An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Eight educational institutions with a total area of almost 25 thousand square meters are being built at the expense of investors in the territory of the Eastern Administrative District of the capital. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"Currently, investors are building eight educational facilities in the Eastern Administrative District in the Izmailovo, Metrogorodok, Golyanovo, Perovo and Severnoye Izmailovo districts. The total area of the facilities will exceed 24.8 thousand square meters. In total, they are designed for almost 1,700 places: 250 school and 1,425 preschool. The educational facilities are being built by investors. In the future, they will complement the social infrastructure of the east of the capital, seven of them will become part of the Moscow education system," Vladimir Efimov noted.

The emergence of new educational facilities is an important component of the development of a harmonious urban environment. In each of them, spaces are created for an effective educational process. Thanks to this, parents can choose a school or kindergarten for their children near their home and not spend a lot of time on the road.

"All eight facilities are being built using extra-budgetary funds. Thus, the developer FSK is building an educational complex in Golyanovo with an area of almost 8.4 thousand square meters. It will include a school for 250 children and a kindergarten for 125 preschoolers. Another building is being built by the PIK group of companies in the Metrogorodok area. There, on the territory of a new residential quarter, a kindergarten with a swimming pool will appear, designed for 250 children," said the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital

Vladislav Ovchinsky.

All stages of construction of social facilities are controlled by the capital State Construction Supervision Committee (Moscow State Construction Supervision Authority). According to the head of the department Anton Slobodchikova, since the beginning of the work, inspectors have carried out 27 control and supervision activities at construction sites. Specialists from the subordinate Expertise Center were involved in the on-site inspections to conduct studies of the materials and building structures used for compliance with the approved design solutions.

The area around the buildings is being landscaped, sports and playgrounds are being equipped, trees, bushes and flowers are being planted, and convenient pedestrian paths are being made.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced opening after the reconstruction of school No. 1770.

The construction of social facilities in Moscow corresponds to the goals and initiatives of the national project "Infrastructure for life". You can find out more about this and other national projects being implemented in the capital at special page.

Guests of the Moscow 2030 Forum in Luzhniki will learn how drinking water is prepared

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The capital pays great attention to the water industry – from preparing drinking water to maintaining the biobalance in water bodies. Specialists take care not only of the Moscow River, but also of all small rivers and ponds. They closely monitor the quality of water in drinking sources and test water at all stages of its path to the taps of city apartments.

Find out how the bioplateau zone is structured

Forum visitors "Moscow 2030. Territory of the Future"in the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, visitors can learn more about modern methods of cleaning water bodies, as well as what bioplateau zones are and how they are arranged. On the site of the city economy complex in the Podkova zone, not far from the master class pavilion, there is a life-size model of the capital's pond, where rehabilitation work was carried out. Guests will see what plants are planted in the bioplateau zone and how the gabion reinforcement of the coastal strip is arranged.

An important element of the rehabilitation of the capital's water bodies is the creation of a bioplateau. For this purpose, special zones are allocated in the pond, where aquatic plants are planted. In this way, a unique ecosystem is created that promotes self-purification of water. The bioplateau serves as a shelter for fish and a nesting place for waterfowl.

The most popular plants of the bioplato of Moscow ponds are different types of irises, umbrella russula, narrow-leaved cattail, reed, bulrush and water lilies. All of them not only decorate the surface of the reservoirs, but also prevent the reproduction of algae that cause pond bloom, contribute to the improvement of the ecological balance, as well as self-purification of water from harmful impurities.

Purify the water and assemble the image of the water tower

Specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise Mosvodostok are holding a master class where participants can try themselves in the role of employees of the city economy complex, operating model boats in a special pool.

The City Economy Festival also offers other events that introduce the water industry. In the master class pavilion, visitors assemble limited edition puzzles dedicated to the Moscow water supply system. Last year, it turned 220 years old. The first gravity water supply system opened in 1804, and it laid the foundation for the modern water supply system for about 15 million residents of the Moscow region. Guests are invited to assemble an image of the Krestovsky water towers. This is a key element of the city's 19th-century water supply system that has not survived.

Create your own pipeline

Young forum participants can create their own engineering structure "Pipeline" using special tubes and connecting elements. In doing so, they will learn what a long way water travels from sources through water treatment stations to the taps of Moscow apartments.

Today, there are about 13 thousand kilometers of water supply networks in the capital. Water quality is monitored along its entire path from the source to the consumer. More than 500 automatic analyzers help monitor this — they are installed at water treatment stations and in the distribution network. And also — in-house laboratories, which are located at all four water treatment stations. Moscow water is analyzed based on the maximum number of physical, chemical and biological indicators — 200 in total.

