The Tutaev Motor Plant, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in the Yaroslavl region, has approved a quality program for 2026.

The goal of the program is to improve the quality management system (QMS), aimed at satisfying consumer requirements, as well as ensuring the competitive advantages of the enterprise in the external and internal markets by improving the quality of manufactured products.

In January, TMZ tractor engine modifications received confirmation of their product compliance certificates with the requirements of TR CU 031/2012 "On the Safety of Agricultural and Forestry Tractors and Trailers." In June, TMZ will undergo a recertification audit of its quality management system for compliance with GOST R ISO 9001 and GOST RV 0015-002. In preparation for the audit, the plant's divisions will undergo an unscheduled internal readiness review in May.

To improve product quality, engines and assemblies will undergo periodic testing throughout the year to ensure compliance with design documentation. Furthermore, initial certification of test equipment for compliance with GOST RV requirements is planned for this year.

The program includes measures to improve the quality and reliability of in-house components. Measures have also been developed to improve the quality of purchased components and identify alternative suppliers.

A delegation from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, led by Deputy Minister Ivan Kulikov, and Ulyanovsk Region Governor Alexey Russkikh visited the Dimitrovgrad industrial site of the OAT Group (part of KAMAZ). One of the key topics was capacity utilization and future development of the Dimitrovgrad Automotive Component Plant.

At the plant, the head of the region and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade inspected the new pressing line.

"Today, the Ulyanovsk Region is among the leaders—we see positive dynamics in the industrial production index. This is the result of the tremendous work of our employees and, of course, the industrial policy implemented in the region by the governor and his team. Based on the 2024 assessment of the performance of executive authorities, the Ulyanovsk Region moved up 18 positions, entering the top ten regions of Russia for the implementation of regional industrial policy. I would also like to highlight the significant contribution that Dimitrovgrad enterprises are making to shaping the country's technological sovereignty. The region has great potential, and we are confident that they will continue to expand their capacity and develop domestic and interregional cooperation. For our part, we are ready to lend a helping hand by providing systemic government support. Over the past three years alone, Ulyanovsk Region enterprises have received 75 billion rubles in support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade," said Ivan Kulikov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Thanks to support from the federal Industrial Development Fund, DAAZ is implementing an investment project to upgrade its facilities. Most of the equipment has been installed, and the next delivery is scheduled for March. Installation of a cataphoresis line will begin simultaneously. Four welding lines and presses are scheduled to be operational by the end of the year.

"We are exploring ways to further develop Dimitrovgrad's industrial enterprises. To this end, we invited nuclear scientists from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to the city. Currently, thanks to federal support from the Industrial Development Fund, DAAZ is undergoing a technical refurbishment. The project aims to establish production of key components, suspension assemblies, and chassis for passenger cars, including electric vehicles. The modernization will help improve the competitiveness of our products and open up new opportunities for cooperation, for example, with KAMA JSC and Moskvich. DAAZ has all the technical capabilities for this," noted Ulyanovsk Region Governor Alexey Russkikh.

A separate agenda item on the visit included a discussion of the company's development plans for the construction of new domestic and drinking water supply networks. The regional government supported DAAZ's initiative to build new water supply networks, securing federal support for this under the infrastructure budget loan program. The new system will ensure a stable water supply for residents of DAAZ, Master, and Resurs, a company that supplies heat to 35,000 residents of the Pervomaysky District. Work is scheduled to begin this year.

"Today, we demonstrate the well-coordinated teamwork of the entire company. Despite the economic challenges facing the industry, we continue to actively seek development opportunities, implement new technologies, and expand production capacity," commented Yuri Gerasimov, Deputy General Director for Automotive Components at KAMAZ PJSC.

The open cross-country skiing championship was held in Pribrezhny City Park as part of the 2026 KAMAZ PJSC Spartakiad. The company's Trade Union organized this large-scale sporting event, which attracted approximately 300 participants.

This year, the ski races coincided with three significant events: the 50th anniversary of the first KAMAZ truck, the 55th anniversary of the auto giant's trade union, and the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny. Participants extended far beyond the city and the auto giant. Representatives of KAMAZ subsidiaries—Nefaz PJSC, TZA PJSC, Avtosvet LLC (an OAT Group company in Dimitrovgrad)—participated in the competition, as well as members of the Naberezhnye Chelny Trade Union Coordinating Council and employees of the Education Trade Union.

Ildar Shamilov, Chairman of the KAMAZ Trade Union, delivered a welcoming speech. He emphasized that these competitions have become a good tradition uniting teams from various companies, noted the benefits of sport, and wished everyone good luck on the track.

"We participate in the championship every year. We started with two or three people, and today our team has ten members. Skiing has significantly developed at our company: we have a coach and regular training. Denis Shelkoplyas, a holder of numerous titles, works at NEFAZ and trains our guys. Today, we're competing with a renewed lineup: experienced racers have been joined by newcomers. We arrived with a fighting spirit!" commented Larisa Zagitova, Deputy Chair of the NEFAZ Trade Union.

