Johannesburg, November 13 (Xinhua) — Seeking opportunities amid crises, the international community is taking steps to promote global governance and expand global leadership capacity, according to a report released Thursday by the Xinhua Think Tank.

Minsk, November 13 (Xinhua) — Foreign investors poured $5.5 billion into the Belarusian economy from January to September 2025, according to data released by the Belarusian National Statistical Committee (Belstat) on Thursday.

Before the official part of the event, members of the VSKS MO performed a demonstration at the training ground, demonstrating their skills in extinguishing a fire, rescuing victims from under rubble and from heights, dismantling obstacles, and providing first aid.

According to the report, titled "Collaborating to Create a New Global Leadership: Collective Action to Transition to a Fairer and Smarter System of Global Governance," the stability of the international order depends on the institutional authority and moral legitimacy of leading powers. It notes that one of the fundamental principles of the contemporary international order is that major countries should play a leading role.

To achieve this goal, the authors emphasize, large countries should possess the “virtue of compromise” and the “spirit of generosity” and, as British political scientist Hedley Bull put it, “meet demands for certain just changes in the world.”
