In 2025, approximately 10 billion rubles will be allocated for the major repairs of the Rostov-on-Don–Mariupol–Melitopol–Simferopol section of the federal highway R-280 "Novorossiya," which runs through the Donetsk People's Republic and Zaporizhia Oblast. A corresponding order has been signed.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev spoke at the National Center "Russia" at the presentation of the "Arctic Dossier" – Russia's national report for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. In 2025, 15% of all projects awarded grants will focus on preserving and studying the natural environment in the Arctic zone, and the Arctic theme has been designated as a separate competition focus.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the significant role of Russian business. Companies are implementing unique projects to preserve the region's biodiversity, including those of international significance.

Dmitry Patrushev noted that further effective development of this region must be inextricably linked to environmental protection. In the Arctic zone, work is actively underway to eliminate accumulated environmental damage, including clearing landfills and restoring disturbed land. In 2024 alone, reclamation affected more than 6,000 hectares of land, primarily in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

As part of the national "Environmental Well-Being" project, this region plans to implement modern waste management systems, preserve forests, restore water bodies, and reduce hazardous emissions. A total of 12 billion rubles is planned for these purposes.

To develop state environmental monitoring in the Arctic zone, Roshydromet's observation network is being modernized. Furthermore, the scientific expedition fleet is being systematically upgraded.

Ninety years ago, the legendary Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation was founded. Since then, it has become a leader in training highly qualified personnel for the transport industry. And rightfully bears the name of the outstanding military and government figure, Chief Marshal of Aviation Boris Pavlovich Bugayev.

Today, it is one of the country's leading technical higher education institutions. It combines tradition and innovation, unique scientific schools and modern educational technologies. Students have the opportunity to study with renowned professors and instructors, gain flight and simulator training, acquire fundamental knowledge and essential skills, and master their specialty. Importantly, the institute is rapidly developing, opening new departments, including one on the operation of unmanned aircraft systems.

And, of course, it is proud of its graduates, including Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia, honored test pilots, and cosmonauts. This is largely due to the faculty, staff, and veterans of the university—all those who dedicated their lives to serving the skies and the Motherland.
