The 10th anniversary Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 3–6 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The volume of construction work increased by 107% (ahead of the average Russian indicators by 3.3 times). The Eastern Economic Forum helped the leading development of the Far East, which became one of the effective tools for the development of the Far East. It was created on behalf of the head of state as a platform to attract investments in the macroregion economy and successfully transformed into a complex development tool. Along with traditional economic tasks on the forum, special attention is paid to solving social issues – from programs of affordable housing and preferential mortgage to the development of the urban environment and supporting creative industries. Such an integrated approach demonstrates an effective model of sustainable development of the Far East, where economic dynamics is accompanied by an increase in the quality of life of the population. The Eastern Economic Forum annually unites people who seek to make life in the Far East better. The importance of such interaction is also reflected in the main topic of the VEF this year – “The Far East: cooperation in the name of peace and prosperity”. For ten years, the WEF is an integral part of the business space, where not only stable partnerships and new economic projects have been formed, but also the image of the Russian Far East – modern, technological and comfortable for life. And in this context, the forum, already having deep traditions, is undoubtedly aimed at the formation of the future, ”said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizational Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.

During the EEF, Russian President Vladimir Putin annually outlines the priorities of the international dialogue that is being built within the framework of the Asia-Pacific region, and also formulates instructions aimed at the socio-economic development of the Far East. The forum has become a platform for the formation of comprehensive contacts between interested parties, which are aimed at developing various formats of partnership and cooperation.

A regulatory framework has been created in the Far East that has allowed the introduction of new instruments for the economic development of the region: 87 federal laws, 511 acts of the Government of the Russian Federation, 10 acts of the President of the Russian Federation have been adopted. In addition, 16 territories of advanced development, the free port of Vladivostok and other preferential regimes have been created, the work of which was discussed at the EEF. State infrastructure support for investment projects is in effect. For 2015-2024, investors received compensation for costs incurred in creating infrastructure for the implementation of investment projects in the amount of 59.2 billion rubles with a total investment from investors of more than 2 trillion rubles. The Hectare program is also in effect, thanks to which more than 148.5 thousand people in the Far East have received land.

In addition, on the instructions of the President, a set of unprecedented support measures is being implemented aimed at qualitatively improving the lives of citizens and sustainable development of the macro-region. The "Presidential Unified Subsidy" program made it possible to build and modernize about 2 thousand social facilities, including schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and sports complexes. Particular attention is paid to housing policy: more than 145 thousand families took advantage of the Far Eastern mortgage at 2%, and over 3.8 thousand large families received 1 million rubles each to pay off payments.

Large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented: it is planned to build 137 fishing vessels and 36 fish factories, create an urban agglomeration – a satellite of Vladivostok for 200 thousand residents. An important area has become the development of the creative economy: by 2030, a network of creative clusters with a total area of 100 thousand square meters will appear in the region. These and other initiatives, including the Far Eastern Quarter program, the formation of master plans for the cities of the macroregion and the creation of a single Far Eastern airline, demonstrate the state's comprehensive approach to the development of the Far East, where economic growth is combined with an improvement in the quality of life of the population.

"Behind all the figures, indicators, concluded contracts, agreements signed at the Eastern Economic Forum, behind everything the Russian Government is working on, there is a very clear end goal – people's happiness and improving their quality of life. High-quality education, interesting and highly paid work, the best conditions for buying housing and self-realization, beautiful, comfortable and safe cities, unique nature – we have this and much more in the Far East. The Eastern Economic Forum annually brings together domestic and foreign representatives of government bodies, business, the expert community, and public organizations. The forum is a platform for Russian and foreign investors who determine the directions of economic development in the Far East.

The business events of the EEF-2025 are divided into six thematic blocks: “The Far East – a Territory for Life and Development”, “Recipes for Growth: Investments, Innovations, Integration”, “Openness and Mutually Beneficial Partnership – the Basis of Stability”, “Technologies: from Theory to Economic Effects”, “Cities – for People’s Lives”, and “Arteries of Growth: How Logistics Changes the Economy”.

