Dear friends!

I sincerely wish you a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! This is a wonderful time to look back and remember your victories and achievements of the past year, and to start setting goals for the year ahead.

The year 2025 ended with a significant event for our university: we celebrated the 170th anniversary of the birth of Prince Andrei Gagarin, the first director of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute. To mark the occasion, we opened a new museum exhibition dedicated to Andrei Grigorievich, an exhibition of paintings by his great-granddaughter Elena Artsutanova, and held several other large-scale events.

Throughout the year, our talented undergraduate and graduate students won presidential grants and scholarships, and won regional, federal, and international competitions, Olympiads, and sporting events, furthering the Polytechnic's reputation. In December, the "Omnivorous" team achieved a long-awaited victory in the international robot combat championship, and Kirill Prigoda once again confirmed his status as one of the best athletes in the country and the world.

Our young scientists and faculty have won numerous intellectual and creative competitions. We welcomed distinguished guests to the Polytechnic University and honored our university's new honorary doctors. In 2025, these honoraries included: Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation; Vitaly Savelyev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Oleg Savelyev, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia; Mohamed Ali Berawi, Professor at the University of Indonesia; Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum; Sergey Brilyov, Russian journalist and television host, President of the Global Energy Association; Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan; Valery Kozlov, distinguished Russian scientist and academician; and Georgy Fokin, CEO of Gazprom Transgaz Saint Petersburg.

Furthermore, Polytechnic University has acquired new reliable partners. We have signed numerous cooperation agreements with industrial companies and other educational institutions in St. Petersburg, Russia, and around the world.

SPbPU became the coordinator of the "Slavic Universities" project and actively collaborated with universities in neighboring countries throughout the year. The universities exchanged experiences and jointly participated in specialized conferences and forums.

In addition, in 2025, Polytechnic University participated in such major events as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the Russian Industrialist forum and exhibition, the Innoprom international industrial exhibition, and many others.

In 2026, we won't slow down! We will confidently move toward our goals, conquer professional heights, and discover uncharted areas. Let every day be a step toward great discoveries, and our ideas the foundation for future breakthroughs.

I hope the coming year brings a bright light of joy, the warmth of happy moments, and an inexhaustible source of inspiration into your life. I wish you to celebrate it surrounded by your dearest ones—family, loyal friends, and like-minded people who will always support you and share in the joy of your victories.

I sincerely wish you a Happy New Year and a bright Christmas! May these days be the beginning of a wonderful journey filled with exciting events, positive changes, and unforgettable impressions.

The awards ceremony for the winners of the all-Russian program "Russian Scholarship Holder: A Course for the Future" was held in the Northwestern Federal District. Among the 690 laureates from 51 universities were students from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, who demonstrated outstanding academic achievements. Thirty-one SPbPU students were awarded prestigious state scholarships, one of the most significant achievements among technical universities in the district.

Natalia Pyatinda, Head of the Department for the Implementation of Public Projects at the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District, opened the ceremony. She emphasized: "A scholarship of such a high level motivates us to continue our research. It encourages us to believe in ourselves and to keep going. The 690 scholarship recipients from 51 universities in the Northwestern Federal District are a significant indicator of your intelligence, hard work, and determination."

The speech by Andrei Maksimov, Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher Education of St. Petersburg, added a special symbolism to the moment. Congratulating the scholarship recipients on behalf of the Governor, he recalled their great origins: "You have gathered today in St. Petersburg, the cradle of Russian science and professional education. It was here, by decree of Peter the Great on February 8, 1724, that the Academy of Sciences, the university, and the academic gymnasium were founded. This is the beginning of the history of Russian science and professional education. You are the continuers of the great traditions established by Peter the Great, Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleyev, and Zhores Ivanovich Alferov. For the students of the university named after the founder of Russian engineering education, these words sound like a direct parting word and a high assessment of their mission."

The success of SPbPU students confirms their high-quality preparation and active research. Based on the results of the competition, effective September 1, 2025, the university awarded scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation to seven students (in the "Mathematical and Natural Sciences" and "Engineering, Technology, and Technical Sciences" competition groups). Twenty-four students received scholarships from the Government of the Russian Federation (in the "Mathematical and Natural Sciences," "Engineering, Technology, and Technical Sciences," and "Social Sciences" competition groups).

"The 31 Presidential and Government scholarships awarded to our students are more than just a number; they are the most impressive award and the best confirmation of SPbPU's exceptional quality. This is a shared victory: the impeccable professionalism of our faculty and the remarkable talent and perseverance of our students. We are especially proud that the majority of awards were won in engineering and technical fields. This speaks volumes about the strength of our Polytechnic School and its key role in Russia's technological breakthrough. "This means we don't just teach—we train engineers who are already building the future of our country," emphasized SPbPU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Lyudmila Pankova.

