Rosneft won the "Best Auto Routes" award at the PRObrand-2025 international competition. An expert jury evaluated the Company's federal and regional routes, recognizing them as the benchmark for road trips across Russia.

The "Best Driving Routes" award was established to promote the most interesting and well-developed driving routes. In 2025, over 300 projects were submitted to the competition, posted on official regional tourism websites. A prestigious expert committee, including representatives of the tourism industry, the automotive community, and the media, assessed the routes' depth of development, their tourist appeal, and the availability of infrastructure.

Winning the award confirms the Company's leadership in creating high-quality tourism infrastructure in Russia. Developed in collaboration with regional authorities, the routes allow travelers to discover unique corners of the country, exploring its cultural heritage and natural attractions.

In 2025, the Company developed and launched 17 tourist routes passing through Rosneft filling stations. These include routes through Bashkortostan ("Pavlovskaya Around the World," "Victory Routes"), Orenburg ("Steppe Stories"), Voronezh ("Cave Temples"), and Kaluga Oblasts ("Space," "In Tsvetaeva's Footsteps," "Kaluga for Beginners," "Patriotic"), Udmurtia ("Playing the Game for the Weekend"), Khakassia ("To the Mighty Hydroelectric Power Station on the Yenisei," "Shirinsky Krai – Lake Paradise," "Steppe Heart of Khakassia"), and Altai Krai ("Hello, Altai"). Three interregional routes were also presented: "Ural Wind" – through the Orenburg and Samara regions, "Kama Necklace" – through Bashkiria and Udmurtia, and "Trans-Volga Horizons" – through the Samara and Saratov regions.

Since 2023, Rosneft has already launched 50 unique routes spanning 24 regions of the Russian Federation. The "Pearl of Southern Russia" route, which passes through the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, marks the fiftieth anniversary.

The Company's activities in this area extend beyond route development. Memoranda of cooperation have been signed with 10 regions: Altai Krai, Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Samara, and Ulyanovsk Oblasts, as well as Krasnoyarsk Krai, Moscow, Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, and Stavropol Krai. These partnerships include car rallies, educational events and presentations, quizzes and contests, restoration work at museums and estates, the creation of eco-trails, and much more.

The routes are available on the Rosneft website and on the Company's unique information and service platform, Gorizonty, and are also presented on the websites of regional tourist information centers.

A wide range of routes is possible thanks to the Company's retail network, the largest in Russia in terms of geographic coverage and number of stations. Rosneft operates approximately 3,000 gas stations in 62 regions across the country. The Rosneft gas station brand remains one of the leaders in Russia in terms of recognition and fuel quality.

Beijing, October 31 (Xinhua) — Currently, the checkpoint located at Xi'an Airport, the capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, serves 53 international passenger air routes, covering 49 major cities in 24 countries, including seven cities in five Central Asian countries. This makes Xi'an Airport one of the country's hubs, with the largest number of destinations in Central Asia.

According to the China Daily, based on current data from the Shaanxi Border Control Agency, Xi'an is becoming the entry point for most foreigners traveling to China. As of October 29 of this year, the number of border crossings through Xi'an in both directions exceeded 1.7 million, a 53 percent increase year-on-year.

Visa-free travel has become a key driver of growth in the number of foreign tourists to China. This year, the number of foreigners arriving in China through the Xi'an port of entry exceeded 200,000, of whom 150,000 entered the country visa-free, accounting for 75 percent of the total. This equates to seven out of every ten foreigners entering Xi'an using the visa-free travel system.

According to a representative of the Shaanxi Border Control Service, citizens of countries such as the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Russia topped the list of arrivals in China through the Xi'an airport checkpoint. And as the implementation of the China-Central Asia Summit continues, the number of tourists from Central Asia also continues to grow significantly compared to previous years. -0-

Rosneft's Tyumen Institute celebrates its 25th anniversary

The Tyumen Corporate Institute of Rosneft celebrates its 25th anniversary.

