Tehran, March 22 (Xinhua) — Vessels, except for "hostile" ones, are allowed to transit the Strait of Hormuz with coordinated security and safety measures, Iran's representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Ali Mousavi, said in a statement published by the Mehr news agency on Sunday.

XI'AN, March 22 (Xinhua) — A three-day Silk Road Cultural Fair kicked off Friday in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, celebrating not only cultural exchanges but also welcoming the arrival of spring with the participation of international students and local residents.

This year, March 20th marks the Chunfen, or spring equinox (the fourth of the 24 seasons of the Chinese agricultural calendar). This date also marks the celebration of Nowruz, one of the most important traditional holidays in Central Asian countries, symbolizing the arrival of spring, the rebirth of nature, and the beginning of a new year.

As Cheng Jianshe, a representative of the event organizer, noted, Xi'an, as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road and an important hub for the Belt and Road Initiative, is a vanguard for cultural exchanges between China and Central Asian countries. The goal of this event is to promote exchanges between different cultures.

The fair is divided into four main zones: a display of cultural goods from the Silk Road, a display of goods from Central Asia, a tasting of international delicacies, and an interactive experience in folk customs.

TEHRAN, March 22 (Xinhua) — An Iranian international relations expert said on Saturday that Iran attacked a nuclear facility in the southern Israeli town of Dimona earlier in the day in retaliation for Israel's strike on Iran's Natanz nuclear facility.

Morteza Simiari made the statement live on state-run IRIB television, commenting on Iran's retaliatory missile strike on an Israeli city.

RIYADH, March 22 (Xinhua) — Saudi Arabia has declared the military attaché and four other employees of the Iranian Embassy personae non gratae and asked them to leave the country within 24 hours, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