"This is my third year in a row. And I've placed second every time. I'm in fighting spirit! There are some serious, technically skilled competitors here, but we're trying to keep up," shared Vyacheslav Sharonov, an employee of Avtosvet. Incidentally, at the 2026 meet, Vyacheslav again finished among the top three in his age group, this time in third place.

"This is my fourth time participating in the championship, competing in the 50-weight category. I missed out last year, but I'm back this year. I love skiing!" said Almira Imamova, a crane operator at PAO TZA. The representative of this KAMAZ subsidiary placed second.

The main championship program included individual and team competitions. Participants competed in four age groups: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and older. The women in the 18-29 age category were the first to take to the ski tracks. The races were spectacular and emotional.

While the adults competed for seconds, entertainers worked for the children. Rustam Gatin's field kitchen kept everyone warm – buckwheat porridge with meat and hot tea were a huge hit.

The competition concluded with an awards ceremony. The winners and runners-up received well-deserved medals and certificates from the KAMAZ Trade Union.

From high-quality road maintenance to efficient operation of KAMAZ divisions

The KAMAZ PJSC Department of Specialized Equipment and Road Maintenance has been operating around the clock. Since the start of the winter season, more than 33,000 cubic meters of snow have been removed from KAMAZ sites.

According to Mikhail Suranovich, Director of the Department of Specialized Equipment and Road Maintenance (DSTISAD), work is organized around the clock. On the first shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., an average of 20 vehicles are on the road, while at night, four to six vehicles are on duty. "While everyone is sleeping, we clear the areas in front of the administrative building and the parking lots for passenger vehicles. We strive to ensure that KAMAZ workers have a good morning. Around 20 people are engaged in manual labor every day: it's mainly women who beautify the bus stops. To prevent accidents, we strive to make the roads wider. We promptly clear snow from the storage area of KAMAZ Trade and Finance Company vehicles. It's important that the equipment can be transported to the customer without any problems, if needed," said Mikhail Suranovich.

The department oversees 64 kilometers of factory roads, over 600,000 square meters of paved areas, 34 public transportation stops, and 12 underground crossings. The vehicles involved in site cleanups can be heavily loaded. To ensure tractors, bulldozers, graders, and other equipment remain operational, the department has maintenance personnel who quickly get them back on track in the event of technical problems.

The unit begins preparations for ice removal well in advance. In the second half of summer, specialists prepare a thousand tons of sand and salt mixture, which is used daily during the winter to remove ice. This agent breaks down the compacted snow and facilitates removal. Industrial salt is also used, spread on the roads by a grit spreader truck, whose crew works around the clock. The technology is simple: under the wheels of thousands of vehicles, the snow cover turns into "mush," and then graders remove it from the road.

Snow is removed to company-approved sites on KAMAZ premises and to a backup site off-site. "Last winter season, we removed 21,550 cubic meters of snow. Since the start of this season, we've removed 33,600 cubic meters. Our results already significantly exceed last year's," noted Mikhail Suranovich.

A new model of KDM based on the K5 KAMAZ-65951 dump truck has been released.

KAMAZ PJSC and the Smolmash plant have launched a new combined road vehicle, the KDM-7881190, based on the K5 generation dump truck, the KAMAZ-65951 (8×4).

The new KDM is based on a high-tech four-axle KAMAZ-65951 chassis. This latest-generation K5 is designed for operation in harsh conditions. The vehicle's gross vehicle weight reaches 50 tons, with the front axles supporting loads of up to 18 tons, and the rear bogie supporting up to 32 tons. The vehicle is equipped with a modern KAMAZ R6 diesel engine with a displacement of 13 liters, a power output of 482 hp, and a torque of 2,403 Nm. It is coupled with a 16-speed transmission. The pneumatic brake system with EBS and an electronically controlled parking brake meets modern safety standards. The comfortable cabin is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable driver experience. A multimedia system with navigation, hands-free calling, music and video playback, vehicle parameter monitoring, and cabin heater control is also included. The 8×4 wheel arrangement ensures high cross-country capability and versatility.

Smolmash engineers designed the new KDM model to make the flagship KAMAZ-65951 dump truck an effective tool for year-round maintenance and cleaning of paved roads. The solution is based on a quick-release sand and salt spreader with a 14-cubic-meter carbon steel hopper. This design ensures high versatility: the special equipment can be quickly converted without losing its primary dump truck functions. To effectively combat ice, a de-icing agent wetting system with 3,000-liter plastic tanks is included, and the hopper is equipped with a heavy-duty cover to protect the de-icing agent from external influences. Particular attention was paid to control during development: the reagent distribution process is fully automated (the spreading density is adjustable from 5-500 g/m²; the spreading width is adjustable from 1.2 to 12 m) and is controlled from the driver's cab. The engineers also provided duplicate control using an ergonomic joystick, which allows the operator to instantly adjust operating parameters.

A powerful LED light on the cab and an additional LED panel located on top of the hopper provide excellent visibility at night. To warn other road users in poor visibility, strobe lights are installed, as well as active LED "Arrow" and "Road Works" signs.

In addition to the spreading equipment, the KDM is equipped with a four-meter-wide, hydraulically rotating composite plow blade. The use of composite materials allows for a lightweight design and improved snow glide, ensuring high-quality road surface clearing even at high operating speeds.
