Maslenitsa the Entertainer. Celebrating at the Russian Song Theatre with Mosbilet

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Every year on the small stage of the Moscow State Academic Theatre Russian Song The boisterous Maslenitsa festival is underway. It's celebrated with authentic songs, folk games, and stories about the omens, customs, and traditions of various regions of Russia. About the program "Oh, Maslenitsa the Entertainer!" People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina, the theater's founder, artistic director, and director, as well as choirmaster of the Rossiyane ensemble, Yana Samoilova, and the theater's chief director, Maxim Lakhno, spoke about the event.

The world of folk festivities

How did our ancestors celebrate Maslenitsa? They slewed, built snow forts, told fortunes, danced, sang—they did it all together, noisily, brightly, and joyfully, ignoring the hard work, sorrows, and grief of the past year. They bid farewell to the past and looked forward with hope to the new—long days, a warm spring, and a fruitful summer. This spirit and this charge of folk energy are captured by the performers of the "Rossiyane" folk ensemble, which is part of the theater's larger ensemble.

"At the Russkaya Pesnya Theatre, we've strived to recreate this wonderful world of folk festivities. On the small stage, we present the program "Oh, Maslenitsa-Zateinitsa!" It brings together folk traditions from all over Russia: games, dances, spiritual poems, ritual and lyrical songs—everything that brought life to the village on the eve of Lent," shares People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina, artistic director, director, and founder of the Russkaya Pesnya Theatre.

The program, which will take place on February 21st and 22nd, is family-friendly: viewers will be able to enjoy the sounds of folk songs and become full participants in the action. Both adults and children are involved in active games and competitions—just like at a true folk festival, where no one is left out of the boisterous festivities.

Collection of materials: from scientific literature to expeditions

"At Maslenitsa, we had fun with the whole village, from the youngest to the oldest. We used to say, 'Even if you have to pawn yourself, you'll still see Maslenitsa off.' We had a blast: singing, dancing, and dancing in circles. Incidentally, the circle dance, like the pancake, is a symbol of the sun and an essential part of these days. There are special Maslenitsa songs, ditties, and jokes. These songs often included obscene language—which was allowed on Maslenitsa. Our repertoire also includes Maslenitsa songs, but without the obscene language, of course," continues Nadezhda Babkina.

The selection of materials for the program, as with the theater's other folklore performances, is a creative laboratory and a research endeavor. Yana Samoylova, choirmaster of the "Rossiyane" ensemble, admits that the work never stops—the performers constantly deepen their knowledge to surprise even those who have been attending for years: "As a result, our folklore performance for Maslenitsa is new every year. We update the material, drawing from scientific literature (research by scientists and ethnographers), and select from the wealth of knowledge gained from expeditions to villages. We adapt folk games, and sometimes create our own in a similar style and mood. We strive to ensure that the audience is engaged and learns something new every year."

Geography of folk art: south, central Russia, Siberia

The Rossiyany's repertoire encompasses the traditions of many regions—from southern and central Russia to Siberia. "Songs from various regions of Russia are featured not only in the Maslenitsa program but also in our other folklore performances. This includes southern Russian traditions, from cities like Kursk and Belgorod. It also includes the Urals, Siberia, and the Volga region," explains the choirmaster. However, the troupe also has its own special affinity—villages—to which the artists have a particularly reverent relationship.

"I'd like to highlight the Penza region—we really love this sound tradition, this dialect. The villages of Kanayevka and Demkino. In our Maslenitsa program, we feature a Penza region dance, specifically from Demkino, called 'Let's Drink,'" shares Yana Samoylova.

The ensemble's particular pride lies in its arrangements of folk works by Vladimir Tsaregorodtsev (1955–2020), a prominent figure in Russian folk choral culture and professor at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, and Viktor Bakke (1947–2024), Doctor of Art History, Professor of Folk Singing, and Honored Cultural Worker of Russia. According to Yana Samoylova, the ensemble is grateful to include these works in its repertoire for their beauty and uniqueness.

