In medical colleges No. 6 and 7, the holiday was combined with Knowledge Day. First-year students were presented with student cards and the main symbol of the profession — a white coat. In the St. Demetrius School of Sisters of Mercy, in addition to teachers, church representatives congratulated the children. On September 20 and 21, Moscow will host one of the largest races in Russia, the Moscow Marathon. It will be held for the 12th time. Over the course of three days, from September 18 to 20, there will be a sports exhibition, and two days of competitions: 10- and 42.2-kilometer races, corporate and student relay races, and a children's race. Immersion in work from day one and meetings without ties

Gleb Semiletov got an internship when he was a fourth-year student at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in the field of State and Municipal Administration. Thanks to it, he was able to begin immersing himself in the profession while writing his diploma. The young analyst joined the information technology department Committee for State Construction Supervision of the City of Moscow.

"The internship started right away, without any warm-up. I didn't wash the floors, didn't reshuffle papers, but from the first day I was engaged in serious tasks. I participated in a new project to equip city construction sites with recording devices: cameras, noise and dust sensors. They allow our inspectors to remotely monitor safety at the sites. Thanks to the cameras, for example, you can see at any time whether all the workers are wearing helmets. I helped tell developers why recording devices are important and what requirements they must meet, kept a register of already equipped sites, checked whether the devices were located in the right place, whether they were in good working order. I also joined the development of a video analytics system based on artificial intelligence. Computer vision in cameras independently identifies violations. It will not replace inspectors, but it will help in decision-making and speed up the elimination of problems. I liked that the organization is modern, technological. Now I work in the management as a chief specialist," shared Gleb Semiletov.

At one of the career forums, the bright pavilion of the Moscow Government also attracted Gleb Gantov, a final-year student at the Russian University of Transport, studying in the field of "Transport Business and Logistics, Operation of Railways." At the forum, he learned about the internship program. The young man has been interested in rail transport since childhood, so he chose the service of Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) of the capital's metro.

"My responsibilities included analyzing and distributing passenger flows on the Moscow Central Diameters, analyzing compensation routes during platform repairs. Often, it was necessary to go out into the field. The systems automatically record the number of people at the station, but for a certain period, for example, for an hour. However, even within an hour, the flows jump: at 18:15, a loaded train usually leaves Moscow-City, and at 18:59, a free one. I tested the trains during rush hour and compared the results with the system data. In general, this is the rule of our service: employees use city transport and, if they find a problem, they immediately look for a solution," the program participant emphasized.

The interns also attended excursions to the bus depot, the motorcar depot and the unified dispatch center. They went to the Moscow metro at night to learn how the infrastructure is updated during station closures. They also had informal meetings: specialists gave recommendations on how to realize themselves in the Moscow transport complex.

"The reality exceeded my expectations from the internship. I was very happy when I was offered a job as a chief specialist of the department of analysis and development of processes in the MCD service. In my opinion, an employee of our complex should have his own position, but study the world experience in detail, because the metropolis will pay dearly for his mistakes. And it is also important to constantly improve yourself, because the city is rapidly moving forward. Now I have entered graduate school, I will write a candidate's dissertation on the development of urban rail transport," shared Gleb Gantov.

A love of travel and Moscow inspired marketer Maria Antipova to develop the capital's tourism. She graduated from the Russian International Academy of Tourism. The organization "Golden Hands of an Angel" transferred another batch of humanitarian aid to the special operation zone – the first 10 anti-thermal imaging blankets, sewn using a new unique technology. Multilayer anti-thermal imaging blankets were developed by the volunteers themselves. They improved the design of conventional similar products to increase the effectiveness of protection against drones and enemy thermal imagers.

"Similar factory-made products are strictly rectangular in shape. We sew frills around the perimeter of the blanket so that it practically blends into the terrain and is indistinguishable to a drone. It becomes invisible to a thermal imager thanks to another know-how – the use of several types of special fabrics with protective properties," says Amira Magomedova, head of the "Molodogvardeets" branch of the volunteer organization "Golden Hands of an Angel" in Kuntsevo.

The exact fabrics that produce this effect are kept secret. Before mass production of the improved blankets began, they were tested in real combat conditions. The fighters who maintain constant contact with the volunteers highly appreciated the new product.

"During the blanket testing, we had, you could say, a miraculous rescue story. I needed to evacuate a wounded comrade. An enemy drone spotted us. I covered myself and my comrade with blankets, and the drone flew past without noticing us. Two lives were saved," said one of the soldiers.

Volunteers have already received 150 applications for such products from military units. The next batch will be sent to the front line on October 7.

Where it all began

The organization "Golden Hands of an Angel" was created in March 2022. Its leader, Muscovite Lyudmila Sushetskaya, responded to the call of one of the founders of the national school of tactical medicine, a participant in the military operations in Donbass, surgeon Yuri Yevich. He asked volunteers to join in sewing soft stretchers for the rapid evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield. Lyudmila purchased the first batch of slings and threads with her own money. She very quickly found like-minded seamstresses and received support from benefactors. Today, "Golden Hands of an Angel" has 16 branches in Moscow and the Moscow region, one of the first opened in the Kuntsevo district.

What do they sew and knit?

The Molodogvardeets workshop, located in Kuntsevo, began operating in May 2023. During this time, volunteers have manufactured and sent to the SVO zone more than two thousand evacuation stretchers, a thousand evacuation slings, 500 field stools (seats), more than 150 Chimera and Kikimora camouflage suits, and 50 protective boxes for drones.

In addition, volunteers sew fleece hats and sweaters at home. For hospitals, they make boots for the Ilizarov apparatus, as well as special pillows for the wounded, whose arm or leg is in traction during treatment.
