01.Oct.2025 Norilsk Nickel summed up the results of a decade of implementing social programs, awarding regional leaders and expressing gratitude to partners in the protected environment

The Zapovednoye Posledstvo Foundation participated in this very significant celebration. It was dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Norilsk Nickel's social capital development program, which, since 2025, will be called "People of the Territory" and combines two programs: "Kindness Factory" and "World of New Opportunities."

Why is this so important and significant for us?!

For 10 years, we have been an expert partner of the environmental volunteer marathon "Poneslos" and other events.

Things are made clear from a distance! We started counting the benefits volunteers have brought to the protected areas over this time, and we were simply amazed:

– built more than 10 km of nature trails, including crossings over the channels of the Torey Lakes and observation platforms of the Daursky Nature Reserve,

– developed and installed an interactive site called “Reindeer Trail” in the Lapland Nature Reserve,

– equipped rest areas on the “Deaf Dam” trail in the Lapland Nature Reserve and the route to Varlama Island in the Pasvik Nature Reserve,

– built in several stages the “Climatic Route in the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park”, where more than 1.5 million people pass through each year,

– created an educational lesson “7 Wonders of the Arctic,” which was attended by more than 6 thousand schoolchildren,

– developed a set of original games aimed at environmental education of children, youth and adults, which was rated by more than 10,000 players,

and much more!

And of course, we were thrilled to attend the immersive performance—the presentation of the new program and the celebration dedicated to the tenth anniversary. It was a joy to see those with whom we share our good deeds for the benefit of nature! And it was also a pleasure to receive an award for our collaboration.

We say "Thank you" to our partners, and to all the company's volunteers and friends. May you have many new victories, projects, and accomplishments ahead, benefiting yourselves and the environment!

Platform "Birobidzhan Without Format" shared inspiring news about a fascinating event held in the autumn forest of the Bastak Nature Reserve for schoolchildren studying at the school forestry department of the Leninskoye Secondary School. The event was held on a section of the "Uchebnaya" ecological trail, developed with the support of the "Vozrozhdenie Prirody" Charitable Foundation as part of the project "Preserving the Integrity of the Bastak Nature Reserve Ecosystem by Reducing Anthropogenic Load."

Autumn in the Bastak Nature Reserve is truly mesmerizing: golden treetops, a colorful carpet of leaves underfoot. It's the perfect place to explore nature and its riches. It was here that an educational meeting organized by the reserve's staff took place.

The practical lesson was timed to coincide with Forest Workers' Day and aimed to draw children's attention to environmental protection issues. Deputy Director for Research Ekaterina Sergeevna Lonkina introduced the children to the reserve's ecosystem, reminding them of the importance of forests and the need to care for them.

In addition to the theoretical part, the students gained unique field research experience. They learned to use specialized equipment: they measured tree trunk diameters, determined plant heights, and studied lighting and air quality in different areas of the reserve.

The lesson concluded with a captivating botany lesson: the children learned to identify tree species by fallen leaves while enjoying the beauty of autumn in the reserve.

Events like these help the younger generation understand the importance of natural resources and foster a responsible attitude toward nature. Thanks to the "Birobidzhan Without Format" platform for highlighting our foundation's important initiative!

Join our movement and help preserve nature with us!

Today is International Bison Day!

September 30, 2025

The European bison is Europe's last wild bull. In the winter of 2024-2025, we supported the bison of the Klyazminsko-Lukhsky Nature Reserve with hay and grain. This supplementary feeding helped them survive and raise 13 cubs. Now, these mighty giants need our help again. Faced with hunger, the bison may leave the reserve in search of food, risking danger. Supplementary feeding for the entire winter season will require 50.1 tons of hay and 14.7 tons of grain. This will amount to 927,600 rubles – this will ensure the survival and support the wild bull population. Even 500 or 1,000 rubles will help preserve the bison for future generations! You can help now by following this link.

#Honest Roading: Processing of household appliances

Every year, millions of old televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, and other household appliances end up in landfills, harming the environment. But these devices can be recycled!

Why is recycling household appliances important?

• Reduce waste: Old appliances contain recyclable materials such as metal, glass, plastic, as well as hazardous substances such as mercury and lead, which can contaminate soil and water.

