The Vnukovo International Airport hosted a ceremony to welcome the 100 millionth passenger of Pobeda Airlines. It was Anastasia Krylova, who flew from Vnukovo to Kaliningrad.

The event was also attended by Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin, Head of Rosaviatsia Dmitry Yadrov, and General Director of PJSC Aeroflot Sergey Aleksandrovsky.

Today, Pobeda Airlines ranks second in terms of air transportation volume in Russia. The route network covers more than 100 destinations, half of which are regional, bypassing the capital. On 15 routes, Pobeda is currently the only air carrier. The airline demonstrates record indicators: the average flight load is 95%, and on many routes the load reaches 100%. Pobeda planes spend up to 14 hours a day in the air, and on the ground, thanks to unique technology, the aircraft servicing time between flights is only 25 minutes.

"Pobeda Airlines has made the sky truly accessible to millions of Russians, connecting remote regions and giving people new cities and resorts. It has become a reliable and predictable transport partner. Welcoming the 100 millionth passenger of Pobeda Airlines is a landmark event for domestic civil aviation, symbolizing the efficiency and success of the airline. Pobeda's unique concept is based on high flight safety and punctuality, flexible fares and strict compliance by passengers with special transportation rules. All this allows us to reduce the cost of a flight hour and offer passengers more tickets at favorable prices. This proves that Pobeda successfully fulfills its mission: "We inspire travel by making flights affordable," said Vitaly Savelyev.

"Pobeda has fully justified its name – it is a successful airline that demonstrates outstanding results. Everyone can follow its example! Including other global low-cost airlines," added Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin.

Dmitry Chernyshenko: Registration for the 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad has started in Russia

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Government of the Russian Federation – Government of the Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On August 26, the application process for the 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad (NTO) began – the first and largest team engineering competition for schoolchildren and students in Russia. Students in grades 5–11, colleges and universities are invited to participate. Every year, the Olympiad brings together hundreds of thousands of young people, offering more than 40 relevant technology areas. Everyone can choose a profile based on their interests and try their hand at solving real problems.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the competition will be held in three age categories: NTO Junior for schoolchildren in grades 5–7, the senior track for grades 8–11, and the student track. Registration for grades 5–7 is open until October 13, for grades 8–11 and students – until November 4 on the Olympiad website: my.ntcontest.ru/.

The NTO is held under the coordination of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education together with the presidential platform "Russia – the Country of Opportunities" within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children", with the support of the "Movement of the First", the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the ANO "NTI Platform". The project office of the Olympiad is deployed at the HSE with the methodological support of the NTI Circle Movement. The NTO Organizing Committee is headed by First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Since 2015, the National Technology Olympiad has brought together almost 900 thousand schoolchildren and students from all over Russia, as well as from 77 other countries. The Olympiad, initially conceived as an all-Russian engineering competition, has gradually reached the international level. And we are confident that with the launch of the 11th season, the geography of participants will only expand, and their number will exceed a million. However, NTO is not only about scale. The main thing here is people. Young, bright, talented guys who do not just study science and technology, but are already creating the future today. This shows that the culture of scientific and technological thinking is growing stronger in our country. NTO has become a real magnet for those who want to grow, develop and change the world," Sergei Kiriyenko noted earlier at a meeting of the NTO organizing committee.

In the new NTO season, high school students have access to 35 technology profiles – from artificial intelligence, neurotechnology and information security to robotics, genome editing, underwater and space systems. The student track of the Olympiad includes six profiles – participants will have to solve problems in the field of biology and medicine, monitoring of territories, and develop solutions for the extraction of minerals.

"Every year, the National Technology Olympiad attracts an increasing number of interested, talented schoolchildren and students: last season alone, it collected one and a half times more applications than in 2023 – about 220 thousand. Today, the NTO is a strategic tool for training personnel, which is developing along with the challenges of the time. I am confident that thanks to continuous development and active cooperation with leading universities and technology companies, the Olympiad will continue to make its important contribution to the formation of a personnel reserve for achieving the national goals set by President Vladimir Putin," Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.

He also reported that this season of the NTO, four new profiles are being launched for high school students. They reflect key trends in science and engineering: "Modeling in Biotechnology", "Structural Safety", "Flexible and Molecular Electronics", "Engineering Networks of Future Cities". During the competition, schoolchildren in grades 8–11 will have to design a space mission to monitor the Earth's electromagnetic field, create a VR simulator with realistic control mechanics, and develop an autonomous transport system for a smart city. Participants will also work on computer games, design satellites, and train neural networks. The team format of the Olympiad helps develop not only technical competencies, but also the ability to distribute roles, communicate, and find non-standard solutions in a short time.

"The Olympiad has long established itself as an effective, important tool that helps prepare future leaders in the field of science and technology. Thanks to this annual intellectual competition, schoolchildren can try themselves in the role of engineers or developers, and students can develop and consolidate professional competencies," said Deputy Co-Chairs of the NTO Organizing Committee, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov.

