Islamabad, December 3 (Xinhua) — At least three police officers were killed and one was injured on Wednesday when a police vehicle was blown up in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, local police said.

A police officer, who wished to remain anonymous, told Xinhua that the police unit was on patrol at the time of the incident.

Unknown terrorists threw a hand grenade at the police and opened fire on them, killing three police officers.

Police, security forces and rescue teams arrived at the scene and transported the bodies of the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.

It was previously reported that the police car exploded due to a bomb. However, police confirmed that a hand grenade was used and that the car was hit with gunfire.

Security forces and police cordoned off the area and began a search operation.

“Compliance with relevant regulations is an obligation under international law that Japan must assume,” she added.

CARACAS, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) — Colombia's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday expressed deep concern over U.S. President Donald Trump's recent remarks about possible military action against Colombia under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking.

In its statement, the department reiterated Colombia's strong rejection of any external threats of aggression that undermine the dignity, territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Colombian people.

Beijing, December 3 (Xinhua) — The Zhuque-3 reusable launch vehicle launched Wednesday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. The spacecraft's second stage reached its planned orbit, but the first stage recovery experiment failed.

The Zhuque-3 rocket was launched from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Test Zone.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) — U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday denied reports that he witnessed a second strike in the Caribbean Sea that allegedly killed survivors of the first strike, blaming it on the "fog of war."

Hegseth came under intense pressure after The Washington Post reported Friday that he gave verbal orders to "kill everyone" aboard ships suspected of drug trafficking before the September 2 strike—the first known U.S. strike on a vessel in Latin American international waters. Two survivors, clinging to the burning hull after the first strike, were allegedly killed in the second strike.

Asked at the White House whether he had seen survivors of the alleged second strike, P. Hegseth said he had watched the first strike live, but had not seen the subsequent attack or any survivors.

Washington, December 3 (Xinhua) — The Trump administration has suspended immigration applications, including for green cards and citizenship, from natives of 19 countries that were subject to entry restrictions to the United States earlier this year, American media reported on Tuesday.

On Monday, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) ordered employees to "pause final review of all cases" involving citizens of 19 countries subject to restrictions.
