BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) — The China National Space Administration (CNSA) on Wednesday released a stunning image of the Tianwen-2 probe with Earth, taken during the orbital phase of the spacecraft's flight.

A newly released image taken by the camera mounted on the probe's robotic arm clearly shows China's five-star red flag and the white return capsule against the distant blue backdrop of Earth.

The Tianwen-2 probe is currently approximately 43 million km from Earth and 45 million km from asteroid 2016HO3, the CNSA reported.

The probe successfully completed a series of in-orbit tests, including the installation of sample collection devices and a self-check of its electronic equipment.