Winners and prize winners of the NTO school track profiles included in the draft order of the Ministry of Education and Science will receive benefits when entering universities – up to 100 points in the Unified State Exam or enrollment without entrance examinations. Students who show high results can complete internships in research centers and companies – NTO partners, and also take advantage of benefits when entering master's programs at universities – organizers of the Olympiad profiles.

"Today, NTO is a unique ecosystem for developing engineering thinking and practical skills. Its participants learn to work in a team, solve non-standard problems and act under time constraints, and thus, comprehend everything that a modern specialist needs. Thanks to partnerships with leading companies and universities, NTO creates a foundation on which schoolchildren can begin to build a successful professional trajectory from middle school. I am confident that many of the Olympiad participants will become leaders in technological development and make a significant contribution to strengthening Russia's technological sovereignty," emphasized Nikita Anisimov, Deputy Co-Chairs of the NTO Organizing Committee and Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Since 2019, the NTO Junior track for schoolchildren in grades 5–7 has been held together with the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”. In the new season, junior competitions will cover seven areas: virtual reality, artificial intelligence, computer games, space, robots, habitat, and a new direction – cyber-physical systems. For middle school students, NTO is an opportunity to take their first steps into the world of modern technologies and project thinking.

"I congratulate all the participants, mentors and organizers on the beginning of the 11th season of the National Technology Olympiad. Every year, NTO is not just growing, but getting better and better: new profiles appear that meet the most pressing challenges of the time in the field of science and engineering. For hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren, this is a unique opportunity to implement their bold ideas today and create projects that have real practical significance. The Olympiad lays the foundation for the future, clearly demonstrating that the ability to change the world for the better through technology has no age limits – you can start as early as the fifth grade. I am sure that our common future lies in such projects. And the presidential platform "Russia – Country of Opportunities" will continue to comprehensively support young talents on this path," said Andrey Betin, CEO of the presidential platform "Russia – Country of Opportunities", Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

The NTO Junior finals for students in grades 5–7 will be held in November 2025, and high school and university students will meet at the final competitions in February–April 2026 at the venues of the country's leading technological universities: HSE, ITMO University, RTU MIREA, MEPhI, Moscow Polytechnic University, FEFU, NSU, Tomsk Polytechnic University and others.

Let us recall that in the 10th season of the National Technology Olympiad, 220 thousand schoolchildren and students applied to participate, and the total coverage of the Olympiad since 2015 has exceeded 880 thousand participants from all regions of Russia and 77 foreign countries.

Dmitry Grigorenko: More than 15 million people have used the “life situations” services

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

More than 15 million people have used the "life situations" services. Among the most popular are services for entering a university, retirement, registration for sports competitions, large families, hunting and fishing trips.

The "life situations" services are a new stage in the development of government services. Each such service combines about 17 government services related to a single topic and helps to obtain them comprehensively, in a "single window" mode.

Now you don't need to search for each service on the pages of different authorities, spend extra time visiting departments and collecting documents. The services that people and businesses need are provided comprehensively and are in one place, on the state services portal and regional portals.

The digitalization of government services is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Data Economy”, which is supervised by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government Staff Dmitry Grigorenko.

"More than 15 million people have already used the "life situations" services. This is every seventh user of the public services portal. "Life situations" have become a new stage in the development of the entire system of public services. They embody the principle of the state as a service, where the government works for people quickly, clearly and conveniently. Citizens and businesses receive comprehensive solutions without having to contact various authorities. High demand proves that this is not just a technological process, but a change in the philosophy of interaction between citizens and government agencies: now services come to the person, and not vice versa," said Dmitry Grigorenko.

At the federal level, the "life situations" services have been implemented since 2023 and 35 such services have already been launched. The first place in popularity is occupied by the "life situation" for admission to a university. The service allowed applicants to compare educational programs online in one place, get information about the competition and the number of budget places, track their positions in the competition lists, and choose the most interesting universities for themselves based on their passing score. It was also possible to submit documents for admission during the admissions campaign online, without visiting the admissions office.

The “life situation” service for retirement allows you to find out how to apply for a pension, about social support measures and other benefits for pensioners, as well as receive an extract on the status of an individual personal account, arrange for the delivery of a pension and social benefits, request a certificate on the amount of a pension, and more.

With the help of the “life situation” for participation in amateur sports competitions, you can find out about all the events included by the Ministry of Sports in a single calendar plan, become their participant or fan, and also receive a medical certificate of admission to participate in the event.

"Life situation" for large families helps to formalize the status of a large family and obtain an electronic certificate, as well as save time on visiting departments and searching for information on registration of payments, benefits and documents. The service provides information on the list of institutions that accept the electronic certificate, and the opportunity to leave feedback on the quality of services.

