KYIV, July 23 /Xinhua/ — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has created a delegation to participate in the upcoming peace talks with international partners and Russia in Istanbul, and approved its composition, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Wednesday.

According to the text of the decree of V. Zelensky from July 22, published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU), the delegation will be headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who previously held the post of Minister of Defense.

In addition to R. Umerov, the Ukrainian delegation will include 13 more representatives of intelligence services, parliament, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President. Moscow, July 23 /Xinhua/ — The third round of Russian-Ukrainian talks will be held in Istanbul on Wednesday evening, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed.

“Indeed, our delegation has gone to Istanbul and, indeed, negotiations are planned there this evening,” said D. Peskov.

BEIJING, July 23 (Xinhua) — The first cargo transported through the sea-highway-railway multimodal transportation system in the city of Rongcheng in Shandong Province has successfully cleared customs through the port of Shidao, east China, according to a statement posted on the website of Qingdao Customs.

According to the report, the customs clearance of this cargo was carried out under the supervision of customs officers in Rongcheng, which is under the jurisdiction of Qingdao Customs.

The container with the cargo was delivered to the port of Shidao by sea from the port of Incheon /Republic of Korea/ and will be transported by road to the city of Jiaozhou in Shandong Province. BEIJING, July 23 (Xinhua) — The share of zero-tariff goods in the Hainan Free Trade Port will increase to 74 percent from 21 percent, according to a press conference held Wednesday.

Deputy head of China's National Development and Reform Commission Wang Changlin announced that the Hainan Free Trade Port will officially launch independent customs operations across the island on December 18, 2025.

BEIJING, July 23 (Xinhua) — Kazakhstan became the largest trading partner of Gansu Province (Northwest China) from January to June this year, Zhongxinshe News Agency reported, citing data from the local customs service.

Gansu Province's foreign trade volume in the first half of 2025 was 35.21 billion yuan, up 33.8 percent year on year, ranking second in the country in terms of foreign trade growth rate.

In particular, exports from Gansu reached 8.56 billion yuan, up 40.5 percent, while imports to the province rose 31.7 percent to 26.65 billion yuan.

The trade volume between Gansu Province and Kazakhstan in goods in the first half of this year was 7.35 billion yuan. Indonesia and Australia were also among the province's top three trading partners.

During the reporting period, Gansu Province saw dynamic growth in its exports of electric vehicles, photovoltaic products and lithium-ion batteries, with the volume of such products supplied to the international market reaching 200 million yuan, an increase of 18.9 times.

Ob and "Flame": Polytechnic students help build the second Surgut bridge

The second Surgut bridge is being built to relieve the only existing crossing over the Ob River, opened in 2000. In general, the facility is a transport network, including a highway, three overpasses, four small bridges and several interchanges. It will connect several Russian regions, help develop the oil and gas industry and the Arctic. The construction of the second Surgut bridge has been declared an all-Russian student construction project. The work is gradually moving towards the end, and the builders expect that thanks to young and energetic assistants, they will complete the construction already in the fourth quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, the guys from "Plamen" are sandblasting the metal structures inside the bridge, carefully cleaning them from traces of corrosion. The girls are not far behind – they paint the bolted connections and welds so that they do not become covered in rust again.

Despite the completely new conditions, the members of our unit are working on the construction site with great pleasure and helping to complete the facility by the scheduled deadlines," said SSO "Flame" fighter Dmitry Chernyshov.

Students gain valuable experience working with compressors, sandblasting equipment, improve their skills in electricity, mechanics and find new friends.