In Volnovakha, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin opened a monument "In Memory of Road Heroes". It is dedicated to the heroism of workers who, at the cost of their lives, restored strategic transport arteries running through the territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The monument was erected on the initiative of the State Company "Avtodor".

Together with the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and the chairman of the board of "Avtodor" Vyacheslav Petushenko, the Deputy Prime Minister opened a bridge across the Gruzskaya River, which provides transit traffic to Donetsk, Shakhtyorsk, Snezhnoye and further to the LPR. In addition, there is a kindergarten on the route, the restoration of which is being carried out by the sponsor region – the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.

"During the work, we used construction materials from local manufacturers. For example, now during the construction of the Mariupol bypass – I flew around it and inspected how the work was deployed. There, they used the technology of using local slags that had accumulated for decades and were not used. It is important that such solutions not only speed up construction processes, but also increase the tax base, strengthening the regional economy," said Marat Khusnullin.

A program for bringing the Donetsk People's Republic's roads up to standard by 2030 was also signed. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the DPR was the first of the four new regions to carry out such systematic work and prepare a document.

Together with the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the Fund for Development of Territories and the regional team, the Deputy Prime Minister held a separate meeting on water supply issues in the DPR, where they discussed short-term, medium-term and long-term measures that will help stabilize the situation.

"We are fully implementing everything that concerns medium-term measures related to water transfer. The key task at the moment is saving and reducing losses in the networks. Globally, we are faced with the issue of the possibility of building an additional thread of the water pipeline to increase the capacity of the Don-Donbass Canal. We will make a decision and report to the President. Now we need to provide people with drinking water: add water trucks and tanks so that the basic minimum needs of the population are met," added Marat Khusnullin.

In the Lugansk People's Republic, the Deputy Prime Minister familiarized himself with the implementation of the housing construction program.

"I visited the construction site of the residential complex "Aviator". The developer, a participant in the free economic zone, invested its own funds and is financed by large banks. Good pace of construction, networks are connected under the federal program "Stimul". Quite competitive, low price plus mortgage at 2%. The result – out of 220 apartments, 200 have been sold to date, the infrastructure of the area is improving. A new airspace class H ("h") has appeared in Russia, intended for flights of unmanned aerial vehicles. The decree on introducing the corresponding changes to the Federal Rules for the Use of Russian Airspace was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The adopted decision will create conditions for the further development of civil unmanned aviation and ensure flight safety.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the establishment of a separate airspace class to simplify the operations of unmanned aerial systems following a meeting on the development of unmanned aerial systems held on January 28, 2025. "H" became the fourth class in Russian airspace – until now it included classes A, C and G.

Class H is established in the airspace from 0 to 150 m from the earth's (water's) surface and on routes specially designated for flights of unmanned aerial vehicles at altitudes below 3050 m.

On the podium in front of the pavilion there will be a screen on which films dedicated to the natural beauty of Kolyma will be shown, as part of the projects "Far East – Land of Adventure" and "Paths of the Far East", as well as a stele with the name "Magadan Region".

The main site of the region consists of three zones. The first will introduce visitors to the achievements of the Magadan Region in the economic and social spheres over ten years, including projects implemented with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The second will host a demonstration of bone-carving art products of the indigenous peoples of the North living in the region. The small pavilion will introduce guests to the recently opened art space "Rynda" in Magadan, where you can buy re-esterified fish oil – omega-3, which is produced in the capital of Kolyma at the "Omega-Si" plant. The second zone will host an exhibition and sale of jewelry and souvenirs. The third space, "Kolyma – from Victory to Victory", will introduce visitors to facts about the role of Kolyma in the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as its contribution to ensuring the success of the country during the special military operation.

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin made a working visit to the Donetsk People's Republic. In Mariupol, he inspected the Portovik stadium, a new residential complex and a renovated courthouse, and held a meeting on the socio-economic development of the region.

"The judicial system, especially for the development of the reunited regions, is of utmost importance. Therefore, on the instructions of the President, we have made a separate program together with the Supreme Court. And so, step by step, we are repairing and putting in order all such facilities, in order to create conditions for the integration of Donbass and Novorossiya into the legal field of the country, including with the help of infrastructure," said Marat Khusnullin.