Games, rituals and Maslenitsa-crooked neck

The interactive portion of the performance is not only entertaining for young audiences but also an educational experience. "From the very beginning, the program was designed as an educational one: through games, songs, and interactive activities, we introduce children to the folk customs and rituals of Maslenitsa. It draws on the living folk traditions of various regions of Russia, their unique characteristics and differences, which combine to create a unified image of folk culture and allow them to experience the atmosphere of authentic Russian street festivities," adds Maxim Lakhno, chief director of the Russkaya Pesnya Theatre and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Many of the games and competitions that the performers organize for audiences today were once learned from their grandparents in the villages. For example, games that involve mimicking movements from the Lipetsk and Tula regions. "You go to visit your grandmother in a remote village, and she tells you how they played, danced, and had fun in the streets as children," Yana Samoylova recalls of the student expeditions that were an integral part of the future choirmaster's training. Not only she but also other cast members benefit from this experience. Some continue to go on expeditions and bring back newly discovered games, songs, and amusements.

This year, viewers will be introduced to many curious details of Maslenitsa ritual culture—for example, why Maslenitsa was sometimes called Dunya. This name comes from the folk calendar: the day of Saint Evdokia (Avdotya Vesnovka) was considered the beginning of spring, and some of its rituals evolved into Maslenitsa traditions. In songs, Maslenitsa could be called Evdokia the Whistler or simply Dunya. She was also driven away with chants of "Maslenitsa-crooked-neck, go away!"

Maslenitsa's nickname "crooked neck" wasn't earned for nothing, explains Yana Samoylova: "We're saying goodbye to something old and unnecessary. Maslenitsa has always absorbed all negativity—sorrows and sorrows. When it was burned on Forgiveness Sunday, people truly believed that this badness was being driven away."

Guests will also learn that not all Russians burned the effigy—in some regions it was drowned or thrown onto the roof.

"I recently read in a source that in the Kostroma region, for example, they didn't burn the Maslenitsa effigy—there really wasn't such a thing. They took all the old, unwanted things: household items, utensils, clothes, dishes, piled them up, and burned them. In essence, it's the same as burning Maslenitsa," the choirmaster continues.

Among the interesting details of the holiday is a story about the tradition of sliding down icy slopes on basins and spinning wheel bottoms: it was believed that whoever's basin rolled the farthest would have a good harvest.

The play also explores the theme of fistfights in "Wide Thursday." While there won't be any actual fistfights, men's prowess will find expression in fun competitions, such as "Knock Off the Hat" or a finger fight.

The small stage format allows the performers to interact with the audience. The theater emphasizes that this isn't a concert where some sing and others listen, but a shared celebration. "The small stage is an intimate space, and here we interact a lot. Our director has structured the repertoire so that children and adults alike get up from their seats, and we begin to interact with them, synergize, and unite in a shared celebration," says Yana Samoylova, describing the atmosphere.

"What's the result? A vibrant, genuine celebration. Come and see for yourself and relax your soul," concludes Nadezhda Babkina.

Not Just Maslenitsa: "All Year Round" and "Grandma's Tales"

"Oh, Maslenitsa-Zateinitsa!" is just part of the extensive and varied repertoire of the Russian Song Theatre. The theatre also features a whole series of folklore programs, "All Year Round," which introduces audiences to the traditions and holidays of each season. These include "Autumn, Autumn, We Invite You," "Winter-Winter," "Oh, spring is beautiful" and, of course, "Oh, Maslenitsa the Entertainer!"

For younger audiences, the small stage features a separate series called "Grandmother's Tales." These are performances based on Russian folk tales, such as "The Teremok," The Cat and the Fox, Hare's Hut, Kolobok, The Three Bears and others. "The selection of material is completely different. It's also folkloric, but a little simpler. It includes well-known works that everyone has heard: 'Kalinka-Malinka,' 'In the Forge,' 'The Moon Shines,' and the like," explains Yana Samoylova.

The theatre's main stage features more serious productions aimed at adults and older children, but there's also a place for fairy tales: "Goldfish" according to Alexander Pushkin, Kashtanka based on Anton Chekhov and a play beloved by many At the Pike's CommandYou can view the schedule and buy tickets to the Russian Song Theatre on the service Mosbilet.

Caring warms: How to help homeless animals in the cold with city projects

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The winter cold is still lingering, and during this time, homeless cats and dogs need special support. Although animal shelter residents are always well-cared for, winter increases their need for warmth, high-quality hot food, and medical care. We're exploring projects in the capital that support shelters for homeless cats during the winter.

