Applications from NGOs are now being accepted for participation in the Moscow — a Kind City grant competition

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Applications are now open for socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) to participate in the seventh grant competition "Moscow – a Kind City". It will last until the end of September. This was reported by Alexandra Alexandrova, First Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the City of Moscow.

"Non-profit organizations are reliable partners of the city in caring for Muscovites who need special attention. NPOs complement the large-scale system of state aid with individual solutions and unique services. One of the key partners of the capital in the development of charity is the "Moscow – a Kind City" program: in seven years, it has become an important part of the ecosystem of support for the NPO sector in Moscow. At the same time, financial assistance remains one of the most stable and popular forms of support for non-profit organizations. Therefore, for the seventh time, we are holding a grant competition with a total fund of 400 million rubles. Applications have already begun and will continue until September 30," noted Alexandra Alexandrova.

This year, participants will be offered a choice of six main areas for submitting applications. Among them are initiatives to support adults and children with special needs, families and adolescents in difficult life situations, participants in a special military operation and their family members, promotion of social volunteering, prevention of socially dangerous diseases. Particular attention will be paid to projects on social employment, supported living, as well as probation and mentoring.

Grants will traditionally be divided into three groups: small (up to one million rubles), medium (from one to five million rubles) and large (from five to 10 million rubles). Both young NGOs and experienced players in the non-profit sector will be able to apply for them.

"This year, even more young organizations will compete for the grant. We have specially lowered the entry threshold for them – now NGOs with at least six months of experience can apply. Previously, only organizations that had been operating for at least a year had this opportunity. NGOs created by SVO participants can apply regardless of their registration date. We have removed all restrictions for them and are confident that the leaders of such NGOs know firsthand the needs of this category and will be able to develop effective solutions – how to properly provide assistance to people who have returned from the SVO zone and are integrating into civil life. They can also develop patriotic projects, because their contribution to the formation of true values is fundamentally important for the city," added Alexandra Alexandrova.

Moscow helps organizations effectively use the financial support mechanism. For those who want to increase their chances of winning, there is a grant school "Moscow – a kind city" – one of the largest and most popular free educational platforms in the capital in this area. Organizations learn to write applications for the competition and receive a tool for creating and implementing their initiatives. The training allows both young and experienced NPO teams to formulate their programs as accurately as possible to meet the social needs of Muscovites and build an effective strategy for partnership with the city.

The course consists of several educational modules in face-to-face and online formats. The schedule of classes is as follows: linkThe school is open until September 11th.

The grant competition organizers have taken care of comprehensive support for the participants. Thus, a 24-hour hotline has been launched by phone: 7 495 197-99-99. More information about the terms of participation can be found at official website, and also in telegram channel.

Program "Moscow is a kind city"has been implemented in the capital since 2019. This is an effective model of partnership between the city and the charitable sector to provide targeted assistance to residents of the capital. One of its key projects is a grant competition for socially oriented NPOs. Over six years, 648 projects have received funding for a total of 2.4 billion rubles.

As Sergei Sobyanin noted in development strategies Moscow's social protection system until 2030, the synergy of the work of city services and NGOs allows providing support to the maximum number of residents in need.

The facades of the National Hotel have begun to be repaired with the help of climbers

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Specialists have begun repair work on the facades of the National Hotel, a cultural heritage site of federal significance, located at 15/1 Mokhovaya Street, Building 1.

"The building of the National Hotel is a striking example of eclecticism. When it opened in 1902, the hotel was the most expensive, prestigious and modern in Moscow. Representatives of government, high-ranking military personnel, important foreign guests and famous cultural figures stayed here. Restorers will put its facades in order: they will clean the plaster and paint layers, stucco decor and forged elements. In addition, they will complete the granite in the basement and carry out work on the drainage system. The renovation is planned to be completed in 2026," said the head of the Moscow City Department of Cultural Heritage (Mosgornasledie).

Alexey Emelyanov.

All work is carried out under the supervision of the Moscow City Heritage Department. Up to the second floor, specialists will use a tower, and on the upper floors, climbers.

Reflection of the 1920s

The grand opening of the hotel took place at the end of December 1902, and in January 1903 the first guests moved in.

Its facades are made in the eclectic style, which is typical for the work of the architect Alexander Ivanov. During construction, he used several technological innovations. For example, coal dust and rosin soap were added to the plaster for the decorative details of the facades, increasing its moisture resistance. The design solution of the main staircase was also original, the flights of which on the lower floors were made without a supporting beam (stringer) – the steps were attached to a metal console structure embedded in the wall.

The hotel was equipped with modern equipment of that time: elevators were installed, both passenger and service (utility lifts), telephones were installed in all rooms. The most prestigious rooms – suites – were located on the third floor, they had their own bathrooms and expensive furniture.

In 1918, after the capital was moved to Moscow and the government moved there, the hotel was nationalized and renamed the First House of Soviets. Representatives of various people's commissariats were accommodated in the rooms – in fact, the hotel turned into a hostel for Soviet officials.

