The city has granted land lease benefits to four pharmaceutical companies with industrial complex status. The sites are located in the Southern, South-Eastern, Northern and Zelenograd administrative districts. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"The city provides comprehensive, including property, support to the capital's enterprises. For companies with the status of an industrial complex, special conditions apply to land lease for the operation of buildings – the rate is 0.3 percent of the cadastral value of the site. This benefit is provided to four manufacturers of pharmaceuticals. This year alone, thanks to city support, they will be able to save 7.1 million rubles," said Vladimir Efimov.

Property support for enterprises for the city is a long-term investment in the development of industry and science, as well as an opportunity to strengthen its economic stability. In addition, such assistance allows capital companies to create additional jobs and contributes to an increase in tax revenues.

"On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, the city supports the development of the pharmaceutical industry, creates comfortable conditions for work and growth for enterprises. The status of an industrial complex is assigned for 10 years and allows businesses to use a special tax regime: the real estate tax will be 50 percent of the calculated amount, the land tax – 20 percent of the calculated amount, and the land lease rate – 0.3 percent of the cadastral value of the site. Such measures allow companies to direct the released funds to modernizing equipment, building new sites and expanding production," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry

Pharmaceutical companies lease land from the city to operate industrial complexes in four districts: Nizhegorodsky, Koptevo, Biryulyovo Vostochny and Matushkino.

According to Ekaterina Solovieva, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital's Department of City Property, a land lease benefit for the operation of facilities producing pharmaceuticals has been granted to pharmaceutical companies for plots with a total area of 6.7 hectares. The companies will be able to use the saved funds for their own development, for example, investing in the purchase of equipment, modernization of production facilities or repair of buildings. Thus, the city helps entrepreneurs to implement advanced technologies, increase their competitiveness and create important products.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin reported that the city is operating more than 300 enterprises, producing medicines and medical products.
