TEHRAN, March 28 (Xinhua) — Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday that its air defenses struck a U.S. F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet and an MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle in southern Iran.

NEW YORK, March 28 (Xinhua) — The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Saturday that a task force of 3,500 U.S. Marines and Navy personnel arrived in the Middle East on March 27.

Moscow, March 28 /Xinhua/ — Specialists from Moscow Polytechnic University, together with the Ilychev Pacific Oceanological Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, have created a robotic system for marine research using towed surveys. According to the report, the underwater robot, dubbed "Smart Fish," has been tested and is being used in scientific expeditions in the Far East and the Arctic.