From mid-1931 to the end of 1932, the building was reconstructed and the decorative interior design was restored in connection with the return of its original function – the opening of the National Hotel.

Today, the hotel's interiors feature historic stained glass windows, fireplaces with marble portals, lighting fixtures and artistic metalwork from the 1900s, as well as antiques from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The building's true decorations are the majolica panel with an industrial theme from the 1930s on the figured attic of the rounded corner part of the building and four majolica panels "Seasons". They are included in the subject of protection of this historical monument.

In addition, the architectural and artistic design of the interiors from the 1900s has been preserved: the main entrance vestibule, elevator halls and stairwells of the main staircase on the floors. Four sculptures of atlantes on pedestals flanking the elevator blocks in the first floor vestibule, openwork gratings with plant motifs of the elevator openings on the landings of the main staircase, wall rustication, gilded stucco decor with floral motifs on the walls, ceilings and stair stringers, stucco ceilings with coffers, rosettes, profiled panels, gilded ceiling cornices, parquet, as well as heating radiators from the early 20th century have remained intact.

The hotel rooms with decorative finishing and artistic paintings on the walls and ceilings also survived, including a stucco ceiling with the composition “The Triumph of Juno” in room 115 on the third floor and a frieze with the plot “Bacchus on a wooden bicycle” in room 207 on the fourth floor.

The preservation and renovation of the building corresponds to the goals of the national project "Infrastructure for life". More information about national projects and the capital's contribution can be found at special page.

The tour includes the Mosfilm studio, where they conduct excursions around the Old Moscow/Old St. Petersburg natural site and the museum. This is an opportunity to see the Moskvich from the film Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears, real Oscar statuettes, animatronics from the film Viy, and decorations.

Excursion "Seventeen Moments of the Capital: Moscow by Tatyana Lioznova" will tell about the creative path of the director, whose career began at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov. Not far from the university is the Gorky Film Studio, celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. Various excursions and master classes are held here, including the quest excursion "Secrets of the Film Studio! In Search of the "Golden Lion"", and classes are organized in the "Film Poster Workshop". Walking along the route, you can find out in which estate Stirlitz's secret negotiations in Bern were filmed or his walk through the suburbs of Berlin in the legendary multi-part film "Seventeen Moments of Spring". And also see the places where key scenes from the films "Three Poplars on Plyushchikha" and "Carnival" were filmed.

Cultural and educational tourism is one of the main goals of travel to Moscow from other regions of Russia. Many guests use thematic walks Russpass. In addition to new film routes, you can also turn to already familiar walks. For example, the interregional route through Moscow and the Vladimir region "The Magic of Cinema", excursions "Moscow – the city of cinema: a route for car enthusiasts" or"Moscow from the Cinema" with a free audio guide.

The Russpass service began operating in 2020. During this time, it has grown into a full-fledged ecosystem. Thanks to it, it is easy to plan a trip, book tickets and a hotel, and select excursions. The online publication "Russpass-magazine" will help you learn everything about traveling around Russia. Since June 2023, the portal "Russpass. Business" has been operating for representatives of the tourism industry.

The digital tourist service Russpass was developed on the initiative of the Moscow Government. The project is supervised by the Moscow Tourism Committee together with the Department of Information Technology.

Classes in film lecture halls were included in the list of 20 most popular ones within the framework of “Moscow Longevity”

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Programs in film lecture halls and film clubs are gaining more and more popularity in the Moscow Longevity project. Its participants can be the first to attend film and TV series premieres, discuss what they have seen with industry experts, enjoy world cinema classics in the company of like-minded people, and learn to better understand this art form.

"The educational programs of "Moscow Longevity" remain in great demand among older city residents. Here, participants study foreign languages, improve their level of financial and legal literacy, attend lectures on the history of art and much more. Recently, we have seen that classes in film lecture halls are becoming increasingly popular, which have already entered the top 20 most popular. This area is constantly expanding – new partners and formats are appearing, due to which each participant can choose what is interesting to him: get acquainted with the latest news, study the history of cinema, meet with experts in the film industry," – noted

Vladimir Filippov, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Among the project partners is the Moskino cinema chain, where a course created specifically for Moscow Longevity participants has been running for the third year. Experts talk about the full cycle of film production and organize screenings of films from the golden collection of world cinema.

An active participant of Moscow Longevity, Galina Beregovaya, is studying acting as part of the project, so the film lecture hall is also interesting to her from a professional point of view. The woman attends screenings at the Cosmos cinema and closely follows the playbill.

According to Galina Beregovaya, when she attends such meetings, she tries to delve deeper into the acting work and understand what the scriptwriter and director were thinking about. At the same time, the lectures before the film are always very interesting, informative and useful for understanding the plot. As the project participant shared, it is valuable to learn the opinion of experts on the intricacies of the script and director's work and to understand how the film is assembled. Thus, from the last one she watched, she was very hooked by the film "Memory of the Heart". According to the participant of "Moscow Longevity", she always carefully selects films and goes to those that correspond to her views on life.

