UNITED NATIONS, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — Less than 17 percent of the $46 billion needed to meet global humanitarian needs in 2025 has been received so far, Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq said at a daily briefing on Thursday.

“More than half a year has passed, and the situation with funding for humanitarian activities remains deplorable,” said F. Haq, citing data from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