Take a walk, play, and help with feeding

Shelters always welcome any help from volunteers—during peak periods, staff members often have the energy and time to address even the most pressing issues. They provide feeding, cleaning, and short walks. Volunteers can also provide extra attention, ear scratches, and long walks with playtime. Volunteers also help clear snow from paths and deliver food or medications. These are important tasks that require the participation of caring individuals who truly love and empathize with animals.

Volunteering comes in many forms—everyone can find something that suits their abilities and passion. Learn more about what's needed right now, join animal shelter trips, and participate in fundraising and nonprofit events as a volunteer with Mosvolonter resource centerIf you have no experience volunteering, the resource center's mentors and team will teach you everything and help you get started. Detailed information about animal volunteering is available in the topic section. online course.

In addition, workshops on building insulated dog houses for private shelters and foundations will be organized for all Moscow residents. Pet supplies can also be donated to special boxes at volunteer centers. Good Place, located throughout the city.

Give a home and care

You can look at your future four-legged friends and find the one with the help of this service Mospitometz on the mos.ru portal, developed last year in collaboration with Moscow's urban infrastructure complex.

When choosing a future pet, you can consider many different criteria: age, size, breed, color, personality, and other factors. And love, devotion, and cozy snoring are automatically included with every cat or dog.

The service features animals from 13 city shelters. It allows you to review animal profiles, choose a four-legged friend, and schedule a visit to the shelter for an in-person meeting. A short quiz on the service's page helps you narrow down suitable profiles based on key criteria, such as coat length, color, or size.

Each animal's profile provides detailed information about its age, size, personality, and habits, as well as photos. All applicants are vaccinated, socialized, and awaiting a loving home. Mospitometz also offers more information about helping shelter animals, including recommendations for adopting these little creatures, feeding them, and caring for them.

Send your donation to trusted organizations

Not everyone can take a pet home or visit a shelter in person. There are other ways to help homeless cats and dogs from Moscow's private shelters. For over five years, Moscow residents have been quickly, easily, and safely fostering these little animals with charitable serviceon the mos.ru portal.

In the category of assistance programs "Animals"Thirteen verified non-profit organizations are represented. Donations from city residents are used to purchase food, vaccines, and essential medications, pay for consultations with specialists and surgeries at veterinary clinics, help with the adoption and rehoming of homeless animals, pay water and electricity bills, build and insulate dog kennels and cat boxes, and much more.

For example, with the help of the service, you can support Uma, the creamy beauty, as well as other wards of the foundation RusDogAn organization employee found her on the side of the road and took her to the RusDog Center, where she underwent examination and necessary treatment. The emaciated Uma was found to have dangerous parasites. Thanks to the support and donations of caring people, Uma received emergency treatment and quickly recovered. Now completely healthy, she welcomes any human attention and is looking for a home.

At the RusDog Center, the animals in its care receive treatment, vaccinations, sterilization, and socialization. The organization brings together caring people to help homeless animals.

The service also allows you to make a donation to the foundation's wards. NikaThe organization's "Wet Nose" Rescue Center is becoming a temporary shelter for hundreds of cats and dogs. Staying there helps prepare the animals for home life and teach them to trust people. A modest donation will help provide care, guidance, and a home for many animals, including Charlie, an 11-month-old girl who has yet to find her perfect human. Charlie and her brother, Chaplin, arrived at the shelter as puppies. They were fortunate to find kind people who helped them in their time of need. Today, Chaplin is happily living with a loving family, but Charlie, unfortunately, never had the chance to experience the love and care of a loved one. This cheerful girl loves walks, games, and socializing. She is drawn to people, gets along with children, and always tries to be close to them. Charlie is well-behaved, trained to walk on a leash and harness, knows basic commands, and will be a reliable companion for any adventure or play.

Foundation program Dogs Who Love The organization aims to provide qualified veterinary care to homeless animals, foster and support cats and dogs in shelters, find homes, and care for them until they meet their new owners. Donations from local residents help bring hope to hundreds of animals, including the handsome Zeus. Beneath the grace and stature of a formidable giant lies a kind heart and gentle nature. Zeus looks into the eyes with trust and warmth, waiting for his human. The dog arrived at the shelter in 2023: when the volunteers' car stopped, he practically jumped in, trusting the strangers. He likely had a domestic life before: he's familiar with riding in the passenger seat, is people-oriented, and is eager to find a true home.