In addition, the site has tanks from Mosvodokanal JSC with drinking water, which anyone can try.

Biometric payment is now available at all turnstiles on the Zamoskvoretskaya and Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro lines

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

You can now pay for travel using biometrics at all turnstiles on the Zamoskvoretskaya and Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro lines. The service is available at 792 payment devices for passage. Previously, the possibility of paying by biometrics was only available at two or three turnstiles at each station.

"Sergey Sobyanin has instructed to connect all metro turnstiles to the biometric payment system by the end of 2025. The service is already working on all payment equipment for passage on 13 lines. And the total number of metro turnstiles where payment by facial recognition is available has exceeded three thousand. In 2026, we will connect the turnstiles of all Moscow Central Diameters stations to the system so that paying for travel is just as convenient and safe," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry

Maxim Liksutov.

You can connect the biometric payment function after registering in the application "Moscow Metro". The user needs to log into their personal account, take a photo of their face and link a bank card to pay for travel. The neural network converts the image into a unique biometric key consisting of a set of encrypted symbols. The original photo cannot be restored.

To enter the station, you need to go to the turnstile marked with a black sticker and look into the camera located on it. The device will detect your face in the frame and generate a biometric key. Then the neural network will compare it with the key from the database in one second. If they match, the doors will open. The fare of 63 rubles will be debited from the passenger's account automatically.

Biometric payment was launched at all metro stations in 2021. Moscow is the leader in the number of types of transport where this payment instrument is available. You can pay for travel using biometrics in the metro, on the Moscow Central Circle, on Aeroexpress trains, on regular river routes and on some stations of the Moscow Central Diameters. Today, this payment method is used about 170 thousand times every weekday, and more than 500 thousand people are registered in the system.

Innovative laboratory and research complexes, an atrium and a modern media library – this is how one of the buildings now looks School No. 1770 in the Nagatinsky Zaton area. Updated according to the program "My school" the building opened September 1stIn total, 51 capital schools opened their doors on the first day of autumn after complete reconstruction.

In modern educational spaces, children can realize their talents and master new technologies, because every element, from interior details to classroom equipment, is thought out for the comfort and comprehensive development of children.

"The My School project does not simply change educational spaces, but creates high-quality and technological conditions for learning and creativity. And in the coming years, the program will allow us to bring all schools that are morally and physically outdated into a modern educational form. Today, 100 buildings are already under renovation, which will welcome students in September 2026," she noted.

Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

mos.ru correspondents visited school No. 1770 and found out what it looked like after the reconstruction.

School of the Future

In the Nagatinsky Zaton district, there are nine buildings of school No. 1770: four for schoolchildren and five for preschoolers. The reconstructed building is located at 56 Nagatinskaya Embankment. More than 800 children from first to 11th grade study here.

The typical school building consists of two multi-level buildings connected by a two-story covered passage. The light façade with turquoise accents looks modern and expressive. The specialists also repaired the roof, all utility lines, replaced windows and doors, installed a ramp and landscaped the school yard. Now it is decorated with pergolas, playgrounds and sports grounds, neatly trimmed lawns and wooden benches.

"At the end of May last year, this building was closed for reconstruction, and students were temporarily transferred to other buildings. Thanks to the redevelopment, additional space appeared, and this year we accepted 180 more students than before. The interior design was done according to the uniform standards of the My School program, the educational space became modern and technological," says the director of school No. 1770, Honored Teacher of Russia Mikhail Goremykin.

The Main Thing Is Support. How Curators, Mentors, and Education Advisors Work in Moscow SchoolsMore than 150 thousand Muscovites attended open days at renovated capital schools

Recreation islands and laboratory research complexes

The tour starts from the right four-story building. The first floor is reserved for the elementary school, the second floor is for fourth- and fifth-graders, and the upper floors are for seniors. The teachers lead us along the corridors with suspended ceilings with loft-style acoustic panels and LED lamps. Between the classrooms there are cozy recreation areas with round poufs, armchairs with soundproof soft panels, and sofa houses. To help children spend their leisure time usefully, there are marker boards on the walls. The usual coolers have been replaced with stylish drinking fountains, and drawers with combination locks have been installed for the students' personal belongings.

The dining room on the first floor has changed beyond recognition, it is now a dining hall: arched openings have added light and space. The guys can come here not only for hot lunches, but also for pastries and the legendary pizza, which many graduates remember.

