An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Institute of Civil Engineering, together with the developer RBI Group, organized an introductory internship for master's students in the international educational program "Civil Engineering." During the internship, the students visited the construction site of the Kuindzhi residential complex.

The event was attended by second-year master's students from 11 countries: China, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Burundi, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Afghanistan, as well as their Russian classmates. The tour was led by Natalia Braila, Associate Professor at the Institute of Hydrotechnical and Power Engineering (ISI) and Head of the Educational Program.

A visit to the residential complex under construction provided a unique opportunity for students to observe the modern construction methods and technologies used by leading developers in St. Petersburg today: from modern engineering systems to landscaping, structural systems, energy-efficient facades and translucent structures, digital coordination via a BIM model, and tender process management.

St. Petersburg has historically been and remains a place for implementing the most advanced technologies, from the construction of the first brick buildings on Vasilievsky Island to the construction of Europe's tallest skyscraper. Our goal, as one of the oldest technical universities in the country, is to share our achievements with talented specialists from friendly countries, who can contribute to the development of their own countries and bring their original ideas to our land. And it's important to us that we have the support of St. Petersburg's leading developers in this endeavor," emphasized SPbPU Rector Andrey Rudskoy.

The tour was led by Sergey Neelov, Head of the RBI Group's Engineering Team, and Taisiya Zelenkova, Director of Information Policy and Communications at RBI Group. During the visit, the specialists explained the project's features to the students and answered their questions.

The event included a tour of the facility's main areas: the architectural design and layout of the exterior, underground parking, apartment units, and the technical rooms supporting the building's utility systems. Of particular interest was the opportunity to examine the utility systems during the installation phase, prior to finishing work, allowing future specialists to thoroughly examine the logic behind the systems' placement and operating principles.

The graduate students also learned about the concept behind the residential complex's name. They were introduced to the philosophy behind the name "Kuindzhi," which reflects the connection between the building's architectural image and the creative legacy of artist Arkhip Kuindzhi, renowned for his mastery of light and color. This example demonstrated the potential for integrating artistic and engineering approaches in creating a comfortable urban environment.

Our mission is not only to develop urban areas through our projects but also to pass on our experience to talented young people and future generations. We actively collaborate with the Polytechnic University, holding lectures and discussions, and now also practical tours for young engineers and construction workers. Without this transfer of experience, the further development of the industry, and with it the development of the economy and the country, would be impossible," noted Eduard Tiktinsky, President of the RBI Group and Honorary Professor of SPbPU.

Eduard Tiktinsky more than once met with students of SPbPU and gave lectures. At these meetings, he shares his experiences, secrets of personal effectiveness and developing new skills with students, helping them find their path and profession. Since 2025, the President of RBI has held the title Honorary Professor of SPbPUEduard Tiktinsky is also known for his support of young entrepreneurs and as an expert in education. In 2017, he initiated the creation of the non-profit educational project "School of Future Leaders" for talented and motivated high school students. It now brings together over 200 participants—schoolchildren, students, and university graduates. Eduard Tiktinsky's lectures, presentations, and discussions at various business clubs invariably draw full houses.

"It was a fantastic experience for our group. Watching the construction of a residential complex in real life, especially with the team working diligently even in the snow, was fascinating and inspiring," noted Master's student Anas Ahmed.

"I really enjoyed the tour, from the beautiful façade to the underground parking, water supply, heating, and low-voltage systems, apartments, and the control room. For me, it was a clear confirmation of the high level of the Russian engineering school, which my mentor in Nigeria, architect Christian Uloko, had told me about," commented master's student Ndur Aondona Elijah.

"The tour of the RBI construction site was a profound practical lesson in quality, safety, and organizational discipline in modern construction. We saw all the key areas of the site—from the underground parking garage with utility systems to the apartment. I was particularly impressed by RBI's philosophy—a balance of innovation and strict control that allows for the creation of reliable and beautiful buildings. For me, as a future engineer, this visit was clear confirmation that construction is not just about calculations and materials, but about respect for the plan and uncompromising quality at every stage. I thank the Institute of Strategic Studies and RBI for this invaluable experience," said Master's student Umar Khazrat.

Novosibirsk State University has been implementing this program since 2022. Digital Departments project along with other participating universities Priority 2030 programAs part of this project, additional professional education program "Digital Jurisprudence" A roundtable discussion on digital assets was held, where participants discussed current issues related to digital asset circulation, particularly digital financial assets (DFAs), the use of digital currency, and the digital ruble within the Russian legal framework and with partner countries. The roundtable was interdisciplinary, with participants including lawyers, economists, technical specialists, and entrepreneurs.

Representatives from other Russian research centers and universities participated in the roundtable, including the Higher School of Economics, the Lebedev Russian State University of Justice, the Moscow University of Finance and Law (MFUA), the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Private Law Center of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, and others. HSE University acted as a co-organizer and partner of the event.