• Resource conservation: Recycling allows useful components to be recovered from equipment for reuse in the production of new products, reducing the need for resource extraction.

• Environmental Protection: Properly disposed of equipment helps reduce air and water pollution that can be caused by improper disposal.

How does recycling of household appliances take place?

1. Collection and sorting: old equipment is collected at specialized collection points and sorted by material (metal, plastic, glass).

2. Dismantling and removal of hazardous substances: harmful substances are removed from devices (for example, mercury in old lamps and thermometers).

3. Recycling of materials: metal is melted and used to make new products, glass and plastic are recycled to create new goods.

Where to dispose of household appliances?

• Collection points: many cities have specialized collection points for old equipment.

• Shops and chains:

M.Video and Eldorado offer programs to recycle old household appliances when you buy a new one. You can often return appliances to the store when you buy a new model.

– RTS — as part of the “Hand in your old equipment and get a discount on new equipment” program, the chain of stores accepts old equipment for recycling.

– Lemana Pro – offers a service for recycling old household appliances when purchasing new ones.

– DNS accepts old equipment when purchasing new equipment, and also offers a discount system for returning old devices.

• Eco-projects: periodically, campaigns are held to collect old household appliances as part of environmental projects.

Interesting facts:

• Recycling 1 ton of old equipment can save up to 250 kg of metal and up to 120 kg of plastic.

• Every year, approximately 50 million tons of electronic waste are generated worldwide.

• In 2020, in Russia alone, about 20% of old equipment was recycled, the remaining devices ended up in landfills.

By recycling old household appliances, we conserve resources and protect the environment. Every appliance deserves a second life!

A tree of life was spotted in the Prisursky Nature Reserve.

The Russia 1 Chuvashia TV channel aired a stunning report about a unique discovery—a sort of open-air café!

Camera traps, acquired with support from the Revival of Nature Charitable Foundation and installed by P.V. Stenkin and V.V. Stenkin as part of Russia's National Projects, captured a remarkable scene: an old wild apple tree transformed into a tree of life.

The wild forest brings together forest dwellers, from large animals to the smallest rodents. There's something for every taste: a curious bear feasts on apples straight from the branches, badgers and mice nimbly carry apples into their burrows, hares and wild boars find food right at the roots, an owl rests serenely on a branch after a successful hunt, and a cunning fox patiently awaits small rodents, who can't resist the aroma of apples. Even the nimble marten doesn't hop from branch to branch hoping to disturb a bird's nest, but chooses an apple to suit its taste. What a bustle… and all around one tree. This kind of catering is a vivid reminder: everything in nature is interconnected, even an old apple tree with gnarled branches can feed both herbivores and predators.

This report once again reminds us how important nature is and how crucial even the most seemingly insignificant detail is in maintaining the world's balance. It's stories like these that inspire us to continue our work preserving unique places and restoring natural habitats.

Good news has come from the Orenburg region: two regional publications have shared articles about the "Life Scenario" project, launched by the CURAPROX brand in partnership with the "Revival of Nature" Charitable Foundation.

The Orenburg Media portal and the Orenburg Without Format resource published touching stories about the incredible fate of the Przewalski's horse, emphasizing the important mission of preserving endangered species.

These articles not only highlight the remarkable endurance and uniqueness of these noble creatures but also draw attention to the need for collaborative efforts to protect their wildlife. Emphasis is placed on the significant contributions of Orenburg nature reserve staff, who are actively involved in the Przewalski's horse reintroduction program.

The "Life Scenario" project began with the release of a limited-edition toothbrush set from CURAPROX. Each set benefits environmental conservation: 30 rubles go directly to the "Revival of Nature" Charitable Foundation for a project supporting the Przewalski's horse.

A total of five sets were released, each dedicated to a specific species:

Przewalski's Horse, European Bison, European Snow Leopard, Gray Whale, Polar Bear.

Thanks to the support of caring individuals, the project continues to gain popularity and draw attention to important environmental and sustainable development issues.

We are grateful to both publications for their interest and participation in disseminating such important information.

We invite you to support our common cause, because caring for nature begins with a small step taken by each of us.
