Autumn is the perfect time to warm up with aromatic tea. At the capital's interregional fairs, you can find a variety of teas and herbal infusions that will bring comfort even on the most inclement day.

The shelves feature teas from a variety of climates and ecosystems—from the mountain slopes of Karachay-Cherkessia and the meadows of Bashkortostan to Karelia and the Siberian taiga.

Fair participants from the Republic of Bashkortostan offer customers 18 types of herbal teas. Whole-leaf teas and a unique air-drying technology in special rooms with natural ventilation preserve the beneficial substances, natural aroma, and color of the plants. The fair's selection includes teas such as "Vitamin," "For Health," "Strawberry," "Honey Glade," and fireweed with oregano or mint. A new addition to the season, "Legendary" carrot tea, is particularly popular. It is created using restored recipes from the Great Patriotic War.

"It took me several years to collect various recipes and recreate the technology. For the packaging of this tea, we used a symbolic composition: fermented carrots as a symbol of the earth, green currant leaves as a sign of prosperity, and apple blossoms as a symbol of Victory," said Galiya Valeeva, a participant in interregional fairs.

Bashkir tea can be purchased at two fairs—on Semenovskaya Square and Ketcherskaya Street. Each box of tea is decorated with hand-crafted compositions of dried herbs.

The fair on Semyonovskaya Square also features herbal teas from the ecologically clean regions of Karachay-Cherkessia. The selection includes general tonics like "Mountain" and "Dombai," as well as specialized teas for the heart, kidneys, and restoring sound sleep.

The newly harvested herbs are dried at temperatures up to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit)—this gentle processing preserves the beneficial properties and aroma of the plants. The blends include lemon balm, oregano, thyme, chamomile, St. John's wort, and rose hips. Customers can choose from loose leaf teas, individual tea bags, or gift linen bags. For the best aroma and benefits, the manufacturer recommends brewing the blend with 85–90 degree Celsius (185–194 degree Fahrenheit) water in a thermos and letting it steep for several hours.

At the Moscow fair on Gorodetskaya Street, you can find over 10 types of herbal and other Siberian plant infusions, infused with wild berries. The selection includes "Rowan," "Berry," and a unique infusion with cedar needles. Particularly popular is "Taiga" tea, made with sagan-daylya, a renowned tonic plant native to Russia's Far East.

The interregional fair on Yunyh Lenintsev Street features tea blends from Karelia. Large-leaf pressed tea is made using a traditional method: herbs and berries are dried in a wood-fired oven. Among the teas on display are "Arctic" with blueberries, "Cloudberry Amber," "Aroma of the North" with St. John's wort, and "Forest" with lingonberries. These drinks have a tonic, calming, and antiseptic effect, and you can find the right one at the fair.

A well-chosen herbal tea can help you establish a daily routine. Tonic drinks with berries and fireweed are an excellent choice for an invigorating morning. During the day, it's best to brew vitamin-rich and tonic blends to help maintain energy. And in the evening, choose herbs with a gentle, calming effect, promoting relaxation and preparing for sleep.

Moscow fairs are a traditional destination for city residents to purchase high-quality, fresh farm produce from over 40 regions of Russia. Each supplier guarantees the quality and freshness of their products, and specialists State Veterinary Service of the City of Moscow check products before they hit the shelves. Last summer alone, weekend fairs and interregional venues were visited four million people, almost 5.5 thousand tons of products were purchased.

Fair participants are provided with free space. The pavilions are located near metro stations and other busy locations and are equipped with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and video surveillance systems, as well as commercial and refrigeration equipment, making them comfortable to visit.