The roundtable was also supported by industrial partners of the NSU Digital Department. Representatives of the Siberian Main Administration of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (SMA CB) discussed current trends in digital asset turnover. Polina Sazonova, Director of the IT company Descendancy, shared her experience supporting the turnover of digital financial assets; a representative of Tokeny LLC (Tokeon platform) discussed significant digital financial asset projects implemented by the company; and a notary representative shared aspects of law enforcement in this area.

Nadezhda Barbanakova, Head of the Payment Systems and Settlements Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, emphasized:

"Two years ago, we said the digital financial services market was still relatively young. Today, the total value of all digital financial instruments issued in our country is approaching 1.5 trillion rubles. This further confirms the market's attractiveness."

For this to continue to develop, ongoing dialogue is needed between businesses, regulators, government agencies, as well as platform representatives and researchers. For example, last year in Novosibirsk, we held a meeting attended by companies that had already issued digital financial assets and those planning to raise capital.

As a result, we formed a focus group, and one of its results was the creation of the "Guide"—an educational app on the digital financial instrument issuance process. Today, we're introducing businesses to its capabilities.

The event's initiator and organizer, Elizaveta Zainutdinova, head of the Digital Jurisprudence program at NSU, noted that the roundtable was practical and useful for the participants. She did not rule out the possibility of joint projects for the implementation of digital asset circulation, in which NSU could participate and serve as a member of the advisory group.

Marat Khusnullin: Volunteer recruitment for voting on improvement projects has begun.

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Government of the Russian Federation – Government of the Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Russia has begun recruiting volunteers for a nationwide vote on improvement projects. Applications to join the volunteer corps can be submitted starting March 12 on the Dobro.RF platform. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced the announcement.

“One of the country’s national development goals is a comfortable and safe living environment. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" is an integral tool for achieving this. Within this framework, we are consistently working with regions and municipalities to improve public spaces, and this is yielding tangible results. It is important that residents themselves choose which places in their cities will be transformed. This is why the all-Russian vote on improvement projects, which has been held since 2021 and has garnered 68 million votes to date, has become extremely popular. The voting geography is expanding—1,667 municipalities can now participate. In 2025, the reunified regions joined the vote for the third time, with projects receiving nearly 131,000 votes. Volunteers in this process act as guides for residents, helping them participate in the voting. Over the course of this period, more than 500,000 volunteers have contributed to the improvement of cities. We greatly appreciate their assistance—thanks to the activity of volunteers, more and more Russians are getting involved in addressing their development issues. cities,” noted Marat Khusnullin.

Volunteer support for the project has been ongoing for the sixth year. Volunteer tasks were included in the agenda for discussion at the "There Are Results!" reporting and program forum, held by United Russia in Rostov-on-Don. These tasks include informing residents about public space design projects and helping them vote for their favorite projects through the government services portal, including parks, embankments, squares, pedestrian and recreational areas, and central city squares proposed for improvement. Volunteers also answer citizens' questions about project implementation timelines, how to initiate initiatives and propose their own projects, and more.

"Experience shows that when there's someone nearby who can explain and offer advice, people are much more active in voting. Last year, during the fifth all-Russian online vote, approximately 170,000 volunteers participated and helped 60% of citizens cast their ballots, collecting nearly 9.5 million votes. It's worth noting that residents not only vote for selected projects but also initiate change themselves, proposing projects for improvement during the list compilation stage. This creates a comprehensive feedback system between citizens and government authorities on urban development issues. Volunteers who help residents make their choices are part of the larger process of transforming our country. I encourage all concerned individuals to join the Dobro.RF volunteer team and contribute to Russia's development," said Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Alexey Yeresko.

Among the areas created thanks to voting are, for example, the Energy of Sport Park in the city of Ruzayevka in the Republic of Mordovia, for which over 10,000 people voted; the Molodezhny Innovation Park in the city of Gubkinsky in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, with its developed infrastructure and art installations, which received 3,000 votes; and the Heroic Pilots Park in the Dzerzhinsky District of Volgograd, with its children's and sports town, which received 24,000 votes.

"The project's volunteer corps has grown exponentially over the past six years. While just over 11,000 volunteers participated in 2021, today it represents hundreds of thousands of people across the country. This growth reflects the coordinated work of regional headquarters, the Dobro.RF team, and the high demand from people to participate. The project gives everyone the opportunity to get involved, see results, and personally influence the future of their city. A new season is upon us, and we are confident that active volunteers and those who are just starting out will continue to strengthen the movement," noted Artyom Metelev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Head of the Dobro.RF ecosystem, and member of the United Russia faction.

In 2026, the all-Russian vote is planned to be held not only in municipalities with populations over 20,000 but also in municipalities where key population centers are located. Volunteers will inform residents about the projects at information points and public spaces and will also assist with voting using a simplified format. Anyone over the age of 14 can become a volunteer.