Tatyana Sheptunova accompanied the scholarship recipients at the ceremony: The scholarship is not only significant financial support, but also an honorary sign of recognition at the federal level.

Financial support is intended to stimulate new discoveries in priority areas: IT, biotechnology, energy, and medicine.

Gazprom-Media Holding is summing up the results of its comprehensive corporate social responsibility program, "PRO," for 2025. The program, based on sustainable development principles, has demonstrated significant results and enabled the Holding to improve its position in social responsibility rankings.

Based on the 2025 results, Gazprom-Media Holding was ranked among Russian business leaders in social responsibility in Category A (Best Practice) in the national study "Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy." This reflects the systematic approach and effectiveness of our social programs and confirms the Gazprom-Media Holding team's contribution to achieving national goals and implementing national project objectives.

In 2025, Gazprom-Media Holding continued the consistent implementation of its PRO corporate responsibility program. Built around five key areas—PRO Assistance, PRO Participation, PRO Creation, PRO Support, and PRO Care—the program focuses on maximizing the Holding's media resources to address critical social issues. Priorities include the production of socially significant content, information support for NGOs and charitable foundations, targeted assistance to SVO participants and their families, and care for the elderly. Work in each area was conducted systematically, with the involvement of the expert community and partners, significantly enhancing the practical benefits of these initiatives.

In 2025, as part of the "PRO_Care" program, special film screenings were organized to support SVO participants. These screenings were attended by over 10,000 people, including SVO participants, their families and children, representatives of law enforcement agencies, the Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital, and representatives of the Yunarmiya movement. The Holding introduced over 3,000 children of SVO participants, as well as young people from the All-Russian Yunarmiya movement, to the media industry and organized tours of the Holding's companies. Volunteers from the Holding helped over 50 elderly people by participating in a charity delivery of hot meals in collaboration with the "Dari Edu" foundation.

The Oktyabr Cinema hosted the premiere of the feature documentary "In the Name of Peace on Earth" by director Mikhail Matrosov, as well as special screenings of "Catherine the Great," "Not on the Lists," and the war drama "August." Gathered in the cinema's main auditorium were members of the Special Military Forces, representatives of law enforcement agencies, doctors from military hospitals, members of the Young Army, students from military academies, conscripts, and schoolchildren.

Gazprom-Media Holding places special emphasis on supporting military personnel and their families, as well as the younger generation, leveraging its extensive media reach and implementing projects of significant social significance. The holding and its companies regularly host patriotic events as part of the PRO_Care project, including charity events, special film screenings, and meetings between young people, SVO members, and volunteers.

Gazprom-Media Holding congratulated veterans and participants of the Soviet Military District on the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Congratulations to veterans of the Great Patriotic War were held jointly with the Center for Patriotic Education and the Moscow Young Army members as part of the "Parade at the Veteran's Home" ceremony, held at the residences of Great Patriotic War veterans. Representatives of the Holding and the Young Army members congratulated Pyotr Fyodorovich Ivankov, Igor Nikolaevich Antipenko, and Semyon Yakovlevich Lyulko.

A congratulatory ceremony for the Special Military Operations (SVO) participants took place at the Moscow Military Enlistment Office, attended by its leadership. Representatives of the Holding also congratulated the veterans of the special military operation on the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and presented them with commemorative gifts. The event was held jointly with the Leningrad Frontier Foundation and was attended by the Military Commissioner of the Leningrad Region and representatives of the regional government and Legislative Assembly. The meeting was attended by servicemen who distinguished themselves during combat missions and were awarded the highest state awards. They are currently serving at the Leningrad Region Military Enlistment Office.

Gazprom-Media Holding and the Fatherland Defenders Foundation have signed an agreement on joint work in promoting civic responsibility and patriotism. The document was signed by Gazprom-Media Holding CEO Alexander Zharov and the Foundation's Chairperson, Anna Tsivileva. The agreement provides for the parties to pool their efforts to implement educational, informational, and social projects aimed at strengthening traditional values, preserving historical memory, and fostering patriotic awareness among young people. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Gazprom-Media Holding employees supported the participants of the Air Defense Forces by participating in a blood donation drive. Eighty people participated in the drive for military personnel undergoing treatment at the A.A. Vishnevsky National Research Center for High Medical Technologies. This pilot blood donation drive marked the beginning of a series of similar events across the Holding's assets. The drive is part of the Holding's social responsibility program, "PRO_Care," which unites charitable initiatives to support the families of Air Defense Forces participants and assist the elderly. The RUTUBE team systematically supports the development of media and the blogosphere in new regions, including by providing information on moderation and promotion on the platform. For example, the RUTUBE national video hosting team in Luhansk presented the "Poetry of Victory" project, created jointly with soldiers of the 98th Guards Airborne Division, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Policy of the LPR. The poems were read by the authors—SVO members from the 98th Airborne Division, as well as war correspondents and bloggers Maryana Naumova, Marina Onishchenko, and others. "Poetry of Victory" is a series of videos in which SVO members and bloggers read poems written by service members on the front lines. The first series of videos was prepared based on a collection of poems by service members of the 98th Airborne Division.

