Today, we also help students develop entrepreneurial thinking, for example, through project-based learning, meetings with successful businessmen, master classes, and so on," noted Vladimir Stroyev.

During the conversation, the parties discussed possible vectors of cooperation and agreed on a future meeting.

The State University of Management invites students to take part in the Russian Cybersecurity Week, which will be held in Moscow from November 17 to 23, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

On August 11, applications for presentations will open on nine tracks in the field of business and technology: AI

The event will traditionally bring together industry leaders, representatives of government bodies and industry regulators, heads of key organizations, specialists and leading experts in cybersecurity.

The week will include business, public and educational projects in the field of cybersecurity with a wide audience of specialists.

Russian Cybersecurity Week will unite various formats – from traditional business communications to art projects. The following events are planned as part of the event:

SOC Forum, which will provide a platform for professional communications and exchange of experience; Educational art project "Cyberculture" on the streets of Moscow, cultural art spaces, museums, in transport, which will combine art and cyber hygiene; Studio "Cyberbez TV" – a bright news digest and event stream, which announces and reveals in detail all the key events of the Russian Cybersecurity Week, and also collects all the content in a single stream; The project "Cyberbez-likbez" focused on working with the student community. Students will also be able to take part in open door events in the offices of leading technology companies in the field of cybersecurity.

The goal of the Cyberbez-likbez project is to educate young people in the field of cybersecurity and to promote career building in this area through open lectures and thematic workshops. The project provides students with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, get acquainted with current trends and challenges of the industry, as well as discuss with experts practical aspects and specifics of work in the field of cybersecurity, develop professional skills and establish contacts for building a future career.

Let us recall that in 2024, the SOC Forum went beyond one event (3 days of thematic program, 151 reports, 8,000 specialists and experts in the field of cybersecurity, 86 partner companies) and was held as part of the most significant business event in the information security industry, Cybersecurity Week, covering several sites in Moscow.

A young scientist from the State University of Management has become a finalist in the All-Russian competition of research works of students and postgraduates, which is being held as part of the 10th All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum “Science of the Future – Science of the Young”.

Nikita Akinshin, a postgraduate student at the State University of Management, presented a research project entitled “Research and development of a conceptual architecture of an operational ML component for a hybrid decision support system in transport logistics” within the “Engineering Sciences” section.

Over the past few years, GUU has been actively working on developing engineering competencies: it implements scientific projects and educational programs aimed at ensuring the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation in order to achieve the technological sovereignty of the state. The university is developing new relevant scientific areas, in particular in the field of artificial intelligence and transport logistics.

A total of 3,000 applications from young scientists from 438 universities and research organizations were submitted to the research paper competition. Based on the results of an independent examination, 350 projects in 10 scientific areas were approved, the authors of which were selected to participate in the second stage of the competition.

The final stage of the competition will be held from September 23 to 26, 2025 in Saratov at the Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. Participants will present their research in the format of oral sessions to leading experts.

"Science of the Future — Science of the Young" is a key project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia to support talented youth, which helps to reveal the potential of young scientists and stimulates the development of scientific research in the country. The competition is aimed at forming the professional orientation of future researchers and developing the skills of public speaking and presentations of scientific achievements. The event is included in the "Science of Winning" initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology.

The State University of Management announces an internal competition for applicants for the Gazprombank scholarship.

In accordance with the agreement between Gazprombank and GUU, three of the best students of our university receive personal scholarships from the bank.

Students in senior years of bachelor's and master's programs focused on training specialists for work in the banking sector who have demonstrated high results in their academic and scientific activities are invited to participate.

The competition takes place in several stages:

Until August 20, all interested persons can submit applications by filling out a special form with an attached questionnaire. Then, at least 15 questionnaires of the best candidates will be transferred to the Gazprombank HR Department. From September 8 to September 21, 2025, the selected candidates will fill out their profiles on the vcv.ru website.

Based on the results of the selection, the three best students will be invited to Gazprombank for a ceremonial awarding of scholarships.

On August 6, 1906, Olimpiada Vasilievna Kozlova was born. She headed our university for more than 35 years and is rightfully considered the founder of management education in Russia.

Olimpiada Vasilievna began her career at the age of 10 in the Pokrovskaya artel of fishermen. Later she worked as a turner at a factory, secretary of the village council, was elected secretary of the Moskvoretsky district committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), and at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War she carried out a special task to form the Moscow divisions of the people's militia.

In 1950, Olimpiada Vasilievna was appointed rector of the Moscow Engineering and Economics Institute named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze (now the State University of Management). Olimpiada Vasilievna set the task of reorganizing the training of engineers and economists into the training of management personnel, which was implemented.

