We are pleased that our collaboration with Setl Group is actively developing, and we look forward to further strengthening our partnership."

Vitaly Ershov rose from a humble beginning to become the Director of Construction at St. Petersburg's largest construction holding. He addressed the audience on the topic: "Foreman—a proud title!" Vitaly Vladimirovich highlighted key aspects of a construction supervisor's work: the foreman's role as the foundation of the construction process, a guide from the design concept to the project's completion. He also discussed the importance of management and engineering skills in today's environment and how the construction industry surrounds everyone. He also focused on the state of the vocational education system in construction and the industry's priorities. Vitaly Ershov emphasized the importance of the profession by demonstrating iconic projects completed by Setl Group, including the Victory Plaza residential complex and others.

During his lecture, the guest focused on graduates' career paths, including opportunities in general contracting and development companies, government service, and architectural firms. They also discussed the prospects of starting their own business. Vitaly Vladimirovich emphasized the need for an informed career choice and a commitment to continuous professional development.

In recognition of their contribution to the development of partnerships, Vitaly Ershov presented copies of the author's book to Marina Petrochenko, Director of the Institute of Social Studies; Asiyat Eliseeva, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Student Relations; and Evgeniya Zavodnova, Deputy Director for Operations.

Yuri Trutnev inspected the progress of restoration work in the territories of the DPR under the Far East's protection.

Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev inspected the progress of social infrastructure restoration in the Donetsk People's Republic's Far Eastern territories.

In the 2026 season, Far Eastern regions will carry out social infrastructure restoration work in 22 settlements with a total population of 205,000 people in six municipalities of the DPR. 107 facilities are scheduled for restoration, including 9 schools, 7 kindergartens, 4 sports grounds and gyms, 3 community centers, 3 medical facilities, 7.5 km of water pipelines, and 58,894.9 square meters of roads. Work is currently underway at 57 facilities. The delivery of humanitarian aid will continue. Since the beginning of the year, 34 tons of humanitarian aid have already been delivered.

"The most important thing is that we're maintaining the pace we've achieved in previous years. We're not experiencing any delays in completing projects. Unfortunately, sometimes construction in the Far East takes a little longer than we'd like, but in the new territories, there are no missed deadlines. I'm grateful to the governors for maintaining this high pace. They personally visit the territories, monitoring the progress of the work and the activities of their work teams. We're helping our fraternal territories. We're helping children, renovating sports facilities and schools. We're helping restore life in territories that were recently the scene of war. This is important work. Everyone understands this and does everything with all their heart," said Yuri Trutnev.

During his working visit, the Deputy Prime Minister met with representatives of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) working group and inspected the restoration of facilities in the Dokuchaevsk urban district and the village of Yelenovka. Eleven facilities are included in the 2026 repair and restoration plan. Work is currently underway at seven of the planned facilities. Eighty people and six pieces of equipment are involved.

In Dokuchayevsk, Yuri Trutnev inspected the Children's Art Center and Youth Center, where renovations are nearing completion. Yakut specialists have completed major repairs to the roofs and facades of the buildings, replaced windows, updated utilities, and completed a range of finishing works. Engineering work, furniture assembly, and grounds cleaning are underway. The overall completion rate for the facilities is 96%. According to Anatoly Alekseyev, head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) working group, all work on the facilities will be completed in April.

In the village of Yelenovka, Yuri Trutnev visited the building of Yelenovskaya School No. 2. Built over half a century ago, the building was severely damaged by shelling from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Last year, the school's windows were replaced and the roof was re-roofed. This year, a full-scale overhaul has begun. Dismantling, installation of a ventilated façade, finishing work, and garbage removal are underway.

"The main focus is now on Yelenovskaya School No. 2. The plan sets the completion date until the end of the year. But we understand how important it is for children to attend the renovated school as soon as possible, so we intend to complete the work ahead of schedule and by November," said Anatoly Alekseev.

A major renovation of the youth center building with an IT center will be completed by August of this year. Installation of the suspended ceiling for the assembly hall, the stage deck, and the video surveillance system is currently underway. The overall completion rate for the facility is 95%. The Andreevsky Rural Center for Spiritual Development, a municipal cultural institution in the village of Andreyevka, will undergo a major renovation. Work is underway to clear the construction site for work, demolition work, and waste removal. Repairs to three water mains, two roads, and two sidewalks will also be completed.

"We plan to complete repairs to water pipes, roads, and sidewalks ahead of schedule—this summer. The leadership of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has tasked the working group with completing all planned projects ahead of schedule. We will strive to achieve this," added Anatoly Alekseev.

Yakut medical professionals continue to work in Dokuchaevsk. This year, they have already performed 42 surgeries. A surgeon from one of the republic's hospitals is currently working in Dokuchaevsk.

"I am continually amazed by the scale of our country. It's incredible that specialists from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), located almost 9,000 kilometers away, came to us to help restore and establish peaceful life in the urban district of Dokuchaevsk. We have developed a truly friendly relationship with our host region. We work closely and collaborate, and our questions and suggestions are resolved promptly. We are one country, one people!" said Alexander Kachanov, head of the Dokuchaevsk city administration.

The Starobeshevsky District of the Donetsk People's Republic has remained a special focus of its sponsor regions—the Zabaykalsky Krai and the Republic of Buryatia—since 2022. Since then, joint efforts have enabled the restoration of approximately one hundred residential and social facilities. These include schools and kindergartens, community centers, water supply facilities, roads, and apartment buildings.

This year, Buryatia's top priority is the renovation of an apartment building located at 19 Lenin Street in Komsomolskoye. Its entrance hall was in disrepair and required urgent repairs. To promptly resolve the issue, specialists conducted a comprehensive building inspection in 2025, prepared a design solution, and underwent an expert assessment. Repair work began in January and is now complete. The project is currently undergoing documentation acceptance and handover.

The Transbaikal Territory will continue the third phase of the restoration of the Novosvetskaya Music School. The façade has already been renovated, and new windows, roofing, fencing, and lighting have been installed. Previously, thanks to the Transbaikal Territory, School No. 1, the central square, and part of Lenin Street in the city of Komsomolskoye were renovated.

Much attention is being paid to upgrading the region's public utilities infrastructure. Buryatia will soon begin major repairs on five water pipelines: four in Starobeshevo and one in Komsomolskoye. Furthermore, the city's wastewater treatment facilities will be renovated.

In Komsomolsk-on-Amur Transbaikal, a water pipeline approximately 3 kilometers long is undergoing major repairs. In preparation for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter season, the region delivered supplies to the Starobeshevsky District at the request of local utility services: pipes, plumbing tools, fire hydrants, and other equipment.

Buryatia will restore district and village administration buildings. Among the projects planned for this year is the installation of a comprehensive sports ground on the grounds of Starobeshevskaya School No. 1. Specialists from Zabaikalsky Krai are already carrying out a major renovation of a school in the village of Maryanovka, beginning with replacing the roof.

Among other projects, roads in the Starobeshevsky District will be upgraded in the city of Komsomolskoye and the villages of Novy Svet and Starobeshovo. Zabaikalsky Krai has already begun repairing the road from the main Lenin Square to Kirov Street in Starobeshovo.

In the village of Novy Svet in the Starobeshevsky District, Yuri Trutnev visited the Berezka nursery school, which the Zabaykalsky Krai completed a major renovation last September. Inside the building, built over 50 years ago, all the rooms were renovated, the furniture was replaced, and a modern heating system was installed. "The Zabaykalsky Krai has created all the conditions to ensure our children's stay at the kindergarten is comfortable, cozy, and, of course, happy," noted the preschool's director, Tatyana Fedorova.

The Sakhalin Region is helping restore Shakhtyorsk's social infrastructure. Thanks to this support, nearly 40 apartment building roofs have been restored over the past four years. More than 20 of these are located in the Zhuravlevka microdistrict. The work was carried out by construction workers from the sponsoring region. Specialists dismantled old structures, replaced roof supports, treated the materials with fire retardant, and installed metal profiles.

Housing restoration work in Shakhtyorsk continues. In 2026, renovations are planned for 13 social and municipal infrastructure facilities, including two water supply facilities (the Yuzhnaya water pumping station and a water tower), two schools, one healthcare facility, and two residential buildings.

In Shakhtyorsk, Yuri Trutnev visited Secondary School No. 11. Built in 1959, the school needed major renovations, which were completed last year. Specialists replaced the roof, repaired the ceilings to eliminate leaks, and updated the lighting on the third floor. The heating system in the basement and kitchen was repaired. The water supply issue was resolved by installing 3,000-liter storage tanks, ensuring a reserve of water even during power outages. This year, the school's stadium is planned to be renovated and the area around the school will be landscaped.

"We've taken on the façade insulation, landscaping, replacing the existing fire protection station with a new one, and renovating the stadium. There will be a football field, play areas, and we'll install hardscape elements," said Alexey Bazhenov, head of the Sakhalin Region working group.

