BEIJING, July 11 (Xinhua) — A closing ceremony for a summer camp for students from St. Petersburg was held at Shandong Normal University (SNU) in eastern China's Shandong Province on Thursday. CAIRO, July 11 (Xinhua) — A new fire broke out at a telecommunications company building in the Ramses district of central Cairo on Thursday evening, just days after a previous one killed four people and injured 27, Egyptian media reported.

According to the state-run Al-Ahram news website, another fire broke out suddenly but was quickly brought under control by Cairo's civil defence forces.

Authorities said the incident was related to the aftermath of a fire that broke out on Monday and raged for several hours before being extinguished, the statement said.

A deadly fire on Monday caused widespread disruption to telephone and internet services.

Tbilisi, July 10 (Xinhua) — Authorities in Georgia's capital Tbilisi have announced the start of a large-scale modernization of the city's subway system using cars manufactured by China's CRRC Corporation, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said at a city government meeting on Thursday.

As the mayor noted, the winner of the completed tender was GT Group LLC, which, in cooperation with a Chinese manufacturer, will supply 111 modern metro cars to Georgia.

The purchase is being carried out with financial support from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. Over the next five years, Tbilisi will receive 14 four-car and 5 five-car trains. Known as "China's Hornbill Valley", the Tongbiguan Provincial Nature Reserve in Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province is one of the most densely populated hornbill habitats in China.
