BEIJING, December 1 (Xinhua) — The SCO International Kunming Marathon 2025 (SCO Kunming Marathon 2025) took place on Sunday in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, southwest China. This year marked the 10th edition of the event.

Wenchang, Hainan Province, December 1 (Xinhua) — China launched a new satellite into space on Sunday from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in the southern Chinese island province of Hainan. This marks the 10th launch from the center this year, marking the first time the total number of launches from the site has reached double digits.

The Shijian-28 satellite was launched at 8:20 PM Beijing Time aboard a modified Long March-7 launch vehicle. The spacecraft successfully entered its designated orbit. This flight marked the 611th mission for the Long March series of launch vehicles.

JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) — South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Sunday that the country will continue to actively participate in the Group of 20 (G20) despite recent tensions with the United States, which will host the G20 meetings next year.
