Tashkent, September 23 (Xinhua) — Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover increased by 19.8 percent in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, local media reported on Tuesday, citing the National Statistics Committee.

Amid China's trial visa-free regime for Russian citizens with ordinary passports, the total number of flight bookings from Russia to China during the eight-day holiday exceeded 28,000, with the average daily number of flight bookings on this route increasing by approximately 33 percent compared to the same period last year, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

According to the publication, citing data from Umetrip, the official mobile platform for real-time flight information, as of September 17, the number of domestic flight bookings in China for the upcoming holidays exceeded 5.93 million.
