KABUL, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) — Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund met in Kabul on Wednesday with member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is visiting Afghanistan.

During the meeting, M. H. Akhund noted that the Chinese government and people have always maintained a friendly and positive attitude towards Afghanistan, and thanked China for taking a fair position towards Afghanistan in the international arena.

As the Afghan Prime Minister pointed out, China is a force of justice in the world and always seeks friendly cooperation, mutual development and progress with Afghanistan and other countries. According to him, history shows that those who try to interfere in the affairs of other countries reap the bitter fruits of their deeds, while countries that pursue friendly policies achieve success, and this is precisely the unique feature of China.

M. H. Akhund noted that Afghanistan, like China, firmly adheres to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and is committed to peaceful coexistence and cooperation with all countries. Over the past two decades, Afghanistan has experienced many wars and unrest, while some Western countries continue to maliciously denigrate it, the Prime Minister stated.

The Afghan government will make every effort to resolve problems, promote development and improve the well-being of its people, M. H. Akhund assured, emphasizing that it does not want and will not create trouble for other countries.

The head of the Afghan government said that Afghanistan expects to strengthen cooperation with China and promote positive and sustainable friendly relations, will never allow any force to use its territory to threaten China, and will always stand shoulder to shoulder with China.

Wang Yi, for his part, noted that China and Afghanistan have maintained friendly ties for thousands of years. He said that China has consistently adhered to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and respects the choice of the Afghan people, their unique cultural traditions and the model of state governance established based on national conditions. China supports Afghanistan in upholding its independence and self-reliance, achieving development and growth, the diplomat added.

Wang Yi recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward a proposal to build a community of shared destiny with neighboring countries, jointly create a peaceful, safe and calm, prosperous, beautiful and friendly home, and jointly promote modernization. Afghanistan is indispensable in this process and should be one of its important participants, the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Throughout history, the Chinese Foreign Minister continued, imperialists, colonialists and hegemonists have tried to invade Afghanistan, but they have all failed, and such plans will not succeed in the future either.

China firmly advocates equality among countries, regardless of whether they are big or small, and opposes the strong oppressing the weak or the big oppressing the small. All countries should treat each other equally and cooperate for mutual benefit, Wang Yi stressed.

The head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry pointed out that the world should not develop along the path in which the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. Every country, including Afghanistan, has the right to development and growth, he noted.

Wang Yi noted that after the change of power in Afghanistan, the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry has already visited the country twice, which reflects China's sincere desire to develop ties with Afghanistan and strengthen traditional friendship.

As Afghanistan's neighbor, China will continue to uphold justice, oppose unilateral bullying and establish cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields, Wang said, adding that strengthening security cooperation will provide necessary guarantees for economic cooperation.

Recalling that the East Turkestan Islamic Movement is a terrorist group included in the relevant list of the UN Security Council, the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed hope that Afghanistan will take China's concerns seriously and step up efforts to combat terrorist forces.

Wang Yi expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Afghan government, the country will achieve greater development and bring more benefits to its people.

During his visit, Wang Yi also held talks with the Afghan Foreign Minister and met with the country's Interior Minister. –0–

Almaty, August 20 /Xinhua/ — The information being spread about the alleged ban on the use of foreign messengers /WhatsApp, Telegram, etc./ is not true. This was reported on Wednesday on the website of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The agency emphasized that the initiative to introduce the domestic messenger Aitu concerns exclusively official communications in central and local government agencies. It is necessary so that civil servants can safely exchange information intended exclusively for official use, which will increase the level of information security and make the transition to a secure digital environment.

According to the Ministry of Digital Development, Aitu will become the main tool for correspondence on official matters, work chats, operational notifications and interaction with state digital platforms. Its advantage is that all servers are located on the territory of Kazakhstan, which meets data protection requirements and makes the system more reliable for government agencies.

“Aitu does not replace or ‘interfere’ with foreign messengers in the personal lives of citizens, but only provides a secure channel for work processes in the public sector,” the agency added. –0–
