On December 12 and 13, young scientists from the State University of Management participated in the IV All-Russian Forum of Technological Entrepreneurship "TechPred-2025," organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform's flagship event featured a packed program focusing on support measures and accelerating the market entry of startups that meet national technology priorities.

At the sessions, government, academic, and business representatives, investors, and young entrepreneurs discussed the roadmap for the federal "Technology" project, university cooperation with leading industry companies, the creation of a startup ecosystem, successful technology transfer models, and prospects for transforming the technology industry in the face of global challenges.

The SMU business program was represented by Dmitry Rogov, Director of the Business Incubator; Anna Sotnikova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Junior Research Fellow in the Scientific Activities Department of the Scientific Research Coordination Office; Vladimir Kutkov and Nikita Akinshin, specialists from the Engineering Project Management Center; and Mikhail Zorin, winner of the 2025 Student Startup competition and resident of the Academy of Innovators.

The central event of the TechPred-2025 forum was the plenary discussion "The Superposition Principle: Towards a Technological Breakthrough by Joining Efforts."

The event was opened by Antony Shvindt, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Government Commission for Scientific and Technological Development of Russia, who read a welcoming speech from Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Following this, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, addressed the forum's guests:

"Since 2022, the number of participants, including young entrepreneurs, investors, and university representatives, has quadrupled. Most of the people brought together by the forum today are active participants in the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform" program. You are, in many ways, shaping the culture of technological entrepreneurship in modern Russia. Thanks to your coordinated teamwork, nearly 5,000 startups have registered with the Platform over the past three years, with total revenue exceeding 2.8 billion rubles."

At a plenary session featuring Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Olga Petrova and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Maxim Kolesnikov, experts discussed the prospects for the development of the federal "Technology" project, the role of the ITC in implementing technological cooperation maps, stimulating demand for university startups from corporations and large industrial companies, and current support measures and tools for motivating young scientists, engineers, and technology entrepreneurs to engage in innovative activities.

A reunion of alumni from the Project Management Department was held at the State University of Management to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the birth of Mark Lvovich Razu, one of the founders of the Russian project management school.

The event brought together more than 180 graduates who graduated from GUU from 1986 to 2024.

The meeting began with a "mock lecture" in the regular classroom, where department professors asked questions on their subjects, and the graduates competed to recall the correct answers faster than anyone else. Students also had the opportunity to show off their erudition in an intellectual quiz and a "Guess the Professor" contest based on real-life facts.

In addition, graduates left their "apple" on the "Tree with Golden Fruits," sharing stories of their life's greatest achievements with classmates and teachers.

"I am very grateful to my mentors who helped me unlock my potential during my studies and guide me on my career path. After defending my thesis, I realized I was ready to open my own speech therapy center and realize everything I had planned in my thesis. Eight years have passed, and today I am a successful entrepreneur who has realized my dream and is working in a field that brings joy to me and my clients," shared Lyudmila Myakisheva, a 2017 graduate of the Project Management Master's program.

"I'd like to give advice to current students of the department and those interested in enrolling in the Project Management program: don't miss your opportunity! Five years after graduating, I understand how important it is to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the department and SUM. Today, I'm the CEO of the only company in Russia that provides payment equipment and digital menus for the restaurant industry, and I continue to collaborate with the department as a partner. I'm happy to take on young interns, and if they perform well, I'll hire them full-time," said Danila Tymchik, a 2020 bachelor's degree graduate of the Project Management department.

The "Project Management Department Alumni Reunion" was organized by third-year students of the Project Management Department. Under the supervision of Ekaterina Khalimon, they meticulously planned the event, worked with partners and contractors, maintained extensive communications with alumni, worked on the design and decoration, organized the venue, and hosted the reunion itself. The alumni noted the team's timely communication about all the details of the event before it began and expressed their gratitude to project manager Kamilla Magomedova.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

On December 10, 2025, a ceremony summing up the results of the "Symbols of Eurasian Integration" competition, organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission, was held in Moscow.

The competition became the first systematic mechanism for selecting projects demonstrating the practical implementation of Strategy 2025 and strengthening cooperative ties between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.

In 2025, winners were announced in eight categories. These included projects in transportation, digital solutions, high technology, tourism, and financial services. The initiatives spanned a wide range of areas, from networked manufacturing to new modes of transport and advanced materials.

The State University of Management, as one of the coordinators of the scientific and educational consortium of the Eurasian Network University (ENU), presented the results of its work as part of the alliance and educational initiatives for the development of human capital in the EAEU.

The ESU project was recognized as the winner in the "Human Capital" category. Experts noted the creation of a common educational space among the five countries, the development of joint programs, student and faculty mobility, and the development of human resources solutions for the Union's future economy.

Dmitry Bryukhanov, Head of the ESU Secretariat and Vice-Rector of the State University of Management, emphasized that the consortium's victory reflects the growing need in the Union countries for modern educational practices and management training tools.

The role of the State University of Management in the project phase of integration

The university made a significant contribution by organizing and participating in the 3rd Forum of the ESU Scientific and Educational Consortium, which was held at Osh State University. The forum included strategic sessions, joint meetings, and an international scientific and practical conference aimed at developing scientific and academic initiatives in the EAEU.

It was these developments of the State University of Management that formed the basis of the ESU application, which was recognized as the best in one of the most significant nominations of the competition.

Education, science and technology as a unified system

The State University of Management actively participates in the development of institutional solutions for scientific and technological cooperation among the EAEU states.

In 2025, the university submitted proposals to establish an Association of Scientists, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs, the "EAEU Center for Innovative Technologies." The initiative aims to expand cooperation between universities, research organizations, and enterprises, as well as to implement new projects in technology and scientific research.

This work is fully consistent with the goals of the "Symbols of Eurasian Integration" competition: its focus is on technological sovereignty, startup development, strengthening scientific infrastructure, and the formation of integrated educational standards.

SUM strengthens its position in the Eurasian educational space

The recognition of ESU as the winner of the competition underscores the importance of SUM's systemic educational work. The university plans to expand joint programs, strengthen international cooperation, and promote new scientific and educational initiatives at the Union level.

The State University of Management will continue to work on developing human capital, supporting technological cooperation, and shaping an innovative environment that will shape the future of Eurasia.