In 1966, it was at MIEI that the first domestic department on the fundamentals of management theory and practice was created, with Olimpiada Kozlova as its permanent head.

In 1969, for its great labor services to the state and society, MIEI was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and in 1975 it was transformed into the first Moscow Institute of Management in the Soviet Union.

Today, GUU retains the title of the leading management university in the country and carefully preserves the historical memory of its heritage. Olympiada Kozlova played a vital role in the development of our university, laying the foundation for both the management approach in education and the unique campus in the South-Eastern Administrative District. Today, we would like to once again express our gratitude to Olympiada Vasilyevna for her undeniable contribution, dedication to her work and endless courage.

Representatives of the State University of Management visited the production facilities of Air Magistral, one of the leading Russian developers and manufacturers of innovative solutions for ensuring road safety. The company has 24 registered patents and more than 100 products with proven effectiveness in reducing road accidents.

The delegation of the State University of Management included Vice-Rector Maria Karelina, Director of the Engineering Project Management Center Vladimir Filatov, Deputy Director of the Center Dmitry Nikitin and specialist Vladimir Kutkov.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the First Deputy General Director of the AIR-Magistral Company, Alexander Makhnovsky. The participants learned about advanced production practices and discussed prospects for cooperation in research and education. The parties paid special attention to issues of joint research activities. The Air Magistral Company is an anchor resident of the Mosgormash Technopark, which opens up additional opportunities for joint innovative developments.

During the tour of the enterprise, the delegation of the State University of Management got acquainted with the full production cycle of products, including road signs, traffic lights, light signaling equipment, as well as with a special combined road machine "Ilya Muromets". The meeting participants noted the high level of automation and strict quality control at all stages of production. Of particular interest was the patented technology that allows the production of luminous road signs only 4 millimeters thick.

The University expresses its gratitude to the Vice President, Head of the Executive Committee of Delovaya Rossiya Nonna Kagramanyan and the Deputy of the Moscow City Duma, founder of the AIR Group of Companies Alexey Kuchmin for the opportunity to apply the competencies of the University scientists to solve applied problems of the enterprise of the real sector of the economy, to strengthen the project component in the training of personnel and to unite science and production to achieve the strategic goal of technological leadership of Russia.

The State University of Management invites students to take part in the “Media Generation” project, aimed at supporting talented young people who want to develop in the media field.

Following the competition, 30 finalists will be able to create their own projects under the guidance of experienced mentors, including representatives of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, chief editors of media outlets, heads of press services, Olympic champions, film producers and communications experts.

The project covers five areas:

"Science"; "Culture"; "Sport"; "History"; "Media Communications Management".

Participants will receive training from the First Media Academy Institute and practicing teachers, develop concepts for their projects and present them to the jury. The best works will receive support from mentors, and their authors will receive diplomas for completing the program.

A meeting with the Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Vitaly Vovk, took place at the State University of Management.

Vice-Rector Maria Karelina, Director of the Engineering Project Management Center Vladimir Filatov and young scientists of the university spoke with the former Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.

The meeting was devoted to current issues of expanding integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The central topic was the development of cooperation between manufacturers and suppliers of components from the EAEU member states to create innovative types of equipment.

Particular attention was paid to the development of unified digital platforms for agricultural machinery – participants discussed the prospects for using global positioning systems, monitoring agricultural land, collecting climate data and analyzing soils on tractors and combines produced at enterprises in the EAEU countries.

The parties also considered the application of reverse engineering in mechanical engineering as an important factor in achieving the technological sovereignty of the Eurasian Economic Union.

In relation to the development of human resources, mechanisms for interaction in the field of training and advanced training of specialists for key industries of the EAEU countries were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the need to jointly address issues of digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence in industrial enterprises.

At the end of the meeting, the possibilities of using financial assistance mechanisms for the implementation of joint projects were discussed, which will become an additional incentive for strengthening economic ties within the EAEU.

On August 1, 2025, the results of the selection for the All-Russian project "Professional Team of the First" were announced, the correspondence stage of which is carried out by the State University of Management together with the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First".

The project is a comprehensive professional development program, in which about 3,000 curators of primary branches of the “First Movement” at universities and colleges, responsible for educational work and youth policy, students aged 16 to 25 years old, participate in the correspondence stage.

The correspondence stage will be held in the format of an online course on the topic: "Management of the primary branch of the "First Movement" based on an educational organization." As part of the course, project participants will undergo training with mandatory study of disciplines, midterm testing and complete project work. Successful completion of the correspondence course gives the right to participate in the competitive selection for full-time training – participation in forums that will be held in eight federal districts of the Russian Federation.
