An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

To hold a business forum in a museum, to organize a business conference in a theater, to organize a meeting with key partners in an estate or at a stadium – this is a completely realistic plan for holding a corporate event in the capital. The city has many original, non-standard spaces that can become not only excellent venues for negotiations, seminars, product presentations, meetings with the business community, but also to make an indelible impression, to make each such event bright and memorable.

Business tourism is one of the most promising areas of the capital's hospitality industry. And Mosturism helps event organizers and representatives of unique spaces to work effectively in this direction. For this purpose, applications for an online course are open "Organization of MICE events for non-standard venues".

The new course will be useful for representatives of the capital's museums, art spaces, theaters, stadiums. This is a great opportunity to assess their own potential and find ways for additional monetization. Applications for participation are accepted on the portal "Russpass. Business".

The free online course is part of the Moscow School of Hospitality for Experts project.

During the training, representatives of the venues will be told how to create points of attraction for business events of different levels and scales, including international ones. They will receive applied knowledge and practical tools necessary for successful work in the MICE market.

The key advantage of the course is that the materials are developed taking into account the participants' requests and their level of training. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical focus of the program – the knowledge gained can be applied immediately from the first lessons.

Participants will hear speeches from MICE industry specialists: corporate and associate customers, experts in branding and promotion. Speakers will tell how to build a platform positioning, highlight competitive advantages, competently approach customer requests, determine the necessary resources and form an effective strategy for attracting and retaining partners. The course will feature real cases and speeches from representatives of successfully operating non-standard spaces, including the Moscow Planetarium, the Luzhniki Sports Complex and the Congress Center of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

The course "Organization of MICE events for non-standard venues" was launched on the basis of the "Moscow School of Hospitality" – an ecosystem of educational projects Mosturism, aimed at popularizing work in the industry, improving the quality of expertise of its representatives, as well as assisting in employment and finding employees in the industry. The Moscow School of Hospitality for Experts project is being implemented within the framework of the ecosystem. It helps industry representatives improve the level of service, develop professional and managerial competencies of employees, and adapt new personnel. The project includes nine free online courses that students take at any convenient time.

Earlier this summer, the Moscow School of Hospitality began accepting applications for the course "Organization of MICE Events." Its participants will learn about all stages of event preparation – from the idea to collecting guest feedback. Students will understand how to create and protect the concept of the event, build communication with clients, organize logistics, technical support of the event and document flow, and will also be able to structure work with risks.

Moscow City Tourism Committee creates a sustainable brand for the capital as one of the main tourist destinations in Russia and a center of competence in this area. Moscow attracts young professionals to the industry with the help of the program "Your Start in Tourism", helps established professionals improve their qualifications on courses of the "Moscow School of Hospitality". The city regularly organizes useful industry events – from large-scale conferences to hackathons.

The construction of an assembly chamber has begun for the launch of two tunnel boring machines (TBM) that will carry out the excavation of transfer tunnels on the extension section of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line from the Shchyolkovskaya station to the future Golyanovo station. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"To drive the tunnels between the Shchelkovskaya and Golyanovo stations, shields with a diameter of six meters will be used. The work will begin with the starting pit at the Shchelkovskaya station, located on Uralskaya Street, and will end in the dismantling and shield pit at the Golyanovo station. The length of both tunnels with turnaround dead ends will be 2.6 kilometers. The start of the first tunnel boring complex is scheduled for November of this year," said Vladimir Efimov.

After the excavation, the excavation of the pit for the construction of a traction and step-down substation and a structure for connecting to the existing Shchelkovskaya station of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line will continue.

“Currently, the installation of enclosing structures for the installation chamber pit is underway at the launch site using the ‘wall in the ground’ method,” added Maxim Gaman, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

According to the project, the Golyanovo station is shallow-level and will be built using open-pit methods in the area of the intersection of Ussuriyskaya and Sakhalinskaya streets.

The Golyanovo station includes an island platform and two underground vestibules. Each vestibule will have elevators for comfortable movement of passengers with limited mobility, as well as parents with baby carriages. Behind the station, turnaround dead ends will be built for the rolling stock of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line.