Another stop was Secondary School No. 2, where major renovations are ongoing. Local construction workers are preparing to renovate the gym and dance studio. Students will soon have modern, comfortable spaces for physical education, training, and creative activities. The school cafeteria will also be renovated. "We've taken over the gym, showers, locker room, coaches' rooms, and the dance studio. All of this will allow children to develop and practice sports in a new, modern facility," added Alexey Bazhenov.

"In the city of Shakhtyorsk, a special infrastructure project to restore the area continues to be implemented jointly with the Sakhalin Region. The main focus of this work is the restoration of social facilities, repair of utility infrastructure, and the power, water, and sewerage networks. Repairs to apartment buildings and improvements to our city are also included. Yuri Petrovich Trutnev inspected our joint work. Together with our Sakhalin colleagues, we reported on the progress of the work and plans for the remainder of this year, and demonstrated the repair and restoration work being carried out at two educational institutions. One of them was damaged during the fighting in 2014. A report was also presented on the ongoing repair work at the Yuzhnaya WPS. Yuri Petrovich inquired about the quality and effectiveness of interactions with the regional task force and clarified whether there were any challenges or issues requiring his assistance. "I would like to thank Yuri Petrovich and the Sakhalin Region team for their involvement and support in our city's restoration efforts," noted Alexander Shatov, Head of the Shakhtyorsk Municipal District Administration.

As a reminder, the Far Eastern regions' work to restore social infrastructure in six municipalities of the DPR has been organized in accordance with a decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin since June 2022.

In 2025, social infrastructure restoration work was carried out in 29 settlements of the DPR (with a population of over 227,000) at 227 facilities (including three hospitals, 15 schools, five kindergartens, nine playgrounds and sports grounds, 144,200 square meters of roads, and 10.6 kilometers of water pipelines). More than 31.5 tons of humanitarian aid were sent. 2,421 children were sent for medical and health-improving recreation.

In total, between 2022 and 2025, Far Eastern Federal District entities restored over 1,000 infrastructure facilities in the territories under the DPR's wing. Recreation was organized for over 11,000 children. 1,399 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered.

Dmitry Chernyshenko: The Russian Olympic Committee celebrates its 115th anniversary.

Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Presidential Aide and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports Alexey Dyumin, and Minister of Sport and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev discussed the history of the Russian Olympic movement and its future prospects.

Russia was at the origins of modern Olympism. In 1894, General Alexei Butovsky, a subject of the Russian Empire, became one of the first 13 members of the IOC. In 1900, Russian athletes made their debut at the Paris Games, and in 1908, figure skater Nikolai Panin-Kolomenkin won the country's first gold medal.

"I congratulate the Russian Olympic Committee on 115 years of fruitful work and glorious victories! Today, the ROC continues these traditions: protecting the rights of our athletes, creating conditions for their training, and doing everything possible to advance Russian sport. During this time, we have won 2,006 Olympic medals. This is the result of the perseverance of several generations of our athletes. Behind each medal lies a unique story of fortitude and willpower. We are proud of our winners and are working together to ensure that Russian sport only improves, and that our athletes continue to bring glory to the country on the international stage," emphasized Dmitry Chernyshenko.

In the Russian Empire, the National Olympic Committee was established on March 16 (March 29, New Style), 1911. On this day, the first Chairman of the Committee, Vyacheslav Sreznevsky, was elected at the founding meeting in St. Petersburg. The organization's draft Charter was also adopted on this day.

The USSR team participated in nine Summer and nine Winter Games. The 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo brought our country its first overall team victory.

Since 1994, Russian athletes have competed at the Games under the Russian tricolor.

"Today, despite all the unfair restrictions, Russia remains and will remain a great sporting power. I hope that the principles laid down by the founders of the Olympic movement will once again prevail in the international sports community: sport should be above politics, serve the cause of peace, and unite nations. I congratulate our athletes, coaches, Olympic movement veterans, and sports figures on the 115th anniversary of the Olympic Committee! I wish us all continued victories!" emphasized Alexey Dyumin.

At the Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo Games, our athletes once again proved they can't be "cancelled." Thirteen Russian athletes competed in six sports. Nikita Filippov won silver in ski mountaineering, a sport making its debut at the Games. Skier Saveliy Korostelev took fourth place in the skiathlon, and figure skaters Petr Gumennik and Adelia Petrosyan performed brilliantly. Furthermore, for the first time in 12 years, our Paralympians competed under the national flag in Italy. A total of six athletes won 12 medals, including eight gold. Ultimately, Russia finished in the top three in the overall team standings, behind only China and the United States, whose teams each included 70 athletes.