In March, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Moscow between the Russian Military Historical Society, RUTUBE, and the Nikolai Danilevsky Film Studio. The document constitutes an agreement on informational, expert, and organizational cooperation in various fields.

The first studio in a historical setting opened in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, at the end of June. Since then, the audience for podcasts, interviews, and talk shows created by the studio's guests has exceeded 500,000. A second studio opened in Mariupol in September. It is free of charge. Here, anyone—professionals and aspiring professionals—has the opportunity to create their own content in any format, from podcasts to short shows, using modern equipment. The studio will also serve as a venue for courses and master classes on the fundamentals of journalism.

RUTUBE helps SVO participants create media projects. For example, at the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries, as part of the "

During a trip to historical regions, the national video hosting service RUTUBE held a training seminar on creating video content in combat situations. Participants included war correspondents, active-duty service members of the 98th Guards Airborne Division, and specialists responsible for covering the division's operations and military operations in the Northern Military District. The video hosting service plans to hold such seminars on a regular basis.

RUTUBE also co-organized and acted as information partner for the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Military Journalism in a Multipolar World." Held at Luhansk State Pedagogical University, it brought together over 150 participants—students and military journalists.

The PRO_Care program won the "Best Social Project in Russia" award in the "Caring. Support and Assistance" category and was also included in a collection of best practices in corporate volunteering. The initiative aims to support participants in special military operations and their families, residents of new regions of Russia, and senior citizens. The National Council for Corporate Volunteering and the Dobro.rf Ecosystem presented the collection of best practices on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The publication features case studies of companies that are developing volunteerism and setting the bar for social responsibility in business. The collection is designed to help companies build on proven practices and share experiences. The projects included in the collection were recognized as the best by the jury of the all-Russian "Champions of Good Deeds" competition and the international award.

As part of the "PRO_Support" program, experts from the Naked Heart Foundation held an educational seminar on autism for all of its sponsored charitable foundations and for Gazprom-Media Holding employees.

The Special Childhood Center for Curative Pedagogics invited representatives of the Holding and its affiliated foundations to speak and participate in its annual scientific and practical conference, "The Value of Everyone." The event also featured affiliated foundations: the Krug Creative Association, Naked Hearts, and Lifestyle, which shared their experiences supporting inclusive environments.

Gazprom-Media Holding provided information support to the 5th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, "The Value of Everyone: Overcoming Exclusion." The Naked Heart Foundation and the Special Childhood Center for Curative Pedagogics received information support through Gazprom-Media Holding's resources.

Over 200 beneficiaries of the Naked Heart Foundation and the Special Childhood Center for Curative Pedagogics were invited to the RUTUBE New Year's party, "New Year at Hogwarts," held at the Moskva Concert Hall in Dream Island Park. The RUTUBE video service, in collaboration with the Imperial Orchestra, offered a unique experience for fans of the Harry Potter universe and admirers of the music of legendary Hollywood composer John Williams, whose melodies feature in the famous film adaptations.

As part of the PRO_Assistance program, designed to promote little-known foundations in the information space, the sponsored charitable foundations demonstrated high media activity, with many mentions received as a result of publications by the Holding and its assets. By the end of the year, thanks to the PRO_Assistance program, the total amount of donations doubled, new sponsors appeared, who are also involved in the foundation's events; the number of sponsors increased by 10-20%, the foundation budget – by 20-40%, the number of volunteers – by 30-50%, the number of wards – by 10-20%, the number of freelancers – by 3-4 times; the number of charitable volunteer initiatives increased by 10-20%; there was an increase in the number of subscribers on social networks by 10-20%, an increase in the number of publications – by 10-20%. The wards of the sponsored charitable foundations were invited to special charity screenings of films, plays, and New Year's shows.

In 2025, as part of its PRO_Assistance program, Gazprom-Media Holding, for the third year in a row, co-organized the 9th inclusive multi-genre arts competition "Special Talents – 2025" and the final gala concert and awards ceremony for the competition's winners. This year, the competition received 4,167 applications from Russia and the Republic of Belarus. A separate competition, "Special Teacher – 2025," brought together 116 specialists from both countries. Eleven winners of the creative competition and 13 teachers from Irkutsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Sevastopol, Mozyr, Vasilevichi, and other cities participated in the gala concert. The competition combined vocals, choreography, instrumental performance, spoken word, acting, sign singing, original genre, as well as fine and applied arts, photography, and video art. The participants' performances were evaluated by a jury consisting of 59 artists, educators, and experts in the field of inclusive creativity.

