The matte black body with bright red "MCD" letters and a shiny "100" makes the train a true metropolitan art object. Inside, passengers enjoy maximum comfort, complemented by the mint-colored interior.

It is emotion, style and a symbol of how Moscow transport sets the standards for the future.

"The 100th Ivolga is a special train. Passengers have been eagerly awaiting its arrival, and today it hit the roads. It is a symbol of the development of Moscow transport, a combination of engineering, design, and passenger comfort. Moscow Metro – The first section of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line is completely completed

The tunnel boring machine “Sofia” has successfully completed the excavation of the second, left, transfer tunnel from the Zvenigorodskaya station under construction to the underground dismantling chamber at “Shelepikha”, which previously operated as part of the BCL.

The shield traveled 348 meters in difficult geological conditions. It took him less than three months to do this.

"Sofia" has already laid the right tunnel on this section. The metro builders covered part of the way by mountainous means – practically manually, using small mechanization equipment.

With the completion of these works, the entire mechanized tunneling from Shelepikha to Bulvar Generala Karbysheva, 4.8 km long, is complete. Both new tunnels will be integrated with the existing tunnels.

Earlier, the Natalie and Victoria boards made their first stop as part of the construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line between the Zvenigorodskaya and Narodnoye Opolchenie stations, and then to Bulvar Generala Karbysheva.

The first section of the line under construction is planned to be put into operation next year.

Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya will become the 17th line of the capital's metro. It will connect the Moscow-City business district and the SberCity smart district. The line will have 12 stations, and we plan to extend it to Krasnogorsk in the future.

Moscow Metro Tests Neurovoice in Audio Messages

Artificial intelligence is being gradually introduced into the capital's transport system. For example, since the beginning of the year, the neural network has been helping the chatbot Alexander answer passengers' questions. Now, as part of a pilot project, AI will help Moscow metro announcers in their work.

Moscow metro tests neurovoice in audio messages.

As Maxim Liksutov explained, audio information is one of the most important ways of communicating with passengers. Sometimes something changes in the metro: an escalator is closed for repairs or trains take a different route. An announcement must be promptly prepared for each situation. Neurovoice will help solve this problem in a matter of minutes.

The required audio file can be created remotely. Specialists only need to: 1) prepare the text; 2) upload it to the program; 3) adjust the voice – select the timbre, intonation and length of pauses. It is noteworthy that the AI was trained on real recordings of metro announcers.

The neurovoice testing will take place on the Sokolnicheskaya line, where there are many transfers to the Moscow Central Circle, Moscow Central Diameters, other metro lines, bus and railway stations. Komsomolskaya is also located here, the leading station in terms of the number of transport infrastructure facilities announced by the announcers.

Voices in neural processing allow creating prompt audio announcements in the uniform style of Moscow transport. After the pilot launch of the technology on the Sokolnicheskaya line, a decision will be made on its further use in the metro and beyond. In this case, the wishes of passengers will be taken into account. The Moscow metro continues to implement the most modern digital services, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, noted Maxim Liksutov.

Moscow Metro – Russia has made its first payment in digital rubles as part of a smart contract for insuring the capital’s driverless tram.

As Maxim Liksutov explained, the transaction was successfully completed in pilot mode between the insurance group "SOGAZ" and the metro with the support of VTB. The payment is not related to the occurrence of an insured event.

The main advantages of digital rubles:

🔹 Reliability. It is a digital form of national currency along with cash and non-cash funds

🔹 Speed. Payments are processed automatically within 1 day within the smart contract

🔹 Security. Complete transparency of transfers, payment for goods and services

In early 2025, on the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the Moscow Government concluded a smart contract to insure the first unmanned tram in Russia. The test payment proved the safety, transparency and high speed of fulfilling obligations using digital rubles. Online calculation of simulated damage and payment of compensation occurred within 1 day. In the future, digital rubles will become one of the ways to pay for travel and other transport services in the capital, said Maxim Liksutov.
