Thirty multi-member constituencies have been established for the parliamentary elections, with three deputies elected in each constituency using the majoritarian system. In each constituency, no more than two of the three seats may be held by members of the same gender. At least 30 parliamentary seats are held by members of the same gender.

The election process is being monitored by citizen and international observers. A total of 788 international observers from central electoral bodies, embassies of various countries, as well as international organizations and parliamentary associations, are registered.