You can get a hunting license, a permit to purchase and store weapons for hunting, and use a digital atlas of amateur fishing using the "life situation" service for hunting and fishing trips. The atlas of amateur fishing is operating in test mode and provides information for fishermen in two regions – the Leningrad and Astrakhan regions. The service allows you to see fishing areas on the map, as well as learn the rules for amateur fishing. In the future, the atlas will provide data for other regions.

Due to the introduction of federal services, the number of “life situations” has decreased on average:

— by 29% (from 28 to 20 units) – the number of required documents;

— by 35% (from 102 to 66 days) – time to receive government services;

— by 64% (from 14 to 5 visits) – the need to visit departments.

Since 2024, regional services “life situations” will also be implemented.

Within the framework of one regional service “life situation” the average decrease was:

— by 40% (from 10 to 6 units) – the number of required documents;

— by 42% (from 57 to 33 days) – the time to receive government services;

— by 67% (from 6 to 2) – the need to visit departments.

By the end of 2025, 70 federal and 425 regional “life situations” services will be operating.

Moscow, August 26 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese government's proposal to create an organization for international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) is aimed at implementing the principle of multilateralism and meets the expectations of the Global South, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said in a written interview with the Russian online publication Lenta.ru on Monday.

The ambassador recalled that the corresponding proposal was voiced during the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence /WAIC-2025/ and the High-Level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence, which were held in late July in Shanghai.

"This is an effective step by China to implement the principle of multilateralism and respond to the call of the Global South. In the future, the organization will strive to build a new platform for global innovation cooperation and safe governance in the field of artificial intelligence, and contribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the healthy and sustainable development of AI," Zhang Hanhui said.

The Chinese diplomat noted that AI technologies are currently developing rapidly around the world, and they have a profound impact on the socio-economic development and progress of human civilization. At the same time, they bring with them unpredictable risks and complex challenges. “Artificial intelligence, like a ‘double-edged sword’, can, on the one hand, become a positive force that strengthens public governance and maintains international security, while, on the other hand, it can turn into a source of risk that undermines justice, peace and stability,” he emphasized.

Zhang Hanhui assured that the Chinese side will adhere to the concept of "joint consultation, joint construction and joint use", develop a cooperation strategy with relevant countries, and support all countries in developing AI cooperation according to their national characteristics. He called on like-minded countries and partners to join this important undertaking, jointly promote global governance and international cooperation in the field of AI.

According to the Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation, the countries of the Global South responded particularly positively, viewing the Chinese initiative as a key opportunity to bridge the digital divide and increase technological independence. He added that China is fulfilling its important commitment to making the fruits of AI development available to all countries.

According to the Chinese diplomat, in recent years, the technology and application of artificial intelligence in China have been rapidly developing. To date, the country has built over 30,000 basic-level intelligent factories, over 1,200 advanced-level intelligent factories, and over 230 superior-level intelligent factories. China has become the world's largest holder of AI patents, with the country holding about 60 percent of global AI patents. "Overall, artificial intelligence in China has moved from laboratory research to the stage of large-scale industrial application. Hundreds of millions of Chinese people have truly experienced the sense of use satisfaction, happiness, and security brought by the progress of artificial intelligence in areas such as smart manufacturing, precision medicine, personalized education, and convenient transportation," he added.

At the same time, Zhang Hanhui pointed out that China adheres to the concept of “humans above all, and AI for the good,” advocates minimizing potential risks in the field of artificial intelligence through multilateral cooperation, gradation of risk control and management by levels, and the use of transparent and traceable technological approaches. Therefore, China does not share the pessimistic views of “technological fatalism” and resolutely opposes the uncontrolled development of AI, the diplomat added.

The Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation also noted that in the field of artificial intelligence development, Russia has a great deal of fundamental research and unique advantages in such aspects as algorithms and computing power. “China and Russia, being linked by a comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction entering a new era, should make full use of their technological advantages and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence,” Zhang Hanhui concluded. –0–

BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) — The 25th China International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT) will be held from Sept. 8 to 11 in Xiamen, east China's Fujian Province, Vice Minister of Commerce Lin Ji said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Lin Ji said that the event will last for four days. The exhibition area of about 120,000 square meters will host more than 70 events dedicated to investment topics, as well as over 100 themed road shows.

According to Lin Ji, the UK will be the honorary country of the fair this year. Delegations from more than 110 countries, regions and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the event, with 51 countries and regions presenting their own exhibits.

The Deputy Minister of Commerce noted that against the backdrop of weak growth dynamics in the global economy, an increase in the number of trade and investment barriers and an obvious slowdown in cross-border investment, active participation in this event indicates that China still has enormous potential for attracting capital investment.

Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial People's Government Wang Jinfu said that this year's CIFIT will also serve as a "bridge" for countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening ties and promoting practical cooperation. To date, 77 countries and regions participating in the initiative have confirmed their participation in the event, and new cooperation results will be presented during the fair.

First organized in 1997 by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, CIFIT has become an important platform for promoting investment and promoting global development. –0–