Journey to the End of the World. Participants of the Great Arctic Expedition — about how it was

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Moscow is opening up opportunities for schoolchildren and students to have the most exciting holidays. This summer, the kids were able to spend their time at master classes in drawing and dancing, on the rollerdrome, climbing wall and artificial waveFor travel lovers, we organized trips to the Caucasus, Altai, Yamal and in Murmansk region. And the bravest went even further, to the Taimyr Peninsula, on the fifth Great Arctic Expedition, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. For almost 10 days, teenagers conducted scientific research and restored a memorial to polar explorers off the coast of the Arctic Ocean.

"We are developing extracurricular programs for young Muscovites, paying special attention to active school tourism. A striking example is the Great Arctic Expedition, which was held for the fifth time. Before the trip, the children underwent multi-stage preparation: from the Arctic Dictation and adventure games to training camps in Karelia. During the expedition, they explored the flora and fauna of the Laptev Sea coast, completely restored one stele of the memorial complex to Soviet polar explorers, and collected material from the rest, which they will later study and develop a plan for the final reconstruction. In total, the young travelers covered more than 100 kilometers. In addition, the expedition group ran the world's first marathon along Cape Chelyuskin in a relay format," noted

Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

We tell you how young Muscovites explored the Arctic and what impressions the Far North left on them.

Serious preparation and great opportunities

The expedition to the Arctic took place from August 9 to 17 this year. It involved 14 schoolchildren and students from Moscow colleges. The children were accompanied by experienced instructors and mentors. The expedition was led by Matvey Shparo, a polar explorer, holder of the Orders of Courage and Friendship, and the first person to reach the North Pole on skis during the polar night (along with traveler Boris Smolin).

"The Great Arctic Expedition is a clear example of how even the wildest dreams can come true. It allows schoolchildren and students to expand their horizons, become more independent and feel like real heroes, who are described in books about the most incredible journeys. In order to understand who is ready to become a participant in the expedition, we conduct a selection. This year, more than 10 thousand people applied to participate," says Matvey Shparo.

The selection of future travelers was carried out in several stages. First, the children wrote the Arctic Dictation and competed in an adventure race, where they set up tents, tied knots and worked with camping equipment. Then the students competed in professional skills competitions, and schoolchildren developed and presented scientific projects.

"The final stage was a training camp in Karelia. By that time, we had already selected 40 of the most talented guys. They lived in tents for seven days and covered a 60-kilometer route. The teenagers honed their skills in orienteering and teamwork. Following the training, 14 students and schoolchildren made it to the finals. They became participants in the Great Arctic Expedition," notes Matvey Shparo.

Having packed thermal underwear, down jackets and rubber boots into their bags, the boys set off with their mentors. A plane from Moscow brought them to Norilsk, from where they reached the village of Khatanga. Here the teenagers split into two teams: "History Keepers" and "Arctic Explorers". The first team flew to Cape Chelyuskin, the northernmost point of Eurasia, and the second team set off on a walking route along the coast of the Laptev Sea.

Wild Animal Tracks and an Unnamed Lake

Having set foot on the cool soil, the guys from the "Arctic Explorers" squad immediately realized that they were truly lucky. They came on the expedition to study the flora and fauna of the harsh region and ended up in the Arctic summer.

"It turned out to be warm in the Arctic — up to plus 10 degrees. I learned about the opportunity to go to Taimyr from a friend who went on the Great Arctic Expedition last year. He told me how interesting it was, but, of course, cold. That's what I was preparing for. I took warm boots, knitted socks and gloves, and there was no snow or ice," says a participant in the expedition, a 10th-grade student.

School No. 57Mikhail Krasavin.

He has been to the northern regions more than once. Together with his family, Mikhail regularly goes on hikes to Karelia and the Kola Peninsula.

“Thanks to my parents, I have known how to pitch a tent and make a fire since childhood. But the expedition is not just a hike, but a real study. We went to Cape Pronchishchev to collect scientific samples for leading Russian institutes. We were pioneers on a route where no man had set foot before. The team was accompanied by leaders – people with incredible knowledge and wisdom. With their help, I learned a lot. For the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, I studied the fauna of mammals – I found and identified animal tracks. For example, I saw tracks of polar bears, wolves, reindeer, lemmings and weasels. We also took moss samples. In addition, along the way we found a lake that was not on the map. Now we are planning to give it a name,” says Mikhail Krasavin.

During their journey through the Far North, the "Arctic Explorers" walked more than 100 kilometers across the tundra and took 113 samples of moss, lichen, water, and air. In addition to warm clothing, the guys took sleeping bags, blankets, and roomy tents with them.