These and other non-profit organizations' beneficiaries can be helped with just a few clicks using the mos.ru service. Caring residents can support animals through the project page, pay regular bills in the "My Payments" service and the "My Moscow" city app, sign up for regular donations, and start charitable collections for the beneficiaries of these organizations. Learn more about how and whom you can help through the mos.ru charity service, and explore the organizations' programs and reports at special pagemos.ru portal.

The work and functional development of the charitable service on the mos.ru portal is supervised by the capital Department of Information Technology And Committee on Public Relations and Youth Policywith the support of the Public Chamber of Moscow.

The creation and operation of digital platforms for providing residents with public services in various sectors of the social sphere are in line with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State"More information about national projects and the capital's contribution can be found at special page.

Quick Document Review and Neurosearch: What Tools Are Available on the Supplier Portal?

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

In 2025, in the capital supplier portal New useful features have been added. Digital solutions make it easier for entrepreneurs to participate in public procurement, and they allow state and municipal institutions to purchase products at more competitive prices.

For example, a machine-based documentation analysis service has been created for users, the process of creating and managing product cards in the product catalog has been streamlined, and the portal's knowledge base search has been modernized. Furthermore, a new correspondence window has been added between customers and suppliers, allowing them to discuss important issues related to the conclusion and execution of contracts. Another new feature involves the platform's integration with the Gosklyuch mobile app, allowing users to sign offers for the supply of goods, performance of work, and provision of services electronically.

"In 2025, new services were launched on the supplier portal, including those using artificial intelligence. Some stages of contract conclusion were simplified, and a number of processes for creating and updating product cards in the product catalog were improved. In our work on the portal's functionality, we strive to improve user interaction with the resource and increase the transparency of procedures. The new options on the portal were introduced, in part, due to feedback from customers and entrepreneurs," said the deputy head of the Moscow City Council.

Department of Information Technology Roman Urnyshev.

The supplier portal was created in 2013 to automate small-volume procurement. Here, entrepreneurs from across the country can directly sell their products to state and municipal institutions in 44 regions, such as schools, clinics, kindergartens, and local governments. Public sector organizations purchase in-demand everyday goods through the portal, including stationery, office paper, water, construction, household, and medical supplies, electronics and office equipment, communications equipment, software, and more. The catalog currently contains over three million unique items.

The entire procurement process on the supplier portal is conducted digitally: contracts are concluded and executed remotely, without paper documents, and electronic signatures are used to authenticate transactions. More than 1,500 contracts are concluded on the platform daily.

"The Moscow Supplier Portal is accessible to entrepreneurs across Russia. This resource is attractive to businesses due to its ability to participate in interregional procurement, as well as the speed and transparency of its procedures and the high level of digitalization of its processes. The platform is constantly evolving, and more and more users are joining it. Currently, more than 395,000 entrepreneurs work on it, and over 90 percent of them are small and medium-sized businesses. The portal's popularity among the business community ensures a high level of competition, allowing customers to meet their needs for goods, services, and work at optimal prices. Today, more than 60,000 state and municipal customers from 44 regions of Russia purchase products on the portal," noted the head of the Moscow Department for Competition Policy.

Kirill Purtov.

Artificial intelligence assistance

One of the important innovations on the supplier portal was the emergence of a new machine analysis service that provides users with summary of documentsThe tool is powered by generative artificial intelligence trained on a large language model of standard contract data. It automatically processes uploaded contracts and generates a concise summary of key parameters: contract subject matter, cost, supplier requirements, deadlines, delivery and payment terms, and other relevant details.

The new service allows suppliers to reduce the time spent reviewing documentation, thereby quickly selecting suitable sessions for participation. To use it, simply open one of the quotation sessions on the portal and select the file with the summary in the "Documents" section.

In 2025, the supplier portal's knowledge base search was also modernized. Search results are now faster and more accurate, with improved recognition of typos and transliterations. A new option, Smart Search, was added to the search bar. With it, users can immediately get a concise answer to their question. The system aggregates key points from all relevant materials posted in the knowledge base and compiles them into an informational summary. For a more detailed study of a topic, users should independently review articles on the supplier portal. A standard search will help find links to them.

In addition, the supplier portal has expanded its tools for concluding contracts. This can now be done using a QR code anddirect linkThis opportunity is available to entrepreneurs from any region of Russia who have not yet registered on the platform.

