On September 4, 2025, the State University of Management hosted a presentation of the acceleration program “Spectrum of Innovations”, conducted by the university as part of the federal project “Technologies”.

Vice-Rector Dmitry Bryukhanov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech:

"We have integrated the accelerator program into the students' project-based learning, which provides additional opportunities without increasing the academic workload. In addition, we plan to gradually develop the accelerator to the defense of projects within the framework of the Startup as a Diploma competition, the winner of which this year was our student with an innovative development. This once again shows that the university's infrastructure allows us to implement any plans, create prototypes and products, and find external investors. I urge you to make the most of these opportunities," the vice-rector concluded.

Yulia Vorokhob, an expert at the Open Innovations startup studio and senior tracker for the 2025 Spectrum of Innovations Acceleration Program, spoke in more detail about the accelerator’s operating principles and its benefits for students:

"The accelerator is aimed at helping you as managers feel and understand the importance of digitalization and a product approach in any area of activity. There are many cases where projects that started in student days have reached the global level and brought success to their creators. If 20 years ago, you had to look for funds and start in a garage, today you have a safe accelerator environment where you can use the university's resources, receive support and develop something new, relying on someone else's experience."

The organizers did not limit themselves to theory and invited Varvara Karamysheva, a graduate of the State University of Management, a multiple participant in accelerators and winner of various project competitions, to the meeting. The girl told how she created her projects, how the accelerator helped her and how to bring projects to physical implementation.

"You won't be able to bring a project to perfection the first time. You need experience, long-term work, analysis of mistakes and constant improvement of your product. This is exactly what an accelerator is for: it will help develop strengths, get an external assessment and get rid of fantasies. Today, we are negotiating with a large company about joint implementation of one startup and received a grant of 1 million rubles to implement another project. Looking back, I understand that it all started with the first call with our supervisor in the first year of the State University of Management and his words that we are starting to make startups."

At the end of the event, the director of the project office of the State University of Management Anastasia Lobacheva summed up the meeting and called on the students to use the opportunity provided by the university to prove themselves in the entrepreneurial sphere and get the most out of their studies.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On September 4, a presentation of the system for individualizing the educational trajectory for first-year students was held in the assembly hall of the State University of Management.

Thursday is a project-based learning day for students of all courses at the State University of Management, and in the first week after admission, the students were introduced to this educational technology.

The meeting was opened by Vice-Rector Dmitry Bryukhanov, who told those gathered about the university's achievements in project-based learning and the development of students' entrepreneurial skills, and encouraged the students not to be afraid to try their hand at different areas of activity and to maintain the high standard of the country's first management university:

"Today, a new format of implementation of the educational process begins for you, when each of you can choose an individual development trajectory within the framework of the chosen program. First of all, this is carried out through project-based learning, in which the State University of Management is a recognized leader in our country. It is on the basis of our university that the Interregional Educational and Methodological Center for Project-Based Learning operates, which accumulates new practices and technologies in this area."

Dmitry Bryukhanov also noted that GUU is actively involved in implementing the global task of developing the entrepreneurial community. The university has created the necessary infrastructure and there are many opportunities to improve students' entrepreneurial skills: a business incubator, acceleration programs, implementation of business projects, etc. The success of this approach is also evidenced by the fact that among thousands of participants from all over the country, it was a GUU student who took first place in the All-Russian competition of graduation theses in the format "Startup as a Diploma" in the past academic year.

Next, representatives from various fields spoke about innovations and opportunities for building an individual educational trajectory.

Thus, the employees of the State University of Management Vadim Chicherin, Nikolai Tormanov and Alexander Osinsky spoke about the individualization of the curriculum in the sports sphere, the new system of registration for 16 sections and 21 university teams, ways of obtaining the necessary points, and also reminded that all sports events can be found out on the social networks of the State University of Management Student Sports Club.

The main topic of the meeting was project-based learning at SUM, the structure and support ecosystem of which was introduced to the first-year students in more detail by the director of the SUM project office, Anastasia Lobacheva. The students learned that:

Our university is the first in the country where project-based learning is included in the curriculum and is mandatory for all courses; each department and educational program has responsible employees and consultants; projects can only be implemented in teams; project teams can be not only intra-group, but also inter-program; curators from among the SUM employees, mentors, experts and representatives of customers will help at all stages; Thursday is not a day off, but an opportunity to attend any project day events of your choice; the final qualifying work can be prepared in the form of a project and it is better to start preparing for it from the first year.

Ekaterina Illarionova, Director of the Center for Project Mentoring at the State University of Management, spoke about how a mentor is selected, what should be taken into account when choosing a project, and other important nuances of project-based learning.

Director of the Business Incubator of the State University of Management Dmitry Rogov presented the possibilities for developing entrepreneurial projects and measures to support startups, and also noted the importance of bringing projects to the external environment

Danila Yakovlev, winner of the All-Russian competition of final qualification works in the format "Startup as a Diploma" 2025, shared his experience of successfully implementing the project.

Veronika Balandina, head of the federal program "Service Learning" at the State University of Management, spoke about our university's victory in the All-Russian competition of best practices in implementing the "Service Learning" program and how to join the project.

Vladimir Semov, an activist of the Garnet case club, introduced the possibilities of the GUU case school.

During the meeting, first-year students were able to ask questions to the speakers, learned who to contact in the future, and in the near future will form project teams and choose their individual educational trajectories.