"In the evening we stopped for the night. Since it was the polar day and the sun did not set, an indispensable item after a sleeping bag and a tent was a sleeping mask. After waking up, we had breakfast and set off. We walked along lichens and scree – a scattering of stones of different sizes. It was very beautiful, so I took photos. In addition to the photos as a souvenir, I also took a branch of cetraria, or Icelandic moss, from the Far North – a lichen from which local people once made tea," emphasized Mikhail Krasavin.

The Northernmost Run and Cakes at the End of the World

While the young researchers were studying the flora and fauna of the north, members of the “Keepers of History” squad were restoring the stele in honor of Soviet polar explorers at Cape Chelyuskin, one of the northernmost memorial complexes in the world. Among the volunteer restorers was 17-year-old Ekaterina Egorshina, a third-year student College of Architecture, Design and Reengineering No. 26("26 KADR"), specializing in "environmental designer".

"The Great Arctic Expedition gave me incredible experience, strength and self-confidence. Already at the selection stage, I had to present a project for restoring the stele, calculating how much time and materials it would take, and then demonstrate my skills in grinding and painting. When I was chosen, I was incredibly happy. I tried to put in maximum effort during the expedition. The work on the monument was painstaking. First, we made the foundation, then cleared, primed, puttied and painted the stele. The paint was wear-resistant and resistant to frost and wind. Under the guidance of mentors, using a grinder and a welding machine, we installed the fence. We worked in warm clothes and gloves," says Ekaterina Egorshina.

In the Arctic, the guys not only restored the memorial, but also set records. On the last day of the expedition, they organized the northernmost marathon in Eurasia – the Arctic Challenge relay race.

"I love trails — cross-country runs. Once, I ran 50 kilometers with my dad through the Caucasus Nature Reserve. Before the trip here, I suggested holding a race in Taimyr. The organizers supported the idea. The event turned out to be atmospheric. We ran, chatted and admired nature. The clouds parted and the sun came out, leaving us with the warmest memories for the end. And one day we swam in the Laptev Sea. That was also unforgettable," says Ekaterina Egorshina.

The trip to the north was also a highlight in the life of another member of the “Keepers of History” squad, a 19-year-old third-year student food college № 33 Ekaterina Gulid.

"I am studying to be a technologist and was responsible for food during the expedition. We lived next to the weather station, we had water and electricity: the oven and stove worked. Before the trip, we made a menu and calculated the required amount of products. I cooked soups, pilaf, navy-style pasta, Caesar salad and even Potato cakes. And one day we had northern shawarma for breakfast. The ingredients are the same as in the usual one. It is just made in the north," notes Ekaterina Gulid.

The girl is sure that the memories of the Arctic will stay with her for the rest of her life. Here she found new friends and was convinced that she had chosen the right profession.

"This is an incredible project. It gives you the opportunity to go on an unforgettable journey, test yourself, become more confident and brave, be closer to nature. For example, we saw a polar bear with a cub. They were standing at a safe distance, but you could still see them. The emotions from such a meeting cannot be expressed in words. Now I dream of going to Antarctica to see the penguins," says Ekaterina Gulid.

Over the past five years, more than 470 proposals from Muscovites in the sphere have been implemented in the capital "Getting Around the City" on the "City of Ideas" platform. The ideas concerned the organization of traffic, pedestrian crossings and improvement of walking areas in many areas.

An example of the coordinated work of active users and city services was the comprehensive improvement of Stalevarov Street in the Eastern Administrative District. Thanks to the idea of a Muscovite and the decision of the district commission on road safety, it was possible to move the pedestrian crossing closer to residential buildings.

Platform users also left suggestions for organizing walking areas. Some of them have already been successfully implemented. For example, in the Zyablikovo district on Shipilovskaya Street near house 62a, a new place for recreation has appeared. Benches, urns, and large swings have been installed there, where the whole family can fit. The objects fit harmoniously into the urban environment, and the space has become popular for walks.

Comfortable movement for everyone

The main idea of Muscovites is to transform the urban environment and provide convenience for all residents. Thus, on Leningradsky Prospekt near house 31a, building 1, they equipped and paved with paving slabs a ramp for wheelchairs and baby carriages.

An asphalt path was made in place of the beaten path to the traffic light on 800-letiya Moskvy Street near building 22, building 2. Now you can comfortably walk to the crossing along the updated wide pedestrian zone even during rush hour.