Currently, regional customers with access to the direct procurement format on the supplier portal can initiate contract signing using a QR code. They can use this option if they need to procure rare goods, or order work or services not yet available on the platform. In this case, when creating a contract, customers must manually enter the supplier's information and send them an invitation to sign the contract in the form of a QR code or a direct link. The supplier must click this link, complete registration on the portal, and sign the contract. This mechanism reduces time and simplifies the process of registering and concluding the first contract.

Templates for similar products and electronic signature of offers

New solutions were also implemented in the product catalog in 2025. Users can now create cards for a range of similar products, such as shoes, uniforms, and items in a wide range of sizes or colors. Previously, each product had to be registered separately, but now they can combine similar items into a single order form by setting up template specifications and images. For example, if a business owner plans to offer portal users a new model of sneakers, they can create a single product card that includes the full range of sizes and colors. This will significantly speed up the review process for new products in the catalog by moderators, save time for all parties involved in the purchasing process, and increase the transparency of sales procedures.

Another important change concerns the product or service card interface. Customers can now view the average price of similar products over the past three years and the period of the last active offer from a specific supplier. This allows government and municipal agencies to quickly assess the cost of the product on offer and select the most advantageous offer.

Furthermore, last year, the supplier portal was integrated with the Gosklyuch mobile app. Now, individuals using the platform can sign price quotes for their goods, work, or services, even from their mobile devices. This innovation optimizes user resources and enhances their information security: thanks to encryption, the app reliably protects data.

Furthermore, since last year, customers and suppliers have been able to discuss important issues related to the conclusion and execution of contracts through a correspondence window. This window appears after the customer sends the supplier a draft contract for signature. Currently, users of the supplier portal can ask questions on topics such as protocols of disagreements, concluding supplementary agreements, contract termination, filing claims, and more. This allows them to clarify details, promptly make appropriate changes to documents, and resolve many other issues directly on the website.

The supplier portal has simplified the contracting process for new users.More than 600,000 contracts were signed on the supplier portal in 2025.

Save time and get competitive prices

The supplier portal is constantly evolving to enhance user convenience and ensure the reliability of transactions. Today, its functionality covers virtually every stage of the procurement process—from posting product information to concluding an electronic contract. Convenient free services allow small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individuals, to optimize their labor and time resources.

For example, when a new product is uploaded to the catalog, the neural network determines its possible category within a few seconds based on a photograph and suggests suitable characteristics. Using the built-in API service, suppliers can download the entire catalog or part of it for product analysis and procurement strategy development.

Additionally, to optimize participation in bidding sessions, the portal features an automated bidding bot. It allows suppliers to participate in multiple mini-auctions simultaneously. While the bot doesn't guarantee victory in a bidding session, it does save entrepreneurs significant time. At the same time, customers receive goods or services at a more favorable price due to the high level of competition.

For entrepreneurs who have recently joined the platform, there's a special educational service called "Supplier School," dedicated to quotation sessions. It helps them learn more about mini-auctions and practice during a training session. This training helps newcomers quickly master the necessary skills and effectively participate in procurement processes.

Suppliers on the resource can be commercial organizations, sole proprietors, self-employed individuals, and individuals. Thanks to transparent and clear operating mechanisms, they can enter into contracts with customers both in their region and elsewhere.

You can register on the supplier portal using your email address or signature, as well as an account on mos.ru or other systems. Simplified registration via email allows you to view information on the portal but does not allow you to participate in procurement. Legally significant actions—signing offers, contracts, and other documents—require an electronic signature. Suppliers can advertise their products and services on the platform. This information will be available to all users, even those registered without an electronic signature.

The functional customer of the supplier portal is Moscow City Department for Competition Policy, technical development is supervised by the capital Department of Information Technology.

A meeting of the Supervisory Board of the autonomous non-profit organization "Agency for Strategic Initiatives" (ASI) was held in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin chaired the meeting. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also participated. During the event, a national quality of life rating was presented and development goals for Russia's regions were outlined.

Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to the ASI team and thanked them for their work in implementing socially significant events.

"One of the key tools for measuring our shared efforts is the national quality of life rating. Traditionally, we summarize the results at the supervisory board meeting. I would like to ask you to specifically highlight the experience of regions that are leaders in supporting young people and large families. Best practices should be disseminated and incorporated into regional birth rate programs. Such plans, with the agency's participation, have already been developed in 19 regions of the Russian Federation," Vladimir Putin said.

