On December 9, the multifunctional cultural and leisure center on Grina Street (a branch of the State Budgetary Institution "My Leisure Center "Atlant") in Severnoye Butovo celebrated Heroes of the Fatherland Day. The program began outside with performances by creative groups and a field kitchen. Guests warmed up with hot tea and sampled authentic soldier's porridge.

Exhibition and master classes

A charity fair was held in the foyer. Items created by the center's artisans and students were on sale: paintings, souvenirs made of fabric and salt dough, Christmas tree decorations, home decor, and knitted items.

Cinema, concert and meeting with the heroes

The center's auditorium hosted the premiere of a documentary about participants in the special military operation (SMO), "Heroes of the Southwest," produced by the district prefecture's press service. Viewers were treated to stories of residents whose lives were changed by their service in the special operation zone. A common theme throughout the film was the district's volunteers' work collecting and delivering humanitarian aid as an integral part of their overall support for the front.

Vasily Chekalin, Alexey Pososhkov, and Alexander Shelkovoy were the event's honorary guests and featured in the film. After the screening, audience members interacted with them, expressing their gratitude and support.

The highlight of the celebration was a grand gala concert, "Through Time and Fates," featuring the best performing groups from the Southwestern Administrative District, Mosconcert artists, and students from the Atlant group. The audience also enjoyed performances by "The Voice" finalist Anastasia Spiridonova, the male vocal group Tenori, the guslar ensemble "Kupina," and singer Dzhulinn. The audience warmly welcomed special guests, the band "Nashi," led by retired special forces lieutenant colonel Alexander Vanyushkin.

The evening demonstrated the importance of intergenerational unity and respect for the heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland. All proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales at the charity fair will go to support the participants of the SVO.

The Moscow Laser Technology Center has begun mass production of innovative 3D printers. These printers enable the creation of complex geometrically shaped metal parts. Financial news: The Bank of Russia simplifies the accounting of isolated securities.

Depositories until December 18, 2025 inclusive must transfer segregated securities to non-trading accounts: Russian shares, if they or depositary receipts for them were acquired after March 1, 2022, as well as Eurobonds and replacement bonds that were acquired after March 3, 2023.

The requirement for separate accounting of such securities was established by Decree No. 138 of the President of the Russian Federation dated March 3, 2023. This requirement can only be lifted after verification of documents and information confirming that there were no hostile investors in the ownership chain.

Now, only clean securities can be held in trading depository accounts and freely traded on the exchange, including through negotiated transactions. The Bank of Russia's decision also specifies the minimum set of documents that a depository (registrar) must receive from a client to discontinue separate accounting. When transferring securities to another depository (registrar), it is obligated to share all available information upon request. Now, each participant in the accounting infrastructure no longer needs to compile the entire set of documents on a security's ownership history—one participant only needs to do this once and then pass on the received information up the chain. This will reduce the burden on market participants and simplify the client experience.

A cooling-off period is also being introduced: it will be possible to terminate the separate accounting of securities or execute an order to transfer them to another depository (registrar) 6 business days after sending a notice to the Bank of Russia.

RUDN University and Rosatom held a Summer School on Additive Technologies in the Nuclear Industry

The RUDN University Institute of Innovative Engineering Technologies held a partnership program for continuing professional education, the Summer School, entitled "Additive Technologies in the Nuclear Industry," in collaboration with the Rosatom State Corporation. Students were introduced to various additive manufacturing technologies, including fused deposition modeling (FDM), stereolithography (SLA/DLP), selective laser melting (SLM), direct energy and material deposition (DED/DMD), and selective laser sintering (SLS). They also learned about the operating principles of laser systems, approaches to developing laser printing technologies for parts with specified properties, methods for working with control programs, and studied the properties and characteristics of metallic materials for printing.

Excursions and master classes

Participants were particularly interested in the master classes and workshops on printing and incoming inspection of 3D printing materials, as well as a visit to Rosatom's Additive Technologies Center and the state corporation's Fuel Company Museum. Upon completion of the course, all participants completed a final assessment and received certificates of advanced training and certification.
