We continue to tell how the student teams of "Polytech" spend their work season. With the beginning of summer holidays, the guys went all over the country to change the environment, earn money and get useful skills for independent living. Today, together with the SSO "Flame" we will visit Surgut, at the construction of a road bridge across the Ob River.

The second Surgut bridge is being built to relieve the only existing crossing over the Ob River, opened in 2000. In general, the facility is a transport network, including a highway, three overpasses, four small bridges and several interchanges. It will connect several Russian regions, help develop the oil and gas industry and the Arctic. The construction of the second Surgut bridge has been declared an all-Russian student construction project. The work is gradually moving towards the end, and the builders expect that thanks to young and energetic assistants, they will complete the construction already in the fourth quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, the guys from "Plamen" are sandblasting the metal structures inside the bridge, carefully cleaning them from traces of corrosion. The girls are not far behind – they paint the bolted connections and welds so that they do not become covered in rust again.

"We went to Surgut for the first time, where we are working with the contractor VMP-Engineering. Despite the completely new conditions, the members of our unit are working on the construction site with great pleasure and helping to complete the facility by the scheduled deadlines," said SSO "Flame" fighter Dmitry Chernyshov.

Students gain valuable experience working with compressors, sandblasting equipment, improve their skills in electricity, mechanics and find new friends. For many, this becomes an important stage in professional development and personal growth. Well, in their free time, the guys explore the sights of Surgut and the local cuisine, walk in the parks, ride the rides, and in the evenings in the hostel the whole group watches films and holds commissar meetings.

During the construction of the ZIL station on the Troitskaya metro line, it was decided to increase the area of improvement of the adjacent territory. As a result, there will be more greenery here, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"The ZIL station of the Troitskaya metro line is being built in the very heart of the actively developing cluster of the capital on the site of a former industrial zone and is designed to significantly improve the transport accessibility of the area. For the convenience of passengers and local residents, during the construction process it was decided to expand the area of complex improvement by increasing the volume of landscaping – it will cover almost 40 thousand square meters. As part of the entire project, on an area of 60 thousand square meters, in addition to green spaces, lawns and flower beds, asphalt paving and granite paving will also be carried out, and small architectural forms will be installed," said Vladimir Efimov.

The area of flower beds has doubled compared to the original project. This is also due to the fact that the territory adjacent to the new station borders the Tyufeleva Roshcha Park and, according to the designers, will be maintained in its style.

According to the General Director of JSC Mosinzhproekt, Maxim Gaman, specialists will lay a lawn near the station, organize flower beds, plant several thousand bushes and trees, install benches and organize bicycle parking. A modern public transport waiting pavilion will also appear here and grounds for ground routes will be equipped. All this will create a full-fledged public area where city residents will be able to relax, use bicycles and have a rest.

In addition, new sections of roads for traffic and pedestrians will appear within the framework of the project. In particular, Lisitsky Street will be virtually reconstructed.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin told how the city cares about nature during the construction of the metro.

The Troitskaya metro line will run from the ZIL station of the Moscow Central Circle to the city of Troitsk and will become one of the longest radii of the Moscow metro and the largest outside the Moscow Ring Road.

Moscow Metro Tests Neurovoice in Audio Messages

Artificial intelligence is being gradually introduced into the capital's transport system. For example, since the beginning of the year, the neural network has been helping the chatbot Alexander answer passengers' questions. Now, as part of a pilot project, AI will help Moscow metro announcers in their work.

Moscow metro tests neurovoice in audio messages.

As Maxim Liksutov explained, audio information is one of the most important ways of communicating with passengers. Sometimes something changes in the metro: an escalator is closed for repairs or trains take a different route. An announcement must be promptly prepared for each situation. Neurovoice will help solve this problem in a matter of minutes.

The required audio file can be created remotely. Specialists only need to: 1) prepare the text; 2) upload it to the program; 3) adjust the voice – select the timbre, intonation and length of pauses. It is noteworthy that the AI was trained on real recordings of metro announcers.

The neurovoice testing will take place on the Sokolnicheskaya line, where there are many transfers to the Moscow Central Circle, Moscow Central Diameters, other metro lines, bus and railway stations. Komsomolskaya is also located here, the leading station in terms of the number of transport infrastructure facilities announced by the announcers.

Voices in neural processing allow creating prompt audio announcements in the uniform style of Moscow transport. After the pilot launch of the technology on the Sokolnicheskaya line, a decision will be made on its further use in the metro and beyond. In this case, the wishes of passengers will be taken into account. The Moscow metro continues to implement the most modern digital services, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, noted Maxim Liksutov.

70 percent of asphalt renewal work on the Third Transport Ring has been completed

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Specialists from the city services complex have completed 70 percent of the work to replace asphalt on the Third Transport Ring (TTK). This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

"Special attention is paid to maintaining the capital's roads in a standard condition. Every year, as part of preparation for the autumn-winter period, we carry out activities to renew the asphalt concrete pavement. This year, large-scale work is planned on the Third Transport Ring – the second longest key ring road, there we will repair 16 sections with a total area of about 700 thousand square meters," said Pyotr Biryukov.

Work has already been completed at nine sites, including the interchange with Ostapovsky Proezd, Avtozavodskaya Street within the Third Transport Ring, the section from Andreevsky Bridge to Komsomolsky Prospekt, as well as some places on the outer and inner rings from Volgogradsky Prospekt to Avtozavodskaya Street in both directions.

Currently, repairs are ongoing on the section from Komsomolsky Prospekt to Berezhkovsky Bridge and in the Gagarin Tunnel. More than 200 specialists and over 100 units of specialized equipment are involved in the work on the TTK.

One of the reasons for road repairs is rutting, which is caused by heavy traffic. It causes discomfort to drivers and can have a negative impact on safety. Therefore, the condition of the highway surface is regularly checked, the warranty period is monitored, and the asphalt is changed in a timely manner. Work is carried out mainly at night, when traffic is less intense.

The repairs are carried out in several stages. First, specialists mill the existing surface, then put the inspection wells and rain grates in order, after which they lay new asphalt. At the final stage, road markings are applied.

During repairs, modern technologies are used and asphalt concrete mixtures are used, which are produced by city-owned plants. During the season, these enterprises produce more than two million tons of mixture.