Sergei Sobyanin announced the completion of the reconstruction of the Metallurg stadium

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The comprehensive reconstruction of the historic Metallurg stadium on Semenovskaya Embankment in the Basmanny District has been completed.

"By order of the President and with the active support of the Prime Minister, the essentially abandoned territory of the old stadium was transferred to Baumanka. And the city decided to make a gift: on the site of this already depressed territory, a modern sports core was created, including a football field, administrative and household, sports complexes, a sports and fitness center, children's, sports grounds. So by the beginning of the school year, this is a good gift to Baumanka," he said.

Sergei Sobyanin during an inspection of the renovated stadium.

Rector of the Moscow State Technical University (MSTU) named after N.E. Bauman Mikhail Gordin noted that the entire facility has already been put into operation, which both students and teachers are happy about. The stadium will allow them to play sports and develop the qualities necessary for engineers.

"And we must not forget about the large number of residents around, for whom this is a home stadium. Please make sure that they also use all of this," Sergei Sobyanin emphasized.

The Metallurg stadium on the Yauza embankment was built in the early 1920s for workers at the Hammer and Sickle plant. Legends of Soviet sports trained here: track and field athletes Georgy and Serafim Znamensky, hockey players Alexander Yakushev and Gennady Krylov, as well as outstanding football players and coaches Grigory Fedotov, Konstantin Beskov, Valentin Granatkin, Boris Arkadyev and Sergei Kapelkin.

In the 1990s, the stadium hosted home matches for the women's football team "Hammer and Sickle", which took second place in the first ever USSR championship in 1990.

By decision of the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, the sports facility was transferred to Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 2022. The stadium reconstruction, which took place in 2024–2025, became part of a large-scale project for the comprehensive development of the university’s territory.

"We have created a modern sports cluster in this place – a football field, a sports and fitness center, children's and sports grounds, made walking routes and comfortable landscaping. It turned out to be a good gift to Baumanka for the beginning of the school year. The students already have a new wonderful educational center, a dormitory, and now there will be a modern sports stadium," Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his account in

Where the old football pitch was, a multi-purpose arena with artificial grass and heating appeared. It is suitable not only for football, but also for rugby.

A modern administrative and amenity complex with a grandstand was built on the stadium grounds — in place of the old one. Several halls were equipped in it — several multi-purpose halls, for wrestling and gymnastics, for yoga and a gym. The building also has coaching rooms, locker rooms, a first aid station and offices for employees. A barrier-free environment was created for people with limited mobility.

For the first time, a central square was arranged on the stadium grounds — a place for walks, meetings and holding mass events (celebrations, awards and concerts). The tiles on it are laid out in an unusual layout and look like floating ice floes. Thus, the stadium is stylistically connected with the university campus, one of the new buildings of which resembles an icebreaker.

A stage can be installed under a special stadium tent; a pavilion-cafe with a summer terrace has been built nearby.

Sports grounds with shelters have been set up near the central square, where you can conduct individual and group activities. For example, you can lay out a mat and do yoga or other types of sports and fitness training.

There is also an area with outdoor exercise equipment, including workout equipment, including a complex in the style of “Russian ninja”.

There are several sports grounds equipped – for playing tennis and beach volleyball, as well as a multi-purpose sports ground for basketball and volleyball.

An indoor two-story sports and fitness complex was built on the site of the outdated riding halls. The building is equipped with a hall for the volleyball super league with the possibility of transformation for other sports (table tennis, basketball, mini-football). The complex also has a training hall and a gym, comfortable locker rooms, coaches' rooms, a first-aid post and a massage room, a number of rooms, for example for storing equipment.

A sports and fitness complex with volleyball courts will appear at the Metallurg stadium

An old abandoned hockey rink has been transformed into a science playground for children, with rest areas for parents.

At the entrance to the territory on the eastern side, a recreational area has been set up: park swings and benches have been placed under the trees and awnings.

The view of the Yauza embankment opened up after the bypass that blocked the view was removed underground. This is how a circular walking health route appeared.

The stadium territory has been landscaped. Over 36.7 thousand square meters of lawns have been laid out, over 130 lanterns and about 140 small architectural forms have been installed. A parking lot for 72 cars has also been organized. Several hundred trees will be planted in winter and spring.

“The renovated Metallurg stadium will once again become an important point of attraction for Baumanka students, residents of the Basmanny District and all sports fans,” Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his account in

Financial news: Bank of Russia maintains banking sector profit forecast based on first half results

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Central Bank of Russia –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Banks' claims on companies increased by 2.4% in the second quarter after decreasing by 0.2% in the previous quarter. It is expected that as monetary conditions ease, demand for loans will gradually increase and by the end of 2025, claims on companies will increase by 9-12% (8-13% in the previous forecast).

The population's mortgage debt also grew faster than in the first quarter (1.4 and 0.01%, respectively). However, this is slightly less than the regulator's expectations, so the upper limit of the forecast range for 2025 has been revised and reduced to 6 from 8%.

The consumer loan portfolio in the second quarter continued to shrink (-1.6%) in the context of tight monetary and macroprudential policies. The upper limit of the forecast range for the year was adjusted to 2% from 4%.

The net interest margin forecast has been maintained in the range of 4.0–4.4% by the end of 2025, while it is expected to be closer to its upper limit. High interest income compensates for the increase in the cost of risk, so the net profit forecast for 2025 has been maintained at the level of 3.0–3.5 trillion rubles.

More detailed information is provided in the quarterly review "Banking sector".
