"Noise barriers are an essential element of modern urban infrastructure today. They help minimize traffic noise near public transportation stops, parks, and densely populated areas. This year, over four thousand square meters of these structures have been replaced," said Pyotr Biryukov.

In particular, noise barriers were updated on sections of the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), the Moscow High-Speed Diameter, the Third Transport Ring, Varshavskoe, Leningradskoe, Mozhaisk Highways, and a number of other highways.

When replacing noise barriers, consider the city's unified style. Only gray panels of a standard size are used, simplifying repairs and reducing maintenance costs. The height of the barrier depends on the noise level. When choosing the height, factors such as distance to residential buildings, terrain, and traffic congestion are taken into account. For example, the height of structures along the Moscow Ring Road is approximately eight meters.

Road services constantly monitor the condition of noise barriers. They are regularly cleaned and promptly repaired if damaged.

BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — Harbin, the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, held a promotional presentation of its winter tourism resources for Russian tour operators in the border city of Suifenhe on Dec. 22, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Suifenhe city government on Wednesday.

The event, organized by the Harbin Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, was attended by over 80 employees of cultural and tourism departments in Harbin and the Primorsky Krai region of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of relevant enterprises.

The promotional presentation program included literary and artistic performances, the promotion of attractions, a lottery, and the signing of cooperation agreements between travel agencies from China and Russia.

The event helped Russian tour operators and other participants gain a deeper understanding of the snow, ice, cultural, and tourism resources of Harbin and the entire Heilongjiang Province, and also gave new impetus to Chinese-Russian cooperation in snow and ice tourism.

Speaking at the promotional presentation, Vice Mayor of Suifenhe Huang Xuzhong expressed hope that this event will contribute to strengthening pragmatic cooperation between Suifenhe and Harbin in cultural, tourism, trade, economic, and other areas, as well as the qualitative development of inbound tourism, so that overseas tourists can enjoy the best travel experience.

According to a responsible official of the Harbin City Administration of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, Harbin and Suifenhe have jointly developed a unique route, leveraging their respective advantages. This route allows Russian tourists to not only enjoy the unique scenery of the border city of Suifenhe, but also attend winter-themed events held in Harbin and experience Harbin's profound cultural and humanitarian appeal.

He expressed hope that, against the backdrop of the mutual introduction of a visa-free regime between China and Russia, all parties concerned will deepen cooperation and pool resources to develop more attractive and competitive cross-border tourism routes and promote the sustainable development of Chinese-Russian cross-border tourism. -0-