More examples of the implementation of Muscovites' ideas can be found in the sphere "Getting Around the City"To sort, you need to check the box next to the item "Implemented ideas", and the system will automatically suggest suitable initiatives.

Since the beginning of the year, 44 electric bus routes have appeared in Moscow

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Since the beginning of 2025, 44 electric bus routes have been launched in Moscow. Eco-friendly transport has hit the roads in more than 60 districts of the capital. This year, electric buses began running in the village of Kokoshkino, and the largest number of eco-friendly routes (12) appeared in the South-West Administrative District. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

"With the launch of new equipment on the routes, the number of daily trips on electric buses has increased by 36 percent compared to last summer. Even more Muscovites began to use safe, comfortable and state-of-the-art transport, which minimizes the negative impact on the environment. We continue to improve the quality of passenger service within the framework of the Moscow transport development strategy until 2030, which was approved by Sergei Sobyanin," said Maxim Liksutov.

Eco-friendly transport of a modern city

The city is actively developing an environmentally friendly ground transportation network. Modern Russian-made electric buses have been making travel even more comfortable for passengers since 2018.

Improved equipment will be delivered to the capital from 2022. Such cars have adaptive interior lighting, which changes from a cold shade to a warm one at 14:00. The front route indicator, increased by 18 percent, makes it even easier to see the number from afar. The interior has an electric heater, which minimizes the impact on the environment and maintains an optimal temperature. The power reserve has increased from 40-50 to 80 kilometers, and the weight of the car has remained the same.

All electric buses meet safety and service standards. Smooth running, no noise or vibrations make trips comfortable. Low-floor transport is fully adapted for the comfort of passengers with limited mobility. For this purpose, a folding ramp and driver call buttons are provided. If necessary, he will help enter and leave the cabin. Bicycles, strollers or large luggage can be conveniently placed on the storage area.

The cabin has ports for charging gadgets, as well as media screens with useful information about the route. You can pay for travel in any convenient way using digital validators. In electric buses, an air curtain is activated when the doors are opened. It helps maintain a comfortable temperature in the cabin. For the safety of passengers, the transport is equipped with video cameras outside and inside.

Replacing one bus with such a vehicle reduces carbon dioxide emissions by more than 60 tons.

In 2024, more than 70 electric bus routes were launched in Moscow, and more than 800 innovative electric vehicles were delivered to the capital. Mosgortrans' electric bus fleet is the largest in Europe. More than 2,400 innovative KamAZ and LiAZ vehicles provide operation on more than 220 routes. It is expected that by 2035, almost the entire Mosgortrans fleet will switch to electric buses.

In 2025, the new generation of KAMAZ-52222 electric buses entered service. They have become even more comfortable thanks to an improved interior layout, a 15 percent larger storage area, space for hand luggage, and a modified door design. The climate control system has become even more efficient, and the doors now have light strips with opening and closing indicators. The appearance has become even more in line with modern trends in global industrial design. Under the contract with PJSC KAMAZ, this year it is planned to deliver 400 KAMAZ-52222 electric buses of the A5 generation. They are being created taking into account the operating experience of earlier models and passenger feedback. Moscow's order for the creation of new equipment supports employment in the regions and stimulates the development of domestic industry.

Infrastructure for electric buses

The corresponding infrastructure for eco-friendly transport is also being developed. For example, this year more than 50 ultra-fast charging stations were connected. The Novokosino site was completely transferred to servicing electric transport. Contracts have been signed for the delivery of another 1.1 thousand modern eco-friendly vehicles in 2025-2027, 100 of which have already arrived in the parks of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans.

In total, 400 ultra-fast charging stations have already been connected at terminal stations and operational sites, of which more than 50 will be connected in 2025.

Today, electric buses are serviced at 12 sites of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans. The capital was the first in Russia to start building modern electric bus depots. In 2022, the largest electric bus depot in Europe, Krasnaya Pakhra, opened in TiNAO. Eco-friendly vehicles appeared in the Novomoskovsky and Troitsky administrative districts. A year later, the Mitino depot was built in the northwest. With its opening, electric buses began running on routes in 20 districts of the capital and two nearby cities in the Moscow region. At the end of 2023, the third innovative electric bus depot, Saltykovka, began operating. It services routes in the east of the city.
