From August 10 to 16, the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Youthful South" of the Rosmolodezh.Forums platform and the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Zaporizhzhya Region was held at the Mayak Creation Center in the Zaporizhzhya Region. The event became a symbol of the development of the industrial and agricultural potential of the historical regions of Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a welcoming address to the forum participants. "The current forum is aimed at discussing such important issues as the comprehensive development of Donbass and Novorossiya, the development of native cities and towns, strengthening cooperation between regions, promoting in society, especially among young people, the noble ideas of volunteerism and volunteering, the traditions of mentoring and education. The forum participants developed products in five areas of the educational program: "South. Cities", "South. Squads", "South. Professionals", "South. Technologies", "South. Yours". Young designers and architects designed the appearance of youth centers in Donbass and Novorossiya, volunteers prepared a concept for scaling the experience of volunteer youth squads, young scientists – technological solutions for the Mayak center, and creative specialists worked out the appearance of souvenir products of Donbass and Novorossiya and a guide to creating local brands taking into account the specifics of all regions of Russia. Together with experts, the participants proposed concepts for a mentoring center based at the Azov State Pedagogical University and a "roadmap" for the development of volunteer youth squads in the regions.

Young people from Donbass and Novorossiya aged 14 to 35 became participants in a one-day forum event – a special shift “South. Youth and Creation”.

"The Zaporizhia region is hosting the youth forum "Young South" for the third time. I see how our youth is open to the world, wants to learn and change historical regions for the better. The future of Donbass, Novorossiya and all of Russia is in such active guys! The forum "Young South" is an important step: personnel, scientific ideas and large projects for the development of the country are born here," said the governor of the Zaporizhia region Yevgeny Balitsky.

At a meeting with the State Secretary and Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh Denis Ashirov, current issues of youth policy and its role in shaping the future of Russia were discussed.

"We live in a difficult but important time. A time when it is especially necessary to strengthen trust, solidarity, a culture of respect and dialogue. That is why the forum "Young South" is built around creation – in ideas, actions, projects. But behind each discussion is a real task: to improve life on your land, to contribute to the common cause," said Denis Ashirov.

He noted that in 2021, there were only 26 youth ministries in the country, and now their number has increased to 88. In the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, there is a separate ministry dealing with youth policy issues, as well as 63 regional branches of all-Russian youth and public organizations.

"This is my first time at an event of this scale. My region has changed a lot in the last few years, new youth spaces are appearing, the level of educational programs is improving, and "Young South" is an example of that," said Roman Samarsky from the Donetsk People's Republic.

At the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Young South", more than 100 applications from participants for grant support in the amount of up to 1 million rubles were considered, 8 projects received financial support in the amount of 4.42 million rubles.

"At the forum "Young South" I defend the project "Heritage – School of Folk Art". It is aimed at preserving and reviving the cultural code of the Zaporizhzhya region through the involvement of young people in the living development of folk traditions, crafts and song and ritual heritage," said Olga Stratulat, a student at Melitopol State University.

In addition, forum participants took part in volunteer activities.

At the forum, the Mayak Creation Center and the Mashuk Knowledge Center signed a cooperation agreement. Thanks to the initiative, year-round youth educational centers will be able to provide comprehensive support to young people in various areas of activity, including the educational process, physical development, and the formation of moral and ethical standards of behavior. The priority task of the partnership was to improve the education system and youth policy.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov made a working trip to the Leningrad Region and visited industrial enterprises in the region.

The First Deputy Prime Minister got acquainted with the implementation of the investment project of Emperium LLC to modernize production facilities and inspected the passenger electric vessels under construction. The initial basic customer that gave us a start in life was Moscow. But the current demand from other regions and the conditions provided by the Leningrad Region for the placement of ship production in the city of Otradnoye create good prospects for further development," Denis Manturov noted.

The First Deputy Prime Minister discussed with the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko the possibilities of developing the territory by creating an industrial park specializing in shipbuilding and the production of marine equipment using federal and regional support measures. Enterprises of the industry and suppliers of components are already operating in the district. In 2026-2027, the issue of creating an industrial park will be worked out taking into account the compensation of part of the costs from the federal budget.

Measures to support industrial cluster participants and the possibilities of the industrial mortgage program were also discussed. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, in cooperation with the regional government, will provide the necessary methodological support to industrial enterprises of the Leningrad Region to participate in the program.

Denis Manturov also instructed the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the regional government, to conduct an internship under the Federal Practice program in the Leningrad Region in 2026.

Today is Archaeologist Day. During construction work, valuable artifacts from different periods are often discovered. Thus, during the reconstruction of the federal highway M-4 "Don" in the Rostov Region, archaeologists discovered unique archaeological monuments – burial mounds dating back to different periods of the Bronze Age, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported.

"Research of territories and search of historically important artifacts is a mandatory part of preparation for construction and reconstruction of highways. Before all reconstruction works on the M-4 "Don" highway began, archaeological exploration was conducted from the 933rd to the 1024th km, during which several burial mounds were discovered. Excavations are currently underway on four of them, the largest of which is more than 60 m in diameter. The first results are already impressive: scientists have found burials from all three periods of the Bronze Age, which is about 5 thousand years ago. After examining the remaining burial mounds, of which there are more than 10, all the burials found will be taken away for further scientific processing, and then transferred to the state museum," said Marat Khusnullin.

According to Vyacheslav Petushenko, head of the state company Avtodor, which is carrying out the construction, pit, catacomb and log burials have been discovered on the sites, which correspond to the Bronze Age. "Such archaeological sites provide a unique opportunity to reconstruct the rituals and ideas about the afterlife of ancient tribes. As archaeologists note, it is rare to find a burial mound with burials only from the Bronze Age, and from all its eras," Vyacheslav Petushenko emphasized.

The implementation of a large-scale project to reconstruct the M-4 Don highway from km 933 to km 1024 in the Rostov Region began in May of this year. This section runs through the Kamensky, Krasnosulinsky and Oktyabrsky districts, the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and the city of Shakhty in the Rostov Region. During the reconstruction, builders will have to widen more than 90 km of the M-4 Don road to six lanes, which will ensure comfortable and safe high-speed traffic on this section of the highway.