The stadium reconstruction is almost complete: the football fields, running tracks, sports grounds and tennis court have been updated, and the martial arts, volleyball and basketball halls have been renovated.

The new residential complex, which was built under the supervision of specialists from the Unified Customer in Construction, has 182 apartments with interior decoration, installed plumbing and kitchen furniture. Residents will begin receiving keys to them in the near future.

During a meeting on issues of socio-economic development of the region, the Deputy Prime Minister heard the construction, financial, industrial, and agricultural blocks.

"I can note that the region has good volumes of housing construction, and we are approving a full-fledged program for roads until 2030. Tax revenues to the regional budget are also at a good level. We will use these funds for additional needs of the region. We also discussed the implementation of the program for capital repairs of houses and restoration of public infrastructure, which is also being carried out under the control of the Territorial Development Fund. We separately discussed the extensive work to stabilize the water supply of the republic," the Deputy Prime Minister added.

At the end of his working visit, Marat Khusnullin, together with the management of the PPC “Territorial Development Fund”, checked the progress of work at one of the most important water supply facilities under construction for the DPR.

"The 17-kilometer water pipeline for transferring water from the Pavlopil reservoir, together with the second such facility – for transferring from Uglegorsk – should lead to the replenishment of almost 40% of the resource. I have instructed to reduce the launch time of the facility, to speed up the delivery of equipment. The issue of water shortage in the DPR is acute, a comprehensive approach is needed to solve this problem," said Marat Khusnullin.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko also addressed the children: "Dear children! The Big Change competition, launched on the initiative of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, is coming to an end. This competition is truly a huge change, because this year it has become part of the national project Youth and Children. It has already united 7 million participants from all over the country. You must understand that you are not just winners here – you have a mission: everything that you have seen and learned here, you must implement in life."

300 winners of the Big Change competition among schoolchildren in grades 5–7 will receive the main prize – a Dream Trip on the Big Change train from Moscow to Vladivostok and back.

"This year we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland is being held at the initiative of the President of Russia. Servicemen of the special military operation, participants of the presidential program "Time of Heroes" handed over the Eternal Flame, lit for the first time in history at the North Pole, to the youth of Russia in memory of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War. And now it is here, in "Artek", at the final of the competition "Big Change". We want every Artek child to share the feeling of pride in our country and preserve the memory of our heroes," said the head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also talked to the finalists of the Big Change competition. Among them are young scientists, media professionals, musicians, winners and prize winners of Olympiads at various levels, and activists of the Movement of the First.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Russia has all the opportunities to realize the potential of children and adolescents, largely thanks to the national project “Youth and Children”.

The guys told Dmitry Chernyshenko about their projects and ideas, covering topics from an inclusive environment to developments to improve the agricultural sector, and also read a poem of their own composition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

An interesting example of the use of artificial intelligence was the project of Semyon Veretennikov from the Belgorod region. Developed for his grandfather, a beekeeper, an interactive hive with AI allows remote monitoring of the condition of bees and control of the hive via messenger.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested integrating Semyon’s idea into the “Berloga” project – a series of useful video games about the world of bear engineers, which teaches schoolchildren to think like programmers, introduces them to technologies and helps them become participants in next-level technology clubs.

Dmitry Chernyshenko also spoke with the first "ambassador of peace" of the USSR, Ekaterina Lycheva, who is often called the Soviet Samantha Smith. In the 1980s, she, like Samantha Smith, became a symbol of children's diplomacy and the desire for peace between the USSR and the USA.

Ekaterina Lycheva spoke about the international children's program "The World of BRICS – the World of the Future", which is currently taking place in Artek. As a result of the program, more than 3,200 Artek children from more than 69 countries will adopt a joint declaration-appeal to all heads of state "For Peace" and invite five children from each country to the International Children's Center "Artek" in 2026.

The Deputy Prime Minister also visited the DNA Isolation laboratory, where technology is used to isolate DNA from various living objects for further genetic research.

The All-Russian competition "Big Change" is the flagship project of the "Movement of the First". The competition is held with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
