On July 31, 2025, the State University of Management was visited on a working visit by the Deputy Chairman and Head of the Executive Committee of the All-Russian public organization "Business Russia", a graduate of the State University of Management, Nonna Kagramanyan.

At the beginning of the visit, the rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroyev and the vice-rector Maria Karelina introduced the guest to the technical capabilities of the Media Center and the developments of the Engineering Project Management Center.

As a former employee of VGTRK, Nonna Kagramanyan especially highly appreciated the Jalinga studio and noted its wide opportunities for promoting educational programs and any other media projects. The guest also liked the more familiar interior design studio, where materials for the school entrepreneurship Olympiad for the united company Wildberries and Russ are currently being recorded. As Vladimir Stroyev noted, three online master's courses have already been recorded in the interior design studio during the short time of its operation.

Vladimir Filatov, Director of the Center for Management of Engineering Projects at the State University of Management, spoke about the main areas of work of the Center, the activities of the inter-university student design bureau, and showed prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Vladimir Stroyev paid special attention to the inter-university design bureau, which won the first specialized competition from the Ministry of Education and Science. The rector noted that the current project of the State University of Management surprised the expert committee, which did not expect something like this from a management university, because at the moment this is the only such experience in Russia.

Vladimir Filatov shared the design bureau's work scheme, in which young scientists and students perform design work, and GUU also plays the role of integrator of the entire inter-university network. In less than a year, students digitized more than 3,000 drawings ordered by TMH Engineering. The director of the engineering center reported high customer satisfaction from cooperation with GUU, as this allowed them to unload their staff engineers, while the students receive the necessary practical work experience from completing the order.

Summing up what she saw in a conversation with the rector, GUU graduate Nonna Kagramanyan sincerely rejoiced at the successes of her native university: “You listen – and you are filled with pride. You have a whole world here, a whole world.”

Moving to a more practical plane, Nonna Sayadovna put forward her proposals. First. Taking into account the high demand of businesses for the services of engineers, Delovaya Rossiya is ready to promote the scheme of work of student design bureaus tested at SUM, as well as manually send information about the finished developments of SUM to its partners. Second. For more systematic work, Delovaya Rossiya expects SUM to provide a list of the capabilities of the student design bureau in the form of a presentation for distribution to the partners of the organization, with the purpose of concluding agreements between them and SUM. Third. Through its production partner, Delovaya Rossiya will facilitate the start of serial production of the prototypes available at SUM. Fourth. Delovaya Rossiya asks to provide presentation materials and production conditions of the SUM Media Center for the possible resumption of the project of programs "Business Russia" together with the TV channel "Russia 24".

In addition, Nonna Kagramanyan discussed with the management of the State University of Management plans to create an Advanced Engineering School, new youth laboratories, additional classes in the Pre-University, as well as methodological opportunities for accelerated training of engineering personnel.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

There have been more frequent cases of fraudulent actions aimed at illegally obtaining funds from individuals, in particular, applicants and their legal representatives submitting documents for admission to higher education institutions online.

Beware of fake sites!

Fraudsters place fake websites of higher education institutions on the Internet. Fake websites almost completely repeat the style, design and content of the main pages of official websites of higher education institutions.

Also, fake websites additionally host electronic payment systems that accept funds for services of higher education institutions (priority entrance examinations, payment of entrance fees, payment for trial testing services, etc.).

At the same time, fake sites may contain personal account services, services that implement online testing, as well as other services and forms that mislead potential victims.

In addition, scammers may enter into correspondence with a potential victim via email and telephone, offering to use paid services.

Happy Baptism of Rus' Day!

Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Official website of the State –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Today is an important state memorial date – the Day of the Baptism of Rus. It has been officially celebrated since 2010 on the day of remembrance of the great equal-to-the-apostles Prince Vladimir, during whose reign this significant event took place.

According to the Tale of Bygone Years, Prince Vladimir was baptized in 988 in the Church of St. Basil in Korsun, also known as modern-day Chersonesos. This allowed him to enter into a dynastic marriage with Anna, the sister of the Byzantine Emperor Basil II the Bulgar Slayer.

Historically, the adoption of Christianity in Rus' was due to a number of important reasons. Neighboring states already professed Christianity, and international relations began to require a change in the cultural paradigm. Monotheism was also useful within the East Slavic lands, as it allowed them to unite according to the principle of "one state, one prince, one God."

The baptism of Rus did not happen in one day; on July 28, only Prince Vladimir himself and his retinue were baptized. Decades passed before the new faith spread throughout Rus. It gave the country an incentive for spiritual, cultural and political development. The result was the unification of the Slavic principalities, which became the foundation for the formation of the largest state in the world – the Russian Federation.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On July 24-27, 2025, the forum “KVN as a resource for the development of creative economies in the region” was held in the city of Kaliningrad. The organizer of the forum was the Methodological Center for the Study and Strengthening of the KVN Movement in Higher Education Institutions of the State University of Management.

Let us recall that the Methodological Center was established at the beginning of the year by a decision taken at the IV All-Russian Forum “KVN – School of Leaders” in the city of Sochi.

On July 24, a seminar-meeting for the organizers of the KVN movement from the universities of the Northwestern Federal District was held in the Youth House of Kaliningrad, where current issues of the KVN movement in the region were discussed. Colleagues exchanged experiences and set new goals for further development.

On July 27, the final plenary session was held, where the invited guests and speakers were: – Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova (online); – Minister of Youth Policy of the Kaliningrad Region Anna Musevich; – Minister of Youth Policy of the Stavropol Territory Vyacheslav Korshun; – Rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroyev; – Vice-Rector of the State University of Management Pavel Pavlovsky; – Advisor to the Rectorate of the State University of Management Sergey Chuyev; – Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Olga Terno; – General Director of TTO "AMiK" Alexander Maslyakov; – General Director of the Knowledge Center "Mashuk" Anton Serikov; – Deputy Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Yulia Prozorova; – Director of the Project Office for the Development of Youth Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Organizations Olga Serebryannikova; – Producer of KVN projects Artur Tumanyan.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Olga Petrova reported that there are more than 60 official KVN leagues operating throughout the country, where thousands of participants play, and this is a significant resource for educating young people.

Rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroev noted that KVN is a real school of leaders that educates future talents in all spheres of life.

The forum demonstrated for the first time the methodology for assessing the maturity of the KVN movement in higher education institutions, developed by the Methodological Center for the Study and Strengthening of the KVN Movement. The methodology is based on three key elements: the ability to develop the KVN movement at the university, the ability to organize the correct resource provision, the university's ability to use KVN for the socio-economic development of the region, that is, to implement the third mission of the university. The forum participants decided to finalize this methodology for work along the lines of Rosmolodezh.

We thank all forum participants and wish them further success.
