The revised law, which was adopted at a session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), will take effect on March 1, 2026.

The revised law includes provisions to protect national sovereignty, security and development interests, while emphasizing that foreign trade should serve the country's economic and social development.

CHANGCHUN, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) — A wild Manchurian (Amur) tigress and her five cubs were captured on infrared camera footage at the Manchurian Tiger and Amur Leopard National Park in northeast China, marking the country's first documented sighting of five cubs in the wild.

According to park authorities, infrared cameras captured a family of tigers in November.

It was then that park ranger Du Jiaxing, who was on duty, received a real-time alert from the infrared camera's built-in monitoring system about the approaching tigers. Opening a special app on his phone, he saw a slender female with distinct stripes walk past the camera, accompanied by five feisty cubs.

The man immediately sent out warning information to nearby villages and reported the matter to the relevant authorities.

The same tigers were later captured by another infrared camera in a different area.

The tigress, identified in the monitoring database as GH005F, likely gave birth to the cubs in June, said park administrator Duan Zhaogan.

TAIYUAN, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) — Yuncheng People's Hospital in north China's Shanxi Province, renowned for its cerebral palsy treatment, has developed and implemented rehabilitation treatment plans for nearly 1,000 overseas children over the past 10 years.

The therapy's unique feature is the combination of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) methods, such as the use of TCM medications, acupuncture, and massage, with modern rehabilitation treatment, said Xue Zhensuo, a rehabilitation specialist at the hospital's pediatric rehabilitation department.

According to him, hospital-based treatment for cerebral palsy is characterized by a longer course of treatment, more frequent sessions, and lower costs. He noted that unique scalp acupuncture therapy also effectively alleviates patients' mental state and improves their sleep quality.

These specific treatment methods became famous abroad in 2011, when the parents of several Russian children with cerebral palsy spontaneously created a self-help group and invited Chinese rehabilitation specialists from this hospital to Samara, Ufa, and other cities to share treatment experiences.

In subsequent years, families of children with this diagnosis from other countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and others, having learned about the unique treatment methods of this hospital, turned to them for rehabilitation and treatment.

Currently, two-year-old Alisa from the Russian city of Chita is undergoing rehabilitation at this medical facility. Under the guidance of a speech therapist, Alisa can answer questions about numbers, indicating satisfactory intellectual development, although her motor skills remain relatively weak.

Alisa's rehabilitation therapist noted that after a period of treatment, Alisa's speech and cognitive abilities had improved significantly. She can now independently express pain and walk when held by a finger.

Since 2019, a boy named Yeraman from Atyrau, Kazakhstan, has been undergoing rehabilitation at the hospital.
