BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) — Chinese Party and state leaders Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang and Li Xi on Friday attended deliberations at the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and group discussions at the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Joining NPC deputies from Henan Province for a panel discussion this afternoon, Premier Li Qiang called on the province to take proactive steps in the new year to play a greater role in driving development in the central region and the entire country.
The Chinese prime minister also called on the province to create new calling cards in the fields of culture and tourism to promote the comprehensive development of these areas.
On Friday morning, the Prime Minister attended a joint group meeting of CPPCC members representing the economic and agricultural sectors. He emphasized the need to consistently pursue a more proactive fiscal policy and maintain a moderately accommodative monetary policy.
Li Qiang also stressed the importance of promoting the construction of large infrastructure networks and expanding effective investment to lay a solid foundation for long-term development.
At a joint group meeting with CPPCC members from the Association for Democratic National Construction and the All-China Association of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Zhao Leji called on them to actively fulfill their functions and duties, strive for new achievements, and contribute to opening up new prospects for advancing Chinese-style modernization.
Zhao Leji also called on CPPCC members to guide people in relevant sectors to contribute to ensuring a successful start of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
At a joint group meeting of CPPCC members representing sectors such as literature, arts and sports, CPPCC National Committee Chairman Wang Huning stressed the importance of implementing the national strategy for promoting fitness for all and continuously improving public health.
Wang Huning asked CPPCC members to put forward ideas and suggestions on promoting the prosperity of socialist culture and advancing the coordinated development of mass sports and competitive sports.
Cai Qi, a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, participated in a joint panel discussion of CPPCC National Committee members from the China Democratic League, the Communist Youth League of China, the All-China Youth Federation, and the All-China Women's Federation.

The Chinese vice premier called for inspiring more residents of Hong Kong and Macao to be patriots of their country and their homelands, and for promoting the integration of both SARs into the overall development of the country.
Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Li Xi, for his part, joined the deliberations of the CPC National Committee members and called on them to firmly establish and implement the correct view of political achievements, consciously achieving real and tangible results for the people through thorough work.
Li Si stressed the need to remain steadfast in our tough stance against corruption to ensure reliable guarantees for achieving the goals and tasks of the 15th Five-Year Plan through further achievements in improving party style, strengthening party discipline, and combating corruption.