The universal classrooms, located on both sides of the corridor, are equipped with desks and ergonomic chairs that correct posture. Traditional blackboards have been replaced with interactive panels with LED lamps. Now it is possible to conduct foreign language, computer science and natural science lessons in classrooms with transformable partitions. They allow two groups to study simultaneously without interfering with each other.

"The school also has specialized classrooms equipped depending on the profile. And modern laboratory and research complexes equipped with digital and stereoscopic microscopes, 3D printers and all the necessary equipment will allow students to work on their own projects and conduct scientific experiments," says Ekaterina Kuleshova, curator of engineering classes at School No. 1770.

By the start of the school year, the grounds of more than 60 educational institutions in Moscow have been improvedSobyanin presented new digital solutions at the Moscow Electronic School

Universal gyms, machines and constructors

The reconstruction under the city program "My School" takes into account all the details of the modern educational process. The stairs were equipped with multi-level chrome railings, convenient navigation was placed on each floor, and the windowsills in the corridors became wide and functional. Now you can prepare for lessons, read a book or work with a tablet on them.

But the main value of the renovated school is in the equipment of classrooms and the additional educational opportunities that have appeared thanks to this. Thus, the technology room on the first floor has been completely transformed. Now it resembles an engineering laboratory – with voluminous black suitcases on tables with a metal coating and stylish safe-tables.

"From the sets in these suitcases, you can assemble eight types of machines: a lathe, a drilling machine, a grinder, a woodworking machine, a milling machine, and others. And in the boxes by the left wall of the room are metal construction sets for fourth-graders. With their help, children will learn to use basic tools: a screwdriver, pliers, and wrenches," says Nikolai Slepnev, a technology teacher at School No. 1770.

We move to the neighboring three-story building. In addition to classrooms, on the second floor there are gymnastics and sports halls with safe soft walls, non-slip surfaces, basketball hoops and all kinds of equipment – from gymnastics to step platforms.

"The school has been renovated so well, you can't even recognize it! My sister, my eldest son, and I all studied here, and now my daughter Varvara has started third grade. I'm glad they did everything for the children after the reconstruction," says Tatyana Frolova, the mother of a nine-year-old student at School No. 1770.

Lectures on psychology for parents are being held in renovated Moscow schoolsA large educational complex with a sports center will appear in the Moskvorechye-Saburovo district

Atrium and modern media library

The usual assembly hall has been transformed into a multifunctional atrium. Instead of spectator chairs, wide wooden benches of the "amphitheater" type have been installed here, and the stage has been made at the same level with the floor, marking its boundaries with a semicircular curtain. In such a modern space, it is convenient not only to give concerts and show performances, but also to hold seminars, lectures, organize film screenings and other events.

The main pride of the renovated school was the media block, which occupied the entire third floor of the building. It housed two classrooms equipped with modern computers, video cameras, projectors, microphones and other equipment, as well as a spacious media library. For the convenience of students, noise-proof booths resembling telephone booths were installed in it. Each of them has a laptop with Internet access.

According to Irina Marenkova, a teacher in the media class at School No. 1770, future journalists, directors, and presenters can make podcasts, voice over and edit videos, write longreads and posts for social networks here without interference or distracting noise.

"My two sons have entered the first and fifth grades. The impressions of the school are amazing: I myself would like to sit at these desks and study on such equipment. The level of teachers here is appropriate. Children will go to such a school with joy," says Muscovite Maria Chesnokova.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The city-appointed operators will redevelop seven sites under the integrated development of territories (IDT) program in the Western Administrative District. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

"In the Western Administrative District of the capital, KRT operators are reorganizing inefficiently used territories with an area of 20.6 hectares. The urban development potential of the sites allocated for redevelopment, located in eight districts, is 552.2 thousand square meters of real estate, including housing, social and public-business infrastructure facilities. As a result, balanced urban spaces will be formed, where people will be able to receive the necessary services and find work near their home," said Vladimir Efimov.

The plots are located in the areas of Dorogomilovo, Novo-Peredelkino, Ramenki, Solntsevo, Troparevo-Nikulino, Prospekt Vernadskogo, Filevsky Park and Fili-Davydkovo. They have well-developed infrastructure, including transport, which makes the projects even more attractive.

"Part of the housing – over 278 thousand square meters – is intended for the implementation of the renovation program. The total area of apartments in new buildings will be 169.8 thousand square meters. This will provide new housing for about 6.9 thousand city residents. In turn, 139.7 thousand "squares" will be the area of educational facilities and public and business infrastructure. The city has set deadlines for the implementation of each of the seven projects: depending on the development parameters and the total amount of work, they vary from three to eight years," said the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital's Department of Urban Development Policy
