Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for International Cooperation Asaad bin Tariq Al Said

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin paid a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman. He held talks with Deputy Prime Minister for International Cooperation Asaad bin Tariq Al Said and Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousuf. He also participated in the Russia-Oman Business Forum.

During the talks, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Russian-Omani dialogue is characterized by a high pace and rich content, facilitated by the trusting and close communication between the leaders of the countries – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarek Al Said.

"There is positive momentum in trade and economic relations. Compared to 2021, trade turnover has almost doubled. Promising areas of our bilateral cooperation include expanding the supply of halal products and sharing best practices in housing construction. We look forward to close collaboration. I am confident it has significant potential," said Marat Khusnullin.

The parties also discussed key areas of cooperation between the states in transport and logistics, energy, and tourism.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke at the plenary session "Russia – Oman: A Look to the Future" of the Russia – Oman Business Forum, organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

"This year, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Sultanate of Oman. Over the years, we see that our relations, based on mutual respect, shared interests, and a commitment to the principles of a multipolar world, span a wide range of areas and are demonstrating positive growth. We see that bilateral tourism is growing. We certainly appreciate Oman's participation in the International Economic Forum 'Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.' There is great potential for increasing trade turnover, developing transit traffic along the North-South transport corridor, and jointly implementing large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and housing projects. Experience in modernizing and developing the housing and utilities sector will also be useful. Joining forces will create new growth areas for the economies of both countries," said Marat Khusnullin.

The 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad

The results of the application campaign for the 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad (NTO) have been announced. More than 226,000 students in grades 5–11 and colleges participated. This academic year, applications were submitted by participants from all regions of Russia, as well as from countries including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and Turkmenistan.

The Olympiad Organizing Committee is headed by First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Over the course of the National Technology Olympiad, more than 1 million schoolchildren and students have participated—a significant indicator of the demand for engineering and science among young people today. Over its 11 years, the Olympiad has grown into a major national platform where schoolchildren and students from across the country master modern technologies, solve real-world problems, and begin their professional careers. It is especially important that the NTO helps develop the human resources necessary for Russia's technological leadership—a national goal set by our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin," noted Deputy Prime Minister and NTO Organizing Committee Co-Chair Dmitry Chernyshenko.

This year, the National Technology Olympiad for high school students includes 35 tracks, with the student track covering seven areas. NTO participants solve real-world problems in the most promising fields of science and technology: from robotics and genome editing to financial technology and space systems development. The tasks are developed in collaboration with leading universities and technology companies across the country.

In the finals, schoolchildren and students will experience teamwork, modern equipment, and meeting like-minded individuals and task developers. Winners and runners-up in most scientific and technical training (NTO) profiles for grades 8–11, as included in the Order of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, will receive 100 Unified State Exam (USE) points and the right to enroll in leading Russian universities without entrance examinations. The best Olympiad participants will be invited to internships at technology and IT companies. The winning students will receive preferential admission to master's programs at partner universities and the opportunity to complete internships with potential employment opportunities.

"Following the application campaign, 'Computer Game Development' became the most popular program among high school students for the first time, with over 8,000 registered. 'Artificial Intelligence' came in second, with over 7,000 participants. 'Business Process Automation' came in third, with 5,000 students applying. It's gratifying that the Higher School of Economics is organizing these scientific and technological areas," emphasized Nikita Anisimov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics and Deputy Co-Chair of the Olympiad Organizing Committee. "Over the past few years, the Olympiad has become a tool for informed career choices. We look forward to welcoming these motivated students among our students in the future."

Following the application process for the senior track of the NTO for students in grades 8–11, the Novosibirsk Region received the most applications—35,185 participants. The top five regions also included St. Petersburg (13,682), Moscow (12,070), the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug—Yugra (9,009), and the Moscow Region (8,676).

58% of Olympiad participants are boys and 42% are girls. In terms of age distribution, tenth-graders lead the senior track (29.5%), followed by ninth-graders (26%) and eleventh-graders (24%).

"For many participants, the Scientific and Technical Project has opened the door to the world of technology and teamwork. We see how schoolchildren grow with the project: they start with simpler tasks in fifth grade, participating in junior competitions, and within a few years, they're winning the senior track, receiving bonuses for admission to leading universities in the country, and invitations to internships. This demonstrates sustained interest and the fact that the Scientific and Technical Project of the presidential platform truly helps shape development paths in engineering and science and creates opportunities for the growth and development of talented young people," noted Andrey Betin, CEO of the Presidential Platform "Russia – Land of Opportunities" and Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

The Olympiad is holding its seventh NTO Junior track for students in grades 5–7. This year, 23,990 students from 86 regions of Russia, as well as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia, applied. From November 10th to 18th, the Junior Track finals are taking place in 64 regions across the country. A total of 4,950 participants have received invitations to the final rounds. Finalists will compete in seven competitive areas: virtual reality, artificial intelligence, computer games, space, robotics, habitats, and cyber-physical systems.

In November and December, the qualifying round of the National Technology Olympiad for high school and university students continues, with teams solving complex problems in their chosen fields. The finals of the 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad will be held from February to April 2026 at leading universities and partner technology companies in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tomsk, Tyumen, and other cities.