He emphasized that employers should play a major role in the demographic agenda by providing additional incentives for parents to start large families. Furthermore, corporate practices for physical education should be developed.

As part of the program for preserving cultural heritage sites of the peoples of Russia, Vladimir Putin proposed approving a detailed plan for the restoration of ancient houses, estates, and industrial buildings. The document should include specific steps for integrating such buildings into modern cities.

The Russian President ordered that special attention be paid to the development of creative industries.

"At the same time, I propose launching, as early as this year, a separate competition for technology brands that shape the country's future. Its fundamental goal is to help small Russian technology companies make a name for themselves, promote their products and services, and ensure their recognition and widespread acceptance not only in our country but also internationally. And crucially, we need to create a comprehensive support system for promising projects that brings together innovators and investors," he noted.

In her report, Svetlana Chupsheva, head of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, presented the results of the quality of life ranking. This document has been compiled annually since 2021. It covers 12 areas, including education, health, work, housing, transportation, leisure, safety, and the environment. In 2025, nearly 345,000 Russians participated in the survey.

Moscow was recognized as a leader in areas such as support for large families, quality of healthcare, effectiveness of social support measures, investment attractiveness, employment opportunities, and lifelong learning.

"This year, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Tyumen Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Sakhalin Region made it into the top five in our quality of life rankings. Lipetsk Region and the Republic of Crimea made it into the top twenty for the first time this year," noted Svetlana Chupsheva.

She added that efforts to improve the investment climate in the regions are ongoing, including working with the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to develop roadmaps and discuss decisions that need to be made at the regional and federal levels. The head of the ASI proposed implementing this approach to improving quality of life.

Registration for the Unified State Exam (USE) has closed in Moscow. This year, more than 93,000 people in the capital plan to take the GIA-11, including over 72,000 11th-grade graduates this year, over 13,000 graduates from previous years, and over 6,000 college students. More than 1,000 people will take the state final exam, the press service reported. Moscow Department of Education and Science.

Moscow is creating all the conditions necessary for graduates to thoroughly prepare for the Unified State Exam. The school year for eleventh-graders is structured in a unique way: in the first semester, they master the core curriculum, and in the second, they focus on preparing for the Unified State Exam. At least 40 percent of the time in the second semester is devoted to practical exercises, where they can thoroughly examine complex topics and the exam format. This preparation format also helps them objectively assess their abilities and make an informed choice. This academic year, computer science, biology, and physics are among the most popular elective subjects for the Unified State Exam among Moscow graduates. Overall, interest in the sciences continues to grow. Over 43,000 eleventh-graders took the Advanced Level Unified State Exam in Mathematics—a six percent increase over last year. Interest in physics has also grown: over 14,000 graduates will take this subject—a five percent increase over the 2025 figure. Over 19,000 people chose computer science—a three percent increase. This dynamic is a direct response to economic demand and a conscious choice in favor of in-demand engineering and IT specialties," the department's press service noted.

English and social studies are also popular among graduates. These subjects are required for admission to many humanities and socioeconomics programs at universities.

To receive a secondary general education certificate, 11th-grade students must successfully pass two mandatory exams: one in Russian, which will take place on June 4, and one in mathematics (basic or advanced level), which will take place on June 8. These subjects are included among the first on the schedule, allowing graduates to receive their certificates without delay. Students can choose the remaining exams independently, depending on their plans for admission to higher education.

In 2026, the Unified State Exam will be held in three stages. The early stage will run from March 20 to April 20. The main stage will begin later than usual, on June 1, with exams in literature, history, and chemistry. This decision was made to ensure that students can fully master all subjects and complete their studies without curtailing the curriculum.

Physics and social studies exams will be held on June 11, and biology, geography, and foreign languages (written portions) will be held on June 15. Traditionally, two days—June 18 and 19—have been allocated for the Unified State Exam in computer science and the oral portion of the foreign language exam. Reserve days for the Unified State Exam in all subjects are scheduled from June 22 to July 9. An additional period for taking the Unified State Exam will run from September 4 to 25.

You can view the full exam schedule for eleventh-graders atwebsite Regional Information Processing Center of the City of Moscow. For questions about the state final certification in the capital, please call: 7 499 653-94-50.
