According to the Qingdao Daily newspaper, the “warehouse-transportation-trade” format in the context of international China-Europe rail freight transportation implies the close integration of three links – warehousing, transportation and trade – into a single, highly efficient and coordinated trade and logistics ecosystem within the framework of the operation of the aforementioned trains. BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) — Two tourist charters from Khabarovsk and Vladivostok landed safely in Yantai City, east China's Shandong Province, on July 12.

According to the Yantai City Culture and Tourism Administration, after the planes landed at Penglai International Airport, a welcoming ceremony was held for the Russian tourists who had planned to spend their summer vacation in the Chinese city.

The new Vladivostok-Yantai charter route is the second direct tourist airline with Russia opened by the city after the launch of the Khabarovsk-Yantai flight in 2024.

It is reported that 20 inbound tourism charter flights are planned between Khabarovsk/Vladivostok and Yantai from July 12 to September 13, 2025, which will not only provide Russian tourists with more convenient transportation options, but also give new impetus to the Yantai inbound tourism market, deepening cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia.

JAKARTA, July 15 (Xinhua) — A rescue team in Indonesia's Mentawai Islands said on Tuesday that 17 people were found alive after a speedboat capsized in the Sipora Strait in West Sumatra province on Monday.

According to preliminary reports, the speedboat, which was carrying 18 passengers, including several children, departed from Sikakap Island at around 08:00 local time and capsized around 11:00 while en route to Sipora Island in difficult weather conditions.

Eleven people were initially reported missing after the crash. As of Tuesday morning, 10 of them had been found safe.

Rudy Ihu, head of the Mentawai Islands Search and Rescue Agency, told Xinhua that most of the survivors managed to swim to the shores of nearby islands.

"Currents, waves and winds helped them reach the coast," he said.

He noted that, judging by preliminary data and the words of survivors, the capsizing was caused by extreme weather conditions, when large waves hit the boat.

BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) — The China-Russia Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair was held in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, from July 12 to 14, showcasing the rich folk arts of the two countries, according to the city's Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.

On the Chinese side, the event was attended by heirs of 11 intangible cultural heritage sites of various levels, while the fair brought together 24 artists engaged in decorative and applied arts from 12 regions of the Russian Federation, including Moscow, Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Oblast, the Republic of Buryatia and Amur Oblast.

BISHKEK, July 15 (Xinhua) — Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) in January-June 2025, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to about 711.2 billion soms (more than 8.1 billion US dollars), and increased by 11.7 percent compared to the same period in 2024, the country's National Statistical Committee reported on Tuesday.

BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) — Robots independently delivered goods on the subway in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen on Monday, according to a report on the portal of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government on Tuesday.

According to the report, several robots successfully carried out unmanned off-peak deliveries on the subway on Monday. The delivery was made possible by an artificial intelligence-based dispatching algorithm.

Moreover, the report notes, these robots are designed to deliver goods to 7-Eleven convenience stores at metro stations.

JERUSALEM, July 15 (Xinhua) — Israel said Tuesday it intercepted a drone launched by Houthi forces in Yemen toward the Red Sea city of Eilat.

"The Israeli Air Force intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle that was launched from Yemen," the Israeli army said in a statement.

KABUL, July 15 (Xinhua) — Unidentified gunmen shot dead five civilians, all members of one family, in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province, provincial governor's spokesman Ezatullah Saeedi confirmed on Monday evening.

According to him, the tragic incident took place in Tolakhail area of Kara Bagh district when armed assailants entered a residential house and opened fire. Five members of a family were killed on the spot and another was injured.

Several suspects have been arrested in connection with the case and are currently under investigation, Saidi added.

JAKARTA, July 15 (Xinhua) — Seven people were killed after a pickup truck carrying 20 people fell into a ravine in a hilly area in Indonesia's South Sulawesi province on Saturday, local media reported Tuesday.

The truck was carrying people who were attending a funeral ceremony nearby when it reportedly overturned on a sharp turn in Lembang Sereale area of Tikal County, North Toraja province.

Local traffic police are investigating the incident, suspecting that driver fatigue was the cause of the accident.