The winners of the 9th inclusive multi-genre arts competition "Special Talents – 2025" and the "Special Teacher – 2025" took a tour of GPM KIT. A GPM KIT representative told the children about Gazprom-Media Holding and the creation of socially significant content that helps viewers formulate and develop universal human values. The children also learned about the work of camera operators and scriptwriters, learned the history of the unique design of the space, and were able to peek behind the scenes of the media industry.

The "Special Talents 2025" competition was part of the All-Russian Week "Open for All," organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation. The week, which ran from November 24 to 30, featured events in support of a society of equal opportunities. Over 100 of the foundation's beneficiaries experienced the magic of a New Year's tree at a RUTUBE Christmas tree. Beneficiaries of charitable foundations attended the "New Year at Hogwarts" program. The symphonic show combined live performances of melodies from the Harry Potter films with high-tech staging, sets, and special effects.

Within the framework of the PRO_Creation direction, more than 20 social projects have been created (the flash mob “The Country Sings Katyusha!” from Avtoradio, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War; the Insight People projects: “Mentoring”, a charity music quiz, a beauty bachelorette party for girls with alopecia, guardianship of a Malayan bear, a charity concert in support of the Vernost shelter, etc.; the launch of a social initiative by the TNT channel to support a tourist village in the Tonkinsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region; the TNT campaign “Mail of Generations”; a free tour from the TNT channel of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio – “Showing Sverdlovsk. Ural Cinema about the Great Victory”; the improvement of the observation deck on Lake Baikal by the TV-3 channel, etc.), more than 15 new seasons of social projects (“You are super!”, “You Super! 60", "Wait for Me", "DNA", "Beyond the Edge", "My Universities. The Future is in the Present", "Santa Claus's Journey", "New Year's Miracles" on TV-3; Match TV opening of a new sports ground for Vladivostok residents; the travel channel "Tochka.rf" (produced by Red Media) broadcast of professional camera traps for national parks; the "Open Meditation Relax FM" project, etc.).

This season, 50 talented children aged 7 to 18 from more than 20 regions of Russia, including the newly established Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as Abkhazia, Belarus, and Georgia, participated in the "You Are Super!" vocal competition for children without parental care. Twelve children became finalists in the ninth season. Over the past nine years, the "You Are Super!" project has become a family for over 600 children from 18 countries and all regions of Russia. Thanks to the project, eight children have found families and 16 have received apartments, more than 20 children have entered music institutes and colleges, and more than 20 singles have been released. The "You Are Super!" Charitable Foundation operates under the auspices of the project, providing scholarships to all semifinalists and finalists until they reach adulthood. "You Are Super!" — laureate and winner of various television competitions, including TEFI and TEFI Kids, the project has a total of 27 awards.

In 2025, "Santa Claus's Journey with NTV" will be held for the tenth time. As part of this charity event, the main winter wizard, together with the channel's team, will fulfill the most cherished and sincere dreams and wishes of children from orphanages, boarding schools, and other social institutions, bring joy and longed-for gifts to low-income and large families, help children in need of expensive medical care, and strive to make even seemingly impossible wishes come true. This year, the All-Russian Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug and his assistants will fulfill the most cherished dreams of children from 20 regions of Russia, including the newly established Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics. During the Journey, Father Frost from Veliky Ustyug and the NTV team traveled more than 50,000 kilometers—from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad—visiting nearly 1,000 children's social institutions and large and low-income families, and delivering more than 750 tons of gifts and sweet surprises.

The international vocal competition "You're Super!" for children without parental care and the charity event "Santa Claus's Journey with NTV" were awarded the "Best Social Projects of Russia 2025" prize in the "Support for Socially Vulnerable Populations" category. The legendary program "Wait for Me" has been broadcast on NTV since 2017. Since its inception, more than 228,000 people have been found. In 2025, between January 1 and December 10, 2,153 people were found.

The socially charged talk show "Beyond the Edge" has been airing on NTV since September 13, 2021. Over six hundred episodes have aired since then, including 147 in 2025. Each episode is more than just a number on the schedule, but a unique human destiny, a heart-wrenching story. In the "Beyond the Edge" studio, the show's protagonists share their pain, express surprise and admiration. People share the pain of loss with us and plead for help in achieving justice. The show's lawyers and psychologists always offer a helping hand to those facing lawlessness. Thousands of them also receive all the necessary medical care free of charge: they undergo examinations and expensive treatment, and the country's best surgeons have already performed 37 complex operations.

