At the end of February, several competitions of various levels were held – from regional to national – in which our students successfully competed.

The Russian Underwater Sports Cup was held in Kirov, where Alexander Stupak, a student at the Humanities Institute, competed as part of the Novosibirsk Region team. He won a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay.

An interregional fencing tournament was held in Novosibirsk, bringing together over 50 participants from the Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and Omsk regions, as well as Primorsky Krai. Artyom Tsaplin (GGF) and Oleg Tsyplakov (FF) took third place in the team competition as part of the Novosibirsk Region team. Mikhail Trofimov (MMF) also competed.

Athletes from nine organizations and guests from universities in Tomsk and Kemerovo competed for individual championship medals at the Novosibirsk Region Archery Cup among students from higher and vocational education institutions.

Nomina Sanzhieva (NSU) won the classic archery competition, and Margarita Khripko (VKI NSU) won the compound bow category.

The penultimate event of the "Vigor and Health" Spartakiad for faculty and staff of higher education institutions in the Novosibirsk Region—cross-country skiing—was held. Eleven teams participated. The NSU team demonstrated excellent results and took second place, behind only the perennial leaders, the NSTU team.

The winners in the individual championship in different age groups were teachers from the Department of Physical Education:

The winter track and field season is in full swing

Several regional track and field competitions were held at the Koltsovo indoor track and field arena, with NSU students winning various medals.

Nikita Bosak (MMF) – 2nd place in the 400m, 3rd place in the 3000m at the Novosibirsk Region Cup and 3rd place in the 800m and 1500m at the Regional Championship

Arseniy Podosinnikov (FF) – 1st place in the 3000m race and 2nd place in the 1500m race at the Novosibirsk Region Championship among boys under 20 years old and 3rd place in the 3000m distance at the Regional Championship among juniors under 23 years old

Miron Gaskov (FIT) – 1st place (800m run) and 3rd place (400m run) among juniors under 23 years old

Lev Zhukov (MMF) – 2nd place in the 200m and 3rd place in the 60m at the Regional Championship

Ksenia Zubareva (FEN) – 3rd place (800 m run) among juniors under 23 years old

NSU teachers successfully competed in swimming competitions

The Novosibirsk State University of Railway Transport (SUSPS) swimming pool hosted a swimming competition for faculty and staff of higher education institutions in the Novosibirsk Region as part of the "Vigor and Health" Spartakiad. Eleven educational institutions participated. The NSU team performed well, winning four medals in individual events and placing fourth overall, just one point behind the bronze medalists.

The winners in their age categories were: senior lecturer of the KafFV Sergey Timofeev and sports instructors of the USOC Konstantin Rogachev and Yulia Petrovich.

In the 4x50m freestyle relay, bronze medals were won by: teachers Sergei Timofeev and Alexander Sozinov, head of the physical education department Alexey Sokorev, and Konstantin Rogachev.

The team also included: faculty members of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Anna Timofeeva, Ekaterina Bodrova, Anton Pivovarov, and senior lecturer of the Faculty of Information Technologies Ekaterina Tolkacheva.

The prestigious regional competition "ProZapliv" took place at the Armada Sports Complex pool. Strong swimmers and triathletes competed in various categories, including Russian and international Masters of Sport, winners of international Ironman competitions, and even amateur swimmers. Ekaterina Tolkacheva won three medals: gold in the 50m backstroke and two silvers in the 50m breaststroke and 50m front crawl. Master of Sport Yulia Petrovich placed second in the 50m backstroke.

The NSU team took third place in the shooting competition as part of the "Cheerfulness and Health" Spartakiad among faculty and staff of higher education institutions of the Novosibirsk Region! Silver medals in the intercollegiate darts competition

The "Vigor and Health" Spartakiad for faculty and staff of higher education institutions in the Novosibirsk Region continues. The NSU team took second place in the darts competition, which was held using the "Grand Round" system.

In the individual competition, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education Sofia Zakharova took first place with a record score of 419 points!

From January to February, the annual traditional "Cheerfulness and Health" Spartakiad is held among faculty and staff of higher education institutions in the Novosibirsk region. The NSU team won silver in the badminton competition! In a very close final, our athletes lost to the NSTU team 2-3.

NSU is one of the most athletic universities in the region

The Burevestnik student sports society summarized the past year's performance among higher education institutions in the Novosibirsk region. NSU won three categories in the "Elite Student Sports" competition.

Sergei Pavlovich Kostelov, associate professor of the Department of Physical Education, was awarded in the category "For Loyalty to Sport" – he has 54 years of experience in the physical education industry!

Our university has been a clear leader in the categories of "Best Organization of Student Sports Events" and "Best Information Support for Sports Events within a University" for the past several years.

The Physical Education Department's Sports Department and the ENOT Student Sports Club organized nearly 100 different events for students throughout the year, including at the regional level, which took place on our sports grounds with the participation of university teams.

Over the past year, 80 articles about sporting achievements have been published on the NSU website, and approximately 500 announcements, articles, and reports with results and photographs covering the entire sporting life of NSU students and staff have been posted on the Kaffa Sports and Sports Club "ENOT" pages on the VKontakte social network.

For his significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the Novosibirsk region, Anton Mamekov, head of the sports department, was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Sports, and Sergey Timofeev, associate professor at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation.

NSU also received another award—the Cup for third place in the overall team standings at the 48th Universiade in 22 sports. Our teams won six bronze medals, three silver medals, and one gold medal.

Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, teachers, and leadership of the NSU Department of Physical Education on these prestigious awards! This is our collective achievement!

The 49th Universiade of Higher Education Institutions of the Novosibirsk Region has begun, featuring 22 sports. The NSU team took third place in the Winter Athletics Championships!

Static general physical training – endurance competitions

The competition included three static exercises: the "Boat," "Plank," and "Chair." Participants performed each exercise for as long as possible, filmed it, and sent it to the organizers. Results were determined separately for boys and girls based on the combined time for all three exercises.