"The results in Italy demonstrated that Russian sport remains part of the global Olympic movement. The reinstatement of our athletes will continue, we will see even more victories, and the Russian anthem will be heard more frequently at international competitions. The IOC has already lifted restrictions on the participation of Russian juniors in international competitions, the Russian flag is being raised, and the anthem is being played at dozens of European and world championships. Looking forward to the full reinstatement of the Russian Olympic Committee, the Youth Olympic Games in Senegal in the fall of 2026, and the 2028 Olympic Games in the United States, for which we are already preparing the team," noted Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev.

The main national tournament of 2026 will be the Spartakiad of the Peoples of Russia among the strongest athletes. It will be held in August and September in seven Russian regions. More than 9,000 athletes are expected to participate. This will mark the beginning of the Olympic team selection process for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

A large-scale educational project, "Public Procurement: An International Project. Making Way for the Young. St. Petersburg – Minsk. Season 2025–2026," has concluded in St. Petersburg. This initiative, aimed at training highly qualified personnel in the field of public and municipal procurement, brought together over 500 students from four leading universities in the northern capital. Among them was Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, which has been the most active participant in the project for the second year in a row.

The project was implemented by the State Procurement Committee of St. Petersburg in conjunction with the Committee for Civil Service and Personnel Policy of St. Petersburg, the RTS-Tender electronic platform, and the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Republic of Belarus.

As part of the project, students studied the specifics of the public procurement systems in Russia and Belarus, as well as the specifics of regulation at different levels of government. Upon completion of the training, they received certificates from the Republic of Belarus and state-recognized advanced training certificates.

The awards ceremony for the project's winners and finalists took place at Nevsky Town Hall.

The high level of training of the Polytechnic students was noted by members of the expert jury: Elena Egorova, Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee for State Procurement; Igor Murashev, Deputy Chair of the Committee for Civil Service and Personnel Policy; and Nikita Avvakumov, Director of the Northwestern Branch of RTS-Tender. The speakers emphasized that the profession of a public procurement specialist requires a deep knowledge of legislation, strategic thinking, and a creative approach, and that participation in the project gives graduates a significant competitive advantage in employment.

SPbPU students who took prizes in the competitive trials received special recognition:

1st place — Olga Maklakova, 5th-year student of the Economic Security program at the Higher School of Public Administration at IPMEIT 2nd place — Artem Yemelyanov, 1st-year master’s student of the Public and Municipal Administration program at the Higher School of Public Administration at IPMEIT 3rd place — Alexander Yemelyanov, 3rd-year student of the Commodity Science program at the Higher School of Service and Trade at IPMEIT.

SPbPU Rector Andrey Rudskoy and Vice-Rector for Continuing and Pre-University Education Dmitry Tikhonov were awarded letters of gratitude for their active assistance in organizing the project, supporting talented youth, and developing the city's human resources.

The public procurement system is developing dynamically, integrating economic, legal, and digital competencies. In this context, continuing professional education is becoming a key tool for training personnel. At the Polytechnic University, this is being implemented through practice-oriented programs that meet economic needs. The "Make Way for the Young" project is an example of this, strengthening the connection between education and market demands, including the integration of Russia and Belarus, and developing students' skills for working in an interstate context, noted Dmitry Tikhonov.

For St. Petersburg students, participation in the project opens up additional career opportunities. Finalists will be eligible to be included in the St. Petersburg youth talent pool, allowing them to continue their professional careers in contract government services.

International cooperation has become a key component of the project: 10 of the best participants from St. Petersburg will undergo internships in Minsk, while 10 Belarusian students will visit the city on the Neva. The academic exchange program will allow future specialists to immerse themselves in the contractual systems of the two countries and exchange experiences with colleagues.

Our university once again had the largest number of participants. The project brought together students from various fields and levels of study. Participants gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience in city government, the opportunity to join the talent pool, and a unique chance to complete an internship in Minsk. "Our ultimate goal is to help graduates find employment in public procurement in St. Petersburg, and we see that projects like these are successfully achieving this goal," emphasized Marina Ivanova, SPbPU project coordinator, head of the "Public and Municipal Administration" educational program, and associate professor at the Higher School of Public Administration at the Institute of Mechanics, Economics, and Technology.

The "Public Procurement: International Project. Making Way for the Young. St. Petersburg – Minsk" project became a professional training ground for polytechnic students, as well as a launching pad for successful careers, opening up employment opportunities, inclusion in the talent pool, and participation in international internships.
