The Zvezda Shipyard held a ceremony to hand over the first Russian-built LNG carrier to its customer, PAO Sovcomflot. The ARC 7 icebreaking tanker, "Alexey Kosygin," is the lead vessel in the series being built by Zvezda Shipyard for the Arctic LNG 2 project. The Zvezda Shipyard is a pioneer in the construction of technologically sophisticated civilian vessels. The LNG carriers in this series boast a high ice class and are capable of operating in Arctic conditions, independently breaking through ice thicker than two meters. Each tanker holds over 172,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas and is equipped with unique rudder-propeller units, also manufactured at the Zvezda Shipyard by the Sapphire plant. The vessel is 300 meters long, 48.8 meters wide, and has a deadweight of 81,000 tons. Its propulsion system has a capacity of 60 MW.

The Alexey Kosygin was built and launched using a dry dock—a unique hydraulic structure, one of the largest in the world. Its dimensions are 485 x 114 x 14 meters. The dry dock's technical parameters, for the first time in Russia, allow for the construction of most existing and future vessel types with a displacement of up to 350,000 tons.

The tanker successfully completed sea trials. Specialists from Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex conducted gas tests on a vessel for the first time in the Far East.

Zvezda Shipyard is Russia's first large-tonnage shipyard, specializing in the production of ice-class vessels, vessels with a displacement of up to 350,000 tons, specialty vessels, and other types of marine equipment. The shipyard's order book includes approximately 60 vessels.

Rosneft, the Ministry of Tourism of the Samara Region and the Samara Tourist Information Center presented a new tourist route "Mountain weekend"The route was designed specifically for motorists and connects recreational, educational, and sports facilities in the Samara and Saratov regions.

The presentation of the new tourism project took place at the Rosneft gas station in Novokuibyshevsk, where motorists learned about the route and took part in a New Year's quiz, where Father Frost awarded useful gifts for correct answers.

"Mountain Weekend" is a family road trip itinerary for winter holidays or weekends. Drivers will visit the most popular locations in the Samara and Saratov regions. Rosneft gas stations conveniently located along the route provide everything they need for their trip and guarantee high-quality fuel.

Start your journey with a break from the city life by visiting the family-friendly aquathermal complex "Volzhskie Termy." The resort offers guests the opportunity to rejuvenate in its outdoor pools, immerse themselves in aromatherapy in its baths and saunas, or enjoy water attractions.

The next location is the children's technology park "Quantorium – Region 63." This innovative space for the intellectual development and leisure of children and adolescents was created on the premises of one of Russia's largest technology parks, "Zhigulevskaya Dolina." During classes at Quantorium, schoolchildren will discover the fascinating world of science and invention. Young guests can choose a course based on their interests: learn about aircraft and design their own, create 3D objects and explore virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality, master programming languages, design and build robots, or build spacecraft.

The resort offers slopes of varying difficulty, including a children's slope with a lift for beginners. A modern artificial snowmaking system ensures skiing conditions before heavy snowfalls begin, and powerful trail lighting makes skiing comfortable even in the evening.

"Mountain Weekend" is the fourth tourist route developed by Rosneft jointly with the Samara Region Ministry of Tourism as part of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Company and the regional government in 2024. Previously, the "Zhigulyovsk Weekend," "Trans-Volga Horizons," and "Ural Wind" routes were offered to residents and visitors of the region.

The winners of Rosneft's polar bear quiz were awarded in Moscow. The event took place near the holiday's main symbol—the Company's New Year's tree on Manezhnaya Square.

A vibrant light installation has become the central element of Rosneft Park, where a festive atmosphere is also created by a magical sleigh styled to resemble a LADA Sport ROSNEFT racing car, a fairytale arch featuring Father Frost, and a figure of the Company's symbol, a polar bear.

The quiz was broadcast over five days on the Dorognoye Radio station as part of the "Bear in Moscow" project. The hosts shared interesting facts about the Arctic and polar bears, then asked listeners questions. To win, you had to be the first to call in live and correctly answer the host's question. It could be about the habits, characteristics, or habitat of the polar predator.

The winners received commemorative gifts from Rosneft.

Polar bear conservation and protection is a key focus of Rosneft's environmental program. The Company cares for 35 polar bears in 16 zoos across the country. Rosneft provides them with comprehensive care, including feeding, veterinary care, and enclosure upgrades. Special toys have been developed to keep the animals active.

With the support of Rosneft, Tatyana Navka's ice show "Cinderella" premiered at the Megasport Sports Palace in Moscow. The performance will run until January 8, 2026.

A familiar childhood fairy tale has been reimagined in a modern, high-tech production. Spectators will enjoy professional choreography by Olympic figure skating champions, complex stunts, and acrobatic elements on the ice. Multimedia effects and unique lighting solutions complement the show. To convey the fairytale atmosphere, the artists created over 150 original costumes for the skaters.

The main roles are played by world figure skating stars, multiple Russian, European and world champions, and Olympic champions: Tatyana Navka, Victoria Sinitsina, Nikita Katsalapov, Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas.

In December 2024, with the support of Rosneft, Tatyana Navka's ice show "The Nutcracker" was successfully performed, and in October, the ice dancing production "The Love Story of Scheherazade" premiered in Ahmedabad, India. In 2023, with the participation of Rosneft, the ice show "Evenings on a Farm," based on the works of Gogol, was presented in Moscow.

With the support of Rosneft, the first two halls of the new permanent exhibition "Art of the Art Nouveau Era" have opened in the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum. They are dedicated to artists from the second half of the 1880s to the late 1890s.

The exhibition centers on the most striking pieces in the Hermitage collection—objects created by masters of leading European and Russian schools at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: from ceramics and jewelry to furniture and tapestries. The curators paid special attention to the unique nature of the artistic glass represented in the museum's collection.

The first two halls feature glass, porcelain, and majolica pieces by Émile Galle and his contemporaries. These are complemented by jewelry created in Russia, as well as in France, Belgium, Austria, and other European countries. Among the most significant exhibits are William Morris's tapestry "Adoration of the Magi," a table with an inlaid top, "Flora of Lorraine," by Émile Galle, and a desk by the Belgian painter, graphic artist, architect, and Art Nouveau theorist Henri van de Velde, acquired specifically for the General Staff building exhibition. The exhibition also marks the first public viewing of works by ceramic designer William Moorcroft.

Visitors to the exhibition will also see gifts received by Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna in 1896 during their official visit to France. Among them are two glass vases by Émile Gallé, mounted in silver by the leading Parisian jeweler Bapst & Falise, the "Nîmes Vase" created at the renowned Sèvres porcelain manufactory, and a decorative glass mask by the sculptor Henri Cros. All of these objects are considered among the finest examples of Art Nouveau art.

In a few years, the new exhibition will occupy five halls. They will open in stages and explore the creative explorations of the 19th century and the development of Art Nouveau in the early 20th century.