This institute is the largest regional research center, providing scientific support for the Company's oil and gas production. Its specialists have discovered and registered 68 hydrocarbon fields and over 800 deposits in the Nenets, Yamalo-Nenets, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs, Tyumen Oblast, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Krasnoyarsk Krai, and Orenburg Oblast, as well as on the Kara Sea shelf.

With the scientific support of the Tyumen Institute, unique well projects with complex designs have been implemented at the Company's assets, including: a horizontal well on land with a 5,200-meter offset at the Radonezhskoye field, a multi-lateral well of the "Birch Leaf" design with 14 sidetracks at the Srednebotuobinskoye field, and a well with 13 sidetracks at the Russkoye field.

The institute's Core Research Center annually studies approximately 10 km of core, 400,000 rock samples, and 4,000 fluid samples from fields stretching from Sakhalin to the Volga region. The laboratory complex utilizes the RN-Lab information system, a proprietary software development that integrates laboratory research processes, from planning, logistics, and procurement to the storage and analysis of core and fluid study results. The system's functionality leverages advanced DataScience methods and artificial intelligence technologies.

The institute's specialists, together with Innopraktika, developed the corporate software package "RN-Digital Core" for studying rock properties through mathematical modeling. The software's functionality is unique worldwide, and its updated version allows for simultaneous modeling of the combined flow of oil, gas, and water in a digital sample model and direct calculation of one of the most important rock properties—the permeability of a three-phase system. Such a result is virtually impossible to achieve through physical core experiments.

The results of scientific research are used in modeling for geological exploration and risk mitigation during drilling planning. For the first time in Russia, a 4D geomechanical model of the gas reservoirs of the Berezovskaya, Kuznetsovskaya, and Pokurskaya formations has been constructed, taking into account the geomechanical properties of the rocks.

The institute's 1,800 highly qualified staff includes 80 doctors and candidates of science. The institute's total portfolio of registered patents exceeds 300 developments and software certifications. Each year, the institute publishes over 100 scientific articles in industry journals and organizes conferences and forums on the oil and gas industry.

The institute's human resources policy prioritizes training new generations of oil workers. More than 100 young specialists are actively involved in innovation, research, and project activities.

To build a talent pool, the institute has established two core departments at leading regional universities: Tyumen Industrial University and Tyumen State University. Practicing engineers share knowledge and experience in geomechanical modeling, data science, machine learning, and digital transformation of the oil and gas industry with students. Training is provided using specialized software, for which the institute has provided academic licenses to the universities free of charge.

The annual history competition "Ignite Knowledge" has concluded at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, becoming one of the highlights of the freshman orientation program. The project helps students learn about the university's history through engaging activities, game elements, and digital technologies—one of their first experiences with the Polytechnic's long-standing traditions and corporate culture.

This year, the competition was held in an updated format, using a mobile app, which made participation more interactive and engaging. Thanks to the project's victory in the Rosmolodezh grant competition, the SPbPU History Museum team was able to integrate modern technologies into the educational and outreach process.

2025 was a landmark year for the competition. For the first time in three years, 924 applications were submitted—a record for the project's history. Over the course of a week, first-year students completed tasks related to key historical events, famous alumni, and Polytechnic University traditions, and also learned about the activities of student societies and associations.

Tatyana Novitskaya, Deputy Director of the SPbPU History Museum, noted: "The 'Light Up Knowledge' competition is not an exam or a knowledge test, but an opportunity for first-year students to experience the spirit of the university. Through play and research, students discover the traditions of the Polytechnic University and begin to feel part of its great history. We see how this format engages, inspires, and helps foster a sense of belonging to the university community."

In 2025, special attention was paid to the development of student self-government and student associations. The competition assignments focused on the history of the SPbPU Trade Union, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, as well as the Adapters public institute, the Polytechnic University student groups, and other active communities.

Participants researched archival materials, completed assignments in historical locations on campus, created photo reports, participated in themed quests, and shared their experiences on social media. This approach brought students together and made the process of learning history truly vibrant and contemporary.

The competition concluded with a gala meeting in the Polytechnic Tower, where the results were announced. The 200 most active participants received commemorative gifts. The project combines tradition and technology, preserving historical memory while simultaneously developing new approaches to educational outreach to students.