The film lecture series is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in 11 Moskino cinemas: Vympel, Iskra, Kosmos, Tula, Salute, Sputnik, Saturn, Molodezhny, Fakel, Angara, Zhukovsky.

Recently, 14 more cinemas in the capital joined the Moscow Longevity project. Here, participants can watch new films and discuss them with experts. Recordings are available at any Moscow Longevity Center or online on the portal Mos.ru.

In addition, the Moscow Longevity Centers continue to operate a film club. During these meetings, visitors watch films with friends and acquaintances, and also participate in discussions and analyses conducted by experts, such as film scholars, film critics, directors or actors. Thus, the guests of the film club have already included Yuri Stoyanov, Olga Khokhlova, Alexander Domogarov Jr., Artem Mikhalkov and many others.

Weekly meetings in the film club are held on Wednesdays at 18:00. You can join them in person at the Moscow Longevity Center "Presnensky". In other centers, film screenings and meetings with speakers are held online in real time. One of the permanent partners of the film club is the largest Russian online cinema, which regularly makes its new releases available for viewing.

Everyone can find an interesting format in the film club — from animation and TV series to popular science and documentaries. For example, in August, the project participants already watched the family comedy "Beware, Children!" and the Russian biographical film about the football player of Moscow "Spartak" Fedor Cherenkov.

Before the screening of the film "Mr. Knockout" about the life of the famous Soviet boxer, USSR and European champion and winner of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics Valery Popenchenko, viewers met with the film's director Artem Mikhalkov.

"I presented a historical film because through literature, through films we must definitely remember our history. Such communication at meetings creates a unifying atmosphere at any age, which fills all participants with very good emotions. It is nice to see that in "Moscow Longevity" there is such a direction, where the older generation unites through art and a common interest in literature, music and cinema," noted Artem Mikhalkov.

All Muscovites over 55 can join the film club. The screening schedule is available at project website.

The film club meetings are held within the framework of a single calendar of classes, which appeared this spring in all Moscow longevity centers. It also includes morning exercises, rhythm classes, courses on maintaining cognitive skills and psycho-emotional health, lectures on health, as well as assistance in applying for electronic government services and much more.

The full calendar of classes can be found at project website or in any Moscow longevity center.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On capital portal of suppliers Individuals now have the opportunity to sign offers electronically thanks to integration with the Gosklyuch mobile application. This was reported by the head of the Moscow City Department for Competition Policy Kirill Purtov.

"Interaction between entrepreneurs and government customers is becoming increasingly transparent and secure due to the high level of digitalization of processes on the supplier portal. Now individuals working on the platform can sign offers using Gosklyuch, a special smartphone application that allows signing electronic documents. Thanks to this, they can even sign price offers for the supply of their goods, works or services from mobile devices, which are then posted in the portal catalog. This innovation not only simplifies the work process, but also increases the level of trust between counterparties: a signature in the application has the same legal force as a handwritten one. In the future, we plan to expand the use of Gosklyuch for signing other important documents on the platform by individuals, including contracts," said Kirill Purtov.

If previously individuals needed a computer and an enhanced qualified electronic signature issued by a certification authority to sign an offer, now to obtain such a certificate it is enough to download a free mobile application.

Another advantage of implementing the Gosklyuch functions is strengthening the information security of users. The application will protect data and prevent fraudulent actions.

There are 24 hours to sign the offer in Gosklyuch, the deadline is additionally displayed on the supplier portal in a pop-up notification. Detailed instructions for installing the application and working in it can be found at public services portal.

Suppliers portal was created in 2013 to automate small-volume purchases. Currently, more than 60 thousand customers from 42 regions of Russia and over 380 thousand entrepreneurs across the country work on the platform. The list of goods, works and services offered by businessmen includes more than 3.2 million unique items. About 1.5 thousand contracts are concluded there daily.

As noted in the capital Department of Information Technology, the portal continues to develop for the convenience of users and to ensure the reliability of the operations. Convenient services allow small businesses and individuals working on the resource to optimize their labor and time resources: for example, when filling out a new product card, the neural network determines its category based on the uploaded image and finds matches between similar offers, and with the help of the built-in API service, suppliers can download the entire catalog or part of it to analyze products and develop a purchasing strategy. To optimize the process of participation in quotation sessions, the portal has an automatic bid bot. Thanks to it, suppliers can simultaneously participate in several mini-auctions.

The functional customer of the portal is the capital Department of Competition Policy, and its technical development is supervised by the Department of Information Technology of the City of Moscow.

To support users, representative offices are opened in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. There, specialists train how to work on the platform, answer questions from customers and suppliers, hold face-to-face meetings, collect suggestions for improving functions and solving technical problems. In addition, users can contact the support service at a single federal number: 7 800 303-12-34 or leave a request at website.