Nearly 50 tunnels, bridges, overpasses, and flyovers will be built in Moscow by 2029.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Over the next three years, 47 bridges, tunnels, overpasses, and flyovers will be built in the capital using city budget funds. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

"The construction of road structures remains a priority in the development of Moscow's transportation infrastructure. In 2024 alone, 25 tunnels, overpasses, bridges, and overpasses were built, significantly increasing the accessibility of areas bordered by waterways or railways. The construction of new bridges, tunnels, and overpasses allows for the creation of new focal points—business, industrial, and cultural—in different parts of the city, making it more polycentric. By 2029, we plan to construct nearly 50 new road structures," noted Vladimir Efimov.

Artificial road structures redistribute traffic flows, reducing congestion and traffic volume. For example, the construction of new bridges and tunnels helps eliminate congestion on major highways and speeds up traffic flow.

"We are placing great emphasis on improving connectivity between the city's districts and neighborhoods, which is why we are constructing bridges and overpasses. By 2028, we will build an overpass at the intersection of the Oktyabrsky and Savelovsky railway lines, from Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street to Akademika Korolev Street. In addition, new road structures will be built connecting Menzhinsky and Dudinka Streets, as well as Malygina Street and Malyginsky Proyezd," noted the head of the Moscow Department of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure Construction.

Vasily Desyatkov.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin announced which roads and bridges would be built in Moscow inthree years.

In Moscow, the waiting time for planned hospitalization of patients has been halved.

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

A new system for seamless patient routing between outpatient clinics and hospitals has been operational in Moscow since the beginning of 2025. It has reduced wait times for scheduled medical care and doubled the proportion of scheduled hospitalizations. Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

"Moscow's healthcare system today is based on the core principle of patient-centricity. Digitalization and the accumulated data allow us to rethink many processes and create a more understandable, convenient, and efficient path for both doctors and patients. For example, since the beginning of this year, we've been working on creating a new ecosystem of interactions between outpatient clinics and hospitals to make receiving routine medical care as simple and quick as possible. Previously, the path to routine hospitalization required patients to make multiple in-person visits. First, they had to obtain a referral from the outpatient clinic, then independently register for the inpatient consultative and diagnostic department, and then return to the outpatient clinic to obtain a referral for hospitalization," explained Anastasia Rakova.

Now, most processes are automated and require no patient intervention, saving them time. When an indication for hospitalization is identified, the clinic physician creates a request, which all specialized hospitals in the city can review and propose their own timelines and conditions for providing planned medical care.

"The review process takes up to 72 hours and does not require patient participation. They only need to select a hospital remotely with their treating physician, after which a referral will be generated. If a preliminary consultation is needed, a single contact center operator will contact the patient and schedule an appointment. If immediate hospitalization is recommended, a hospital staff member will contact the patient and explain the procedure. Now, 40 percent of patients bypass the consultation and diagnostic department, which has halved the wait time for routine medical care and doubled the rate of routine hospitalizations," the Deputy Mayor explained.

She added that doctors in the consultative and diagnostic department can now see all the results of tests performed at the clinic in the electronic medical record. The system automatically alerts patients if they attempt to order duplicate tests, which has helped reduce the number of such tests by two to three times.

In cases where an immediate decision on hospitalization is impossible, an individualized plan of examinations and consultations is prescribed. For this purpose, staff from the single contact center contact the patient and register them with the inpatient clinic. Thus, 70 percent of patients schedule an appointment within the first 10 days of receiving the referral.

Furthermore, there's no longer a need to visit the clinic multiple times to obtain a new referral. The referral is valid for a year, and further inpatient care—repeat appointments, tests, and hospitalization—is arranged by the KDO physician.

If, following a consultation in the consultative and diagnostic department, a patient requires further examination at the clinic, a referral can be issued remotely, without a visit. More than 3,400 people use this service monthly.

Ten streets in the Novo-Peredelkino district have been renovated as part of the comprehensive improvement program. Among the areas transformed are Zeleny Tupik, the access road to 3 Sholokhova Street, 3rd Lazenki Street, and other areas.

As part of the project, specialists from Moscow's Urban Services Department replaced over 22,000 square meters of roadway and repaired over 1,500 square meters of sidewalks. In addition, new traffic lights, outdoor and contrast lighting poles, and hardscape elements were installed in the area.

