A large-scale creative competition uniting hero cities, cities of military glory, and cities of labor valor is taking place December 9-10 at the Podmoskovie Palace of Culture.

The project consists of two parts. The first is a team competition. This involves stage performances in which youth groups explore the heroic history of their cities. Each team will present a theatrical performance dedicated to historical events, outstanding achievements, cultural heritage, landmarks, and the contribution of their city's residents to the Great Victory.

Teams from Volokolamsk, Dmitrov, Naro-Fominsk, Tula, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Orel, Kursk, Novorossiysk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Moscow, and Krasnogorsk will take the stage. They will be mentored by active heroes of the Air Defense Forces and combat veterans. The winning city will receive honorary status and financial support for the development of its historical brand.

BEIJING, December 9 (Xinhua) — The Shenzhou-21 crew aboard the Chinese space station completed the first round of extravehicular activity on Tuesday, the China Manned Space Administration (CMSA) announced.

Three astronauts—Zhang Lu, Wu Fei, and Zhang Hongzhang—worked for approximately eight hours and completed their assigned tasks by 6:45 PM Beijing time. The astronauts were assisted by a robotic arm and a team of scientific and technical specialists on the ground. Wu Fei became the youngest Chinese astronaut ever to conduct a spacewalk.

According to the CMSA, Zhang Lu and Wu Fei successfully completed the tasks of inspecting and photographing the window of the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft's return capsule, installing a device to protect the space station from space debris, and replacing the multilayer coating of the thermal control adapter.

According to the plan, the Shenzhou-21 mission will include new rounds of extravehicular activities involving the crew and the use of applied payloads, as well as scientific experiments and technical tests.