The National Technology Olympiad is the first and largest team engineering competition for schoolchildren and students in Russia. The NTO is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in conjunction with the Presidential Platform "Russia – Land of Opportunity" as part of the national project "Youth and Children," with the support of the Movement of the First, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and the NTI Platform. The Olympiad's project office is based at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, with methodological support from the NTI Circle Movement.

On December 3–4, 2025, the All-Russian Personnel Forum will be held at VDNKh, the main venue for discussing the future of the Russian labor market. It will bring together representatives of federal and regional government agencies, major employers, the HR community, universities, and industry associations and unions.

The forum will open with a plenary session featuring federal government leaders, where key labor market trends for the next seven years will be presented for the first time.

"The All-Russian Personnel Forum is part of the national 'Personnel' project and is timed to coincide with the results of the All-Russian 'Best in Profession' professional skills competition. A meeting of the Presidential Council for Professional Qualifications will be held on the sidelines of the forum. It will present the key trends we are seeing in preparing our seven-year personnel needs forecast. Industry agencies, regional teams, and employers will gather at the forum. This will serve as a kind of year-end summary for the labor market, a platform where we can share our visions for the future," noted Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister and Chair of the Organizing Committee of the 'Best in Profession' competition.

The All-Russian Personnel Forum is also designed for young people. Schoolchildren and students will be able to receive career guidance, try their hand at in-demand professions of the future, and receive assistance from career consultants.

"The two-day business program consists of 40 events. The forum will discuss issues related to industry-specific staffing, continuing education, and, of course, youth engagement. Under current circumstances, our primary talent pool is young people. Developing a talent pool is a pressing issue for virtually every large company. Therefore, a separate section of the business program for HR specialists is dedicated to this very topic," noted Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

The business program will bring together representatives of Russia's largest companies—leaders in IT, manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, and other industries. The forum will discuss issues such as the interaction between government, business, and education amid the growing economic demand for talent; labor market regulation; and the alignment of educational programs and graduate training with employer needs.

The discussion will also cover practical issues, such as effectively recruiting qualified employees, attracting workers to specific industries, promoting blue-collar jobs, employee motivation tools, and more. Leading HR experts will share best practices in HR policy and effective tools for internal communications and corporate programs.

The business program is available on the forum's website. Ahead of the forum, the winners of the All-Russian Professional Skills Competition "Best in Profession" will be awarded at the Kremlin on December 2.

The correspondence stage of the All-Russian "More Than a Journey" award has been completed.

"The 'More Than a Journey' Award has confirmed its nationwide status. Nearly 8,000 applications were submitted from across the country. The award brings together those who, through travel across our vast Motherland, help instill spiritual and moral values, a sense of patriotism, and love for their country in young Russians. Applicants include students and teachers, museums and large industrial enterprises, tour guides, and representatives of the tourism and hospitality industries. The wide audience's interest in the award demonstrates the great potential of educational work with young people through educational tourism trips," noted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The authors of applications for the award included entrepreneurs, tour operators, and specialists in the field of youth policy and patriotic education.

"Seventy-two finalists have reached the final round of the All-Russian 'More Than a Journey' Prize. Their initiatives were selected by experts in absentia. The projects presented include patriotic routes, tours of industrial plants and nuclear cities, and media projects that reveal the distinctive character of cities and the unique cultural codes of their regions. The finalists will now present their projects in person, after which the best authors will be selected. In addition to expert assessments, the results of a public vote, which will begin in November, will be taken into account when determining the winners. The names of all the laureates will be announced on December 24 at the awards ceremony at the National Center "Russia," said Grigory Gurov, Head of Rosmolodezh.

The nominees were evaluated by experts based on general and category-specific criteria. The participants with the highest scores advanced to the finals.

An important part of the finalists' preparation for the in-person defense of their initiatives is the educational component: participants participate in online lectures and master classes from the Rosmolodezh leadership, media industry leaders, business leaders, and public organizations. The finalists learn about effective communications, attracting tourists, personal branding, and working with public initiatives.

The RosPatriotCenter of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs held a webinar for award nominees on the topic "Meaningful Tourism: How to Foster Patriots Through Travel." Participants discussed how traveling around the country helps young people discover Russia's history and culture and strengthen their sense of pride in their homeland. In 2025, the RosPatriotCenter of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the "More Than a Journey" program organized a patriotic tourism camp for youth on Shumshu Island, where participants learned about the legendary Kuril Landing Operation.

The finalists also participated in other themed master classes and presentations by invited experts on the educational platform. All subscribers of the "More Than a Journey" program community on VKontakte can watch the webinar broadcasts.

The full list of finalists is published onofficial website of the awardA separate ranking of the top 50 participants in the "More Than a Traveler" category will be available. Any questions regarding participation can be submitted via the feedback form on the awards website, by email to premia@morethantrip.ru, or by calling customer support at 8 (800) 444–80–63.

Since 2025, the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Journey" has become part of the federal project "We Are Together (Raising a Harmoniously Developed Personality)" of the national project "Youth and Children."
