YINCHUAN, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR) will further strengthen cooperation with Central Asian countries in preventing and combating desertification, Feng Zhanwen, director of the China-Central Asia Cooperation Center to Combat Desertification, said Thursday at the China-Uzbekistan Conference on the Exchange of Experiences in Combating Desertification.

BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — China will push forward with the expansion of service sector opening-up in nine more cities on a pilot basis, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement Friday.

Nine cities – Dalian, Ningbo, Xiamen, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Hefei, Fuzhou, Xi'an and Suzhou – will be tasked with implementing 159 pilot measures targeting key service sector sectors such as telecommunications, healthcare and financial services, the department said.
