JINAN, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) — With China's pet market size projected to grow to 1.15 trillion yuan (about 162.5 billion U.S. dollars) by 2028, pet products companies in east China's Shandong Province are poised to open a new chapter by seizing growth opportunities through comprehensive technological innovation.
From high-tech pet food to fashion accessories, local businesses in Shandong Province are using "supply and demand matching" and "pet-friendly" strategies to win the hearts and wallets of pet owners. Tai'an-based Taichong Pet Food Co., Ltd. has introduced a new line of steamed fresh pet food products with 98 percent nutrient retention, an example of how innovation can meet pet health-related demands and the needs of pet owners for scientifically-approachable pet nutrition.
“Our sales exceeded 100 tons within the first month after launching the new product line,” said Li Qing, the company’s executive director and general manager.