The socially charged talk show "DNA" has been airing on NTV since 2018, and in 2023 it celebrated its first anniversary—five years on air. This year, more than 150 episodes aired, and over 1,200 episodes in eight years. The program's protagonists are ordinary families for whom DNA testing is the only way to end bitter family disputes and reunite with loved ones they never knew existed. "DNA" gives children raised in orphanages or foster homes the opportunity to discover their biological parents, look them in the eye, and ask the ultimate question: "Why was I abandoned?" Mothers can establish paternity and hold those who persistently default on child support to account. And people who officially don't exist can prove they exist. Over the course of the program's existence, more than four thousand genetic tests have been conducted. Thanks to this, over a thousand families from 22 countries were finally reunited. The program's team proved that 47 families had had their children swapped and rescued five people from slavery. Anyone in difficult life situations can become a hero of the program and receive a free, expensive DNA test, performed by qualified geneticists from the most respected laboratories. The DNA test results, announced live in the studio, become the decisive argument, capable of ending family strife.

TNT organized a series of large-scale events across Russia to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. All initiatives were part of the Holding's "PRO_Creation" program, which focuses on creating socially significant projects and providing assistance to their participants. One of the most memorable events was the "Generations' Mail" campaign, held in Vladivostok with the support of the local administration. City veterans received hundreds of touching letters from young people—schoolchildren, students, and volunteers. Over the course of two weeks, young people wrote sincere words of gratitude and admiration for the heroic deeds of the Great Patriotic War heroes. The campaign culminated in warm gatherings. In Kazan, volunteers planted young apple trees in Victory Park. The new trees will serve not only as a symbol of renewal but also as a reminder of the price of Victory. Residents of Yekaterinburg were treated to a free tour of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio, entitled "Sverdlovsk Showing. Ural Cinema about the Great Victory." Participants learned about the contribution of Ural filmmakers to the creation of films about the war and post-war eras, viewed archival footage, and learned about filmmaking technologies of the past. The tour allowed guests to gain a closer understanding of the history of cinema and its important role in preserving the memory of the Great Victory.

Match TV opened a new sports facility for Vladivostok residents. The new space provides modern conditions for sports and active recreation. Similar facilities opened last year in Orel and Cheboksary, and this year, one opened in Vladivostok during the Eastern Economic Forum.

The travel channel "Tochka.rf" (produced by Red Media) is taking an important step toward preserving our country's natural environment by donating 50 professional camera traps to Land of the Leopard National Park. The donation is part of an annual environmental project implemented as part of Gazprom-Media Holding's CSR program, "PRO_Creation."

TNT and K.B.A. Studios announced the launch of a social initiative to support a tourist village in the Tonkinsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. As part of the promotional campaign for the feature film "Prostokvashino," the channel will donate a portion of its box office revenue—the first 5 million rubles—to the improvement of the themed site. The Prostokvashino village has long been a local tourist attraction and cultural focal point for the region. The investment will modernize the infrastructure, create new areas for family recreation, and prepare it for press tours, themed meetings, and special events featuring the film.

The all-Russian flash mob "The Country Sings Katyusha!" by Avtoradio, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was recognized as the best social project in the "Media Projects Supporting Social Initiatives" category. The "Relax FM Open Meditation" project won in the "Socially Responsible Media" category. The "Friday!" TV channel's "Big Girls" and "Young Knives. New Blood" projects won the "Socially Responsible Media" and "Support for Gifted Children and Youth" categories, respectively. As part of the "PRO_Participation" subprogram, in 2025, the Holding produced over 50 hours of television social content and provided informational support to more than 100 social projects and events, including the international "Garden of Memory" campaign, the international "WEARE TOGETHER" award, charity fairs, auctions, and more.

For many years, NTV's news service has devoted special attention to the topic of charity. The news program "Segodnya" regularly airs stories about people in need, accompanied by a short code or charity account. In 2025, from January 1 to December 14, NTV aired 57 charity stories, raising over 120 million rubles.

Match TV commentators met at the Dobry Dom with children with cancer undergoing treatment at specialized centers in the capital. The event was organized by Gazprom-Media Holding in partnership with Match TV. The meeting at the free social hostel was part of the Holding's corporate social responsibility program, PRO_Uchastie (Participation), which includes support for social projects and events. The children tested their knowledge of the world of sports in a quiz, and the commentators discussed the specifics of working in television. At the end of the meeting, the foundation's beneficiaries tried their hand at sports commentating.

KUKHNYA.RF (produced by Red Media) also hosted a culinary event at the Dobry Dom (Good House) charity foundation for children and their families. Chefs from KUKHNYA.RF held a master class for the residents of the Dobry Dom foundation, a free hotel for children with cancer and their families coming to Moscow for treatment. The event was part of Gazprom-Media Holding's corporate social responsibility program, PRO_Participation. The children enthusiastically prepared pasta Alfredo, chocolate fondant, and lemonade, and were particularly impressed by the nitrogen-based ice cream. The master class was a true celebration—an opportunity to feel joyful, engaged, and free.

