The 49th Alexander Nevsky Universiade among students from higher education institutions of the Novosibirsk Region continues. In the judo and powerlifting competitions, the NSU teams finished just shy of the top three finishers, finishing fourth.

In the individual competition, our students won 10 medals.

In judo: 1st place – Karina Kapustyan (FEN) 2nd place – Polina Lobankova (EF) and Ksenia Pogorelova (GGF) 3rd place – Arina Polyachenkova (IFP)

The traditional ski relay race took place in the University Forest as part of the NSU Spartakiade. Representatives from eight faculties, institutes, and the Specialized Educational Scientific Center participated. Men's and combined teams competed in 3×2 km races, while the women's teams ran a 3×1.5 km freestyle race.

The overall standings were calculated based on the combined placings of the two best relay teams, regardless of gender. Students from the NSU Specialized Scientific Center won by one point, with the Faculty of Natural Sciences coming in second, and students from the Faculty of Physics coming in third.

NSU swimmers win medals

At the Novosibirsk Region Underwater Swimming Championships at the Neptune pool, Master of Sports of International Class Andrei Orlov (FF) won the gold as part of the 4x100m relay team. Master of Sports Alexander Stupak (GI) won two silver medals and one bronze medal in various events. Alexander missed the qualifying time for Master of Sports of International Class by 18 hundredths of a second.

The SKA swimming pool hosted the first "SIBERIA H2O" competition in Novosibirsk, where swimmers competed in a 50-meter race featuring unique inflatable obstacles. Humanities student Tatyana Nefedova won the 18-24 age category.

FIT students emerged victorious in the futsal tournament

The Nikolai Petrovich Dyakov Memorial Futsal Competition, part of the NSU Spartakiad program among faculties, institutes, the Specialized Scientific Center, and the VKI, has concluded. Ten teams competed in two subgroups, with the top two advancing to the finals, where the prizes were awarded. In the first-place match, the Faculty of Information Technologies (FIT) defeated the Faculty of Economics (EF) 5-2, and in the third-place match, the VKI defeated the Faculty of Geology (GGF) 6-3.

As a result, the winners were:

The Faculty of Information Technology is the winner of the strength competition

The strength competition, part of the First-Year Student Spartakiad between faculties and institutes, the Specialized Scientific Center and the Higher Institute of Culture, was held, with 80 students participating.

Each participant completed three exercises for maximum results in a set time. The girls performed push-ups, jumped onto a half-meter-high step, and did sit-ups, while the boys performed pull-ups, a 35-kg bench press, and other sit-ups. The individual winners were determined by the combined results of all the exercises.

The winners were:
