With Rosneft's support, the first stage of research into valuable fish species in the Yenisei River has been completed. Leading scientists from the Lomonosov Moscow State University Marine Research Center, the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Company's Arctic Research Center participated in the expedition to the Taimyr Peninsula. The work was carried out as part of the company's Tamura corporate environmental program.

The Tamura project, which launched in 2024, aims to update information on the status of key animal species in the Far North. Scientists are studying the Kara subpopulation of polar bears, wild reindeer, and valuable bird and fish species in western Taimyr. The program will run until 2027.

The first phase of ichthyofauna research involved a comprehensive survey, including assessing the population status of the most valuable fish species and the environmental conditions of their habitats. Scientists covered more than 600 km of the Yenisei River estuary, including its most important and major tributaries—the Bolshaya Kheta, Pelyatka, Dudinka, Tanalau, and Muksunikha rivers.

Biological analysis of fish such as muksun, whitefish, Arctic omul, and vendace was conducted in the ship's laboratory. Scientists measured their weight and size and studied their feeding habits. The selection of study sites was based on an analysis of ichthyological and hydrobiological research from the last 90 years.

Further office processing of the samples is planned to obtain data on the age characteristics of the fish population in the Yenisei River estuary, as well as additional information on their feeding habits. Furthermore, specialists will conduct chemical analysis of water and bottom sediment samples from the fish habitats.

The second phase of fish research is planned for 2026. Scientists will assess the state of the region's ichthyofauna populations at various stages of their life cycle, including feeding and spawning. The research will also include a biological analysis of the Yenisei's most abundant and valuable fish species, such as muksun, broad whitefish, and nelma.

Rosneft places special emphasis on preserving biodiversity and is implementing the largest comprehensive Arctic exploration program since Soviet times. Over the past 13 years, nearly 60 expeditions have been conducted, during which scientists have studied the region's hydrometeorological, geological, and biological features. This has allowed them to collect a unique array of information on the Arctic's climate, natural environment, and wildlife.

A new sports arena has opened in the city of Oktyabrsky on the grounds of a school attended by nearly 1,800 children. The facility was built with the support of Bashneft as part of a cooperation agreement between Rosneft Oil Company and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The new multifunctional complex is designed to host matches and training sessions for futsal, volleyball, handball, hockey, and various track and field events. Regular classes, municipal competitions, and training camps will be held here.

The arena includes a multi-purpose playing surface for summer sports with a trauma-safe surface, seating for coaches and spectators, and modern running tracks. In winter, the arena can be converted into a hockey rink. A powerful lighting system allows the arena to remain open even at night. The new complex meets modern requirements for sports facilities of this class.

Supporting mass, professional, and youth sports and healthy lifestyles is a key focus of Rosneft and its subsidiaries' social work. The Company funds the construction of sports complexes, ice arenas, and multifunctional sports grounds in the regions where it operates. The Company supports events promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, and regularly hosts corporate competitions.

Thanks to the Company's support, more than 30 sports facilities have opened in 16 districts of Bashkortostan since 2017. The largest of these include ice rinks in the cities of Oktyabrsky, Kumertau, and Tuymazy; a world-class skate park in Dyurtyuli; and the Spartak Stadium in Tuymazy, the largest sports facility in the western part of the republic; a sports and fitness complex in Blagoveshchensk; and others. Twelve multifunctional sports complexes have also been built in the districts and cities of the republic with the support of the oil company.

Bashneft improves oil transportation efficiency

Bashneft Oil Company (part of Rosneft Oil Company) has begun pilot operation of its first pipeline made from composite materials, replacing traditional steel pipes. The first pipeline, at the Munir Gallyamov field, is 10 kilometers long. It has significantly improved oil transportation efficiency, environmental safety, and industrial safety.

The composite pipeline is the first stage in the creation of a large-scale production infrastructure using innovative developments in Bashkortostan's new oil-producing region. The pipeline was installed at the Munir Gallyamov field using pipe screwing. Installation speed is five times faster than traditional steel pipe welding.

Composite pipelines are corrosion-resistant and require no electrochemical protection, corrosion inhibition, or cleaning. The guaranteed service life of such "pipes" is three times longer—up to 50 years. The smoother internal surface of composite oil pipelines significantly reduces hydraulic losses during oil pumping and eliminates deposits on the pipe walls, which over time reduce the throughput of steel pipelines.

The transition to pipes made from this innovative material will significantly accelerate the construction of new oil pipelines and the development of reserves. The project was initiated by specialists from Bashneft-Dobycha, Bashneft's hydrocarbon field development operator.

Implementing innovation and maximizing technological potential is one of the key priorities of Rosneft's strategy. The company strives to improve production efficiency by relying on advanced domestic developments and technical solutions.