Representatives of Gazprom-Media Holding became mentors for the first time in the "NPO.Transformation" educational program. The program is designed for non-profit organizations seeking to take social issues to the next level. Gazprom-Media Holding experts conducted a series of master classes and consultations for 47 NPOs, divided into 11 groups. The sessions helped participants gain a deeper understanding of modern communications tools and promotion technologies. They also shared their experience in developing comprehensive strategies, including building an organization's brand, establishing dialogue with target audiences, and effectively using digital platforms. Participants received specific recommendations for promoting their initiatives, enabling them to expand their reach and increase their social impact. Gazprom-Media Holding places special emphasis on supporting inclusive projects and social initiatives, implementing its own large-scale corporate social responsibility program, "PRO." For example, in August, an art school for cultural and educational projects, "That Which Influences," was held in Crimea. More than 100 media specialists, students, and social project managers from over 50 regions participated. The teams' work resulted in 18 communications projects, the 11 best of which will receive support from the Holding, the Tavrida Art Cluster, and the art school's partners.

One of the PRO program's activities is the work of the corporate volunteer center "Universe of Goodness." The center is part of the Holding's corporate social responsibility programs "PRO_Assistance," which supports sponsored foundations, and "PRO_Participation," where volunteers and their families participate in mutual aid initiatives. They assist the elderly, children with disabilities, volunteers in the secondary care system, and hospices. They also work on preserving natural ecosystems, cleaning coastal areas, recycling waste, and assisting with charity fairs. The Holding also collaborates with the National Council for Corporate Volunteering and the Mosvolonter resource center, participating in joint charity events.

In 2025, 55 volunteer events were held, increasing the number of corporate volunteers by 15%. Over the five years of the "Universe of Kindness" program, corporate volunteers participated in over 160 events, contributing 1,583 hours. Gazprom-Media Holding companies held 145 events in 2025 as part of their own educational career guidance project, PROfnavigator. These events introduced 16,920 schoolchildren and students to the media industry and its professions. The leading broadcasters in terms of the number of events were GPM KIT (67); GPM RTV (15); GPM Radio (10); YAPPY (4); and NTV (3). The KIT Territory project included 34 film screenings in more than 18 regions of Russia, as well as 10 creative meetings and lectures for 10,898 schoolchildren and students across the country.

Thus, since the project’s inception, 71,265 schoolchildren and students have taken part in 743 organised events.

Videos (lectures, excursions, interviews, and school reports) on the PROfnavigator channel on the RUTUBE platform have been viewed more than 15,000 times.

Students from Moscow colleges became new partners of the PROfnavigator project in 2025. They were given the opportunity to develop practical skills in the film and media industries at Gazprom-Media Holding facilities thanks to an agreement between Russia's leading media holding and the Moscow Center for the Development of Professional Education, which unites all of the capital's colleges. More than 10 practical activities were organized for students from Film College No. 40 of the Moscow International Film School and Entrepreneurship College No. 11, including participation in television show filming, excursions, master classes, lectures, pitching of student animation projects, and more.

Also, as part of its collaboration with secondary vocational education institutions, Gazprom-Media Holding representatives served on the jury and participated in the awards ceremony for the "Profession in the Frame" student film festival. Students from 48 educational institutions across the capital participated in the competition.

The key event was the "What Influences" art school for cultural and educational projects, held in August at the Tavrida Federal Territory in Crimea. Organized jointly with the Tavrida Art Cluster, the event brought together over 100 young professionals in media, PR, and social engineering to develop communications strategies for socially significant initiatives. The "What Influences" art school served as a practical platform for generating ideas and developing concrete solutions. Participants from over 50 Russian regions worked on real-world problems from non-profit organizations during the intensive educational program, under the guidance of Gazprom-Media Holding experts. The school's main outcome was 18 completed communications projects covering a wide range of social topics: from supporting people with disabilities and promoting reading to environmental education and career guidance for young people. The best projects, selected based on the presentations, received further support from the school's organizers and partners, including the Presidential Grants Fund, Sberbank's "Contribution to the Future" program, Netology, and Beeline. This support included expert guidance, assistance in finding funding, and media promotion. A partnership with the Insight People production center enabled mentoring from experts in the blogging industry, helping the participants find innovative approaches to promoting their ideas.