In Zeleny Tupik, over 4,500 square meters of asphalt were repaved on the sidewalk and roadway, over 1.5 kilometers of curbstone were laid, and 600 square meters of grass were laid. In addition, new lighting poles and hardscape elements were installed.

The access road to building 3 on Sholokhov Street was also repaired. Over 2,400 square meters of roadway, over 700 square meters of sidewalks, and over 700 square meters of lawn were renovated. New streetlights and hardscape elements were also installed.

The comprehensive improvement project involved employees of the State Budgetary Institution "Avtomobilnye Dorogi" (Motorways), contractors, and manufacturing companies. Due to the high traffic volume in the Novo-Peredelkino area and weather conditions, work was carried out simultaneously on several sections from March to October.

The comprehensive improvement program in the Novo-Peredelkino district includes a complete renovation of the street and road network. This will improve traffic and pedestrian safety. As a result, not only is the road surface being upgraded, but convenient approaches and access roads to residential areas, pedestrian crossings, modern bus shelters, pedestrian navigation signs, and other elements of a comfortable urban environment and recreational areas will be installed.

Active Citizens has determined the future of charging infrastructure in city courtyards.

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Source: Moscow Government – Moscow Government –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The Active Citizen project summed up voting results, in which more than 171,000 Moscow residents determined how charging infrastructure for eco-friendly transport will be developed in Moscow courtyards.

Metropolitan Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Oversees the "Energy of Moscow" project to develop charging infrastructure. Its key goals are to reduce harmful emissions and promote electric vehicles. Electric charging stations are already operational in nearly 100 districts of the city. Charging takes an average of 30-40 minutes. Electric car owners also enjoy benefits, including free parking and waived vehicle taxes.

"We're developing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the behest of Sergei Sobyanin. We're installing modern charging stations in high-traffic areas, popular spaces, gas stations, and shopping and business centers. We're currently exploring the possibility of installing charging stations in courtyards. Currently, there are over 350 modern stations in the capital, and by 2030, their number will reach 4,000 across the city," he said.

Maxim Liksutov.

Growing demand for green transport

The survey results showed that one in five respondents plans to purchase an electric vehicle. Among current owners of eco-friendly vehicles (two percent of respondents), there is a high frequency of use of charging stations: almost half of them charge their cars daily at modern charging stations.

Preferences of electric vehicle owners

Electric car owners who participated in the survey shared their habits, which is crucial for infrastructure planning. The most popular charging points were publicly accessible Energy of Moscow stations, private parking spaces near their homes, and other public charging stations operated by commercial operators.

City residents find it most convenient to charge their cars while at home. Given the pace of modern metropolitan life, half of respondents choose fast charging for their electric cars.

Where and what kind of charging stations do Muscovites want to see?

During the voting, "active citizens" shared their opinions on the placement of charging stations in residential areas. Thirty percent of respondents supported the idea. Most believe the stations should be located in a remote, designated area so as not to interfere with other traffic. Participants also shared their own ideas. Muscovites placed particular emphasis on comfort and safety, suggesting installing the stations under CCTV cameras to avoid blocking traffic, and away from play and sports areas. For courtyards, most residents chose fast chargers, which allow a car to be charged in approximately 30 minutes.

How will the survey results impact infrastructure development?

The Active Citizen project, in collaboration with the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, prepared the survey. The results will be integrated into the Moscow charging network development strategy.

Project Active Citizen has been operating since 2014. During this time, more than seven million people have joined, and over seven thousand votes have been held. Every month, 30 to 40 citizen decisions are implemented in the city. The project is being developed by the State Public Institution "New Management Technologies" and the Moscow Department of Information Technology.

The creation, development and operation of e-government infrastructure, including the provision of mass socially significant and other services in electronic form, are consistent with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and the Moscow regional project "Digital Public Administration."