In the year of celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Artek International Children’s Center, Gazprom-Media Holding congratulated the Artek residents and provided large-scale information support. The studio is equipped with professional equipment for filming, editing and dubbing video. The space is intended for the creative development of young participants, where children can try themselves in the roles of bloggers, directors and screenwriters. Children will be able to create content about life in Artek, share their achievements and inspire peers from different countries. The opening of the studio is part of the Gazprom-Media Holding project “PROfnavigator”, which helps young people choose areas for development and develop professional skills for a successful start in the media industry. In addition, four master classes on producing, four creative meetings on a travel blog, and a special screening of the documentary film “Peter I. The Last Tsar and First Emperor” produced by the film company “1-2-3 Production” were held for Artek residents. The children witnessed the key events of the era of Peter I: from large-scale battle scenes at Narva and Noteburg to transformations in public life. Of particular interest were the expert comments that helped to understand the historical context. Before the start of the show, Artek residents received a special surprise – a video message from Daniil Muravyov, who played the role of young Peter I. The actor personally greeted the audience. Young viewers noted that the film gave them answers to many questions about the creation of the Russian fleet and the formation of the state. As the guys emphasized, the story of the great emperor inspires to overcome difficulties and persistently achieve goals.

On the eve of the New Year, students from the Faculty of Architecture of St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took part in the IX International Competition "Create an Exhibit for the Hermitage."

The competition continues the long-standing tradition of creating handmade New Year's and Christmas decorations. This year, the competition was held under the motto "Beauty in Detail" and was dedicated to the anniversaries of three St. Petersburg architects: Bartolomeo Francesco Rastrelli, Domenico Trezzini, and Carlo Ivanovich Rossi.

35 of our students designed and created amazing "architectural" Christmas tree decorations using a variety of techniques!

Anastasia Kolechkova, a third-year student in the Department of Architectural Environment Design (DAS), made it to the finals and shortlisted for the competition. In her work "Azure Lace," crafted using beadwork, Anastasia depicted the bell tower of Smolny Cathedral by F.B. Rastrelli. "The famous combination of sky-blue and snow-white is a fresh, pure, yet luxurious contrast that can be used in design, which is exactly what I did in this Christmas tree ornament," the artist explained.

At the awards ceremony held on December 22 at the General Staff Building, Anastasia was presented with a diploma and a commemorative gift for second place among students from architecture and art universities in the Odnoklassniki social network nomination.

Second-year students from the Faculty of Architecture created their toys under the guidance of Svetlana Feofanova, senior lecturer in the Department of Architectural Environmental Design, as part of an assignment in the "Volumetric and Spatial Composition" course. The resulting works were very atmospheric, and all of them decorated the State Hermitage Museum's Christmas trees.

RUDN University was the first in the country to receive accreditation for the verification of carbon reporting, climate projects, and carbon footprints, as well as the validation of climate projects across 27 economic activities. Since 2017, the university has been implementing a project to measure the environmental situation on campus and around the university, monitoring the air, soil, and vegetation year-round.

RUDN University has transitioned to energy-saving technologies. 100% of its buildings have undergone energy audits. The university has implemented measures to reduce heat and water consumption costs, resulting in a 24,000 cubic meter reduction in water consumption in 2024 compared to 2023. The university has also implemented a waste separation system and recycles approximately 3,000 tons of waste annually.

RUDN University staff and students are also making a contribution and actively participating in wastepaper collection. In 2023, over 30 tons of paper were collected, in 2024 – over 37, and in 2025 – approximately 37 tons. This translates to 17-20 saved mature trees and 20,000-50,000 liters of saved water.

In 2025, scientists from the RUDN University Institute of Ecology developed the university's first standard for determining environmental indicators for sustainable development.

Current research

Over the past year, RUDN University researchers have published over 1,930 publications on the SDGs, most of which are on medicine. Over 600 articles are devoted to SDG 3, "Good Health and Well-Being."

For example, the research of the medical institute's scientists—Doctors of Medical Sciences Timur Fatkhudinov and Andrey Elchaninov, and Candidate of Medical Sciences Andrey Makarov—covers cell biology, inflammation, regeneration, and oncogenesis, as well as the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in molecular and cellular medicine. The research team has developed a prototype biomedical cell product for immunocellular therapy, aimed at improving the effectiveness of treating socially significant diseases, including cancer. The scientists obtained results in in vitro and in vivo disease models confirming the potential of macrophages in tumor therapy: the resulting native and polarized macrophages can be used both as a therapeutic agent and as an agent for delivering antitumor drugs to the tumor site.

But it's not just research that helps RUDN University achieve SDG-3. The university runs the "Healthy Student, Healthy Employee" program, which provides employees with free health screenings from men's and women's health specialists. And starting this year, they can also take a free course of 10 consultations with a psychologist. This is how the university cares about the health of its students and staff.

Returning to research, another popular area is SDG 2 (zero hunger). RUDN University scientists published 220 publications on this topic in 2024. For example, one study by the Institute of Ecology is devoted to the development of innovative methods in plant growing based on artificial intelligence. The scientists succeeded in developing innovative models that predict plant damage by fungal diseases based on spectral reflectance data and laboratory analysis of leaves. The models are based on machine learning algorithms and can accurately determine the extent of infestation using images obtained from drones or satellites. This approach will allow agronomists to proactively identify disease outbreaks, save time and money, and apply fungicides only where truly necessary. This will reduce environmental impacts and improve production efficiency. Furthermore, the developed technologies can be integrated into smart monitoring systems that integrate satellite data, on-site sensors, and precision farming software solutions.

Quality of education

RUDN University has also made significant progress in achieving SDG 4, "Quality Education." The university offers over 800 educational programs, including those focused on SDG topics such as "Food Security," "Energy and Resource-Saving Processes in Chemical Engineering," "Expertise in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development," "Discrimination and Gender Issues in Modern International Law," and others.

Our students study 14 languages. Seventy-two programs at the university are taught in English, French, Chinese, and Spanish. Joint master's programs and other projects are being implemented with Sber, Alfa-Bank, X5, and other strategic partners. RUDN University has over 250 cooperation agreements with international universities and research centers, and 176 joint international educational programs. Academic exchanges, internships, and scientific collaborations—the university's international activities are widespread. SDG 4 is also a research focus for RUDN University researchers. Last year, over 120 scientific articles were published on this topic, and over 20 R&D projects were completed.

Digitalization also plays a significant role in ensuring the quality and accessibility of education. RUDN University has a digital preparatory faculty, thanks to which thousands of international students have learned Russian and prepared for admission to Russian universities. Furthermore, the university has its own Multifunctional Center, which provides over 95 services—from dormitory rental agreements to registering international students for migration purposes and visa extensions. The university's mobile app includes essential student features such as student ID cards, personal progress reports, class schedules, and electronic grade books. Faculty also benefit from convenient electronic transcripts and an electronic attendance and grade book.

Over 200 laboratories operate at the university to conduct various experiments, conduct research, and prepare scientific publications. These include a VR lab at the Engineering Academy, where students can work with modern 3D projects in mechanical engineering, architecture, mining, and transportation, as well as prepare and defend their term papers and final theses with visual presentations of their work in a fully immersive virtual environment. Furthermore, over 1,300 companies collaborate with RUDN University on graduate employment opportunities. Students have numerous opportunities to complete internships at public and government organizations, industrial enterprises, and public and private clinics. These opportunities also include preparing final theses on real-world projects and company challenges, with the potential for subsequent employment.

Our university rightfully occupies a vanguard position in the global educational and scientific arena. RUDN's contribution to achieving the SDGs is, without exaggeration, endless. These aren't just words, but real achievements, confirmed by international experts.

Incidentally, it has become a good tradition to hold the International Scientific Conference "For Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation, Science, Education, and Technology" annually in November at RUDN University. The conference serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and developing practical solutions for achieving the SDGs.

The main theme of 2025 is the achievement of 17 sustainable development goals by CIS member states by 2030.

In 2025, many visitors to the IAEA website were attracted by our scientific and technical materials on the use of nuclear energy, as well as nuclear science and technology.

1. Deepening understanding of nuclear energy

In 2025, one of the most popular materials on the IAEA website was the article "What is nuclear energy?"From it, readers learned how, thanks to the splitting of atoms, it is possible to generate environmentally friendly energy without greenhouse gas emissions.

Most nuclear reactors currently in operation use uranium as fuel. Read the article "What is uranium?", which will help you learn how uranium is mined and processed and why an amount of uranium fuel the size of a chicken egg produces as much energy as 88 tons of coal.

2. Progress in nuclear technology

The use of small modular reactors (SMRs) as a means of powering data centers for artificial intelligence systems is a topic of much discussion, and an article exploring this and other types of advanced nuclear reactors has become one of the most read stories of 2025.

In the article "What are molten salt reactors?" It discusses how passive safety systems in these types of reactors can improve the safety of nuclear power plants and how such reactors are designed to accommodate new types of fuel, in particular thorium.

3. Thermonuclear fusion: one step closer?

Nuclear fusion continues to be seen as a key energy goal, offering a potentially inexhaustible source of clean, greenhouse-gas-free energy. In 2025, the article "What is nuclear fusion?" remained among the site's most-read materials. From this article, readers learned about the development of nuclear fusion worldwide, as well as its differences from the nuclear fission reaction used in traditional reactors.

4. Peaceful applications outside the energy sector

Beyond energy, the IAEA helps countries harness the benefits of nuclear science and technology in medicine, agriculture, and food. In our material about isotopes explains how scientists use isotopes to determine the age and quality of water resources around the world and track environmental pollution. material on radiopharmaceuticals The discussion focuses on how radioisotopes can be used to treat or diagnose cancer and cardiovascular diseases. material about cyclotrons Explains how these important radioisotopes are produced.
