Dushanbe, July 29 (Xinhua) — Tajikistan seized 3,107 kg of narcotic substances from illegal circulation in the first half of 2025, which is 10.4 kg more than in the same period of 2024, the press service of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan reported on Tuesday.

According to the Director of the DCA, Zafar Samad, 54.4 percent of the drugs were found and seized on the border with Afghanistan.

The amount of psychotropic substances seized increased by 85 percent, amounting to 155.5 kg.

The Bank of Russia has approved the methodologies of two credit rating agencies (CRAs) for assigning non-credit ratings to ordinary shares. This is a new product on the market, which represents an assessment of the fair value of companies. It will become an additional reference point for investors when making investment decisions.

The pilot included OOO National Credit Ratings and OOO National Rating Agency. When assessing issuers, the CRAs will take into account how companies comply with corporate legislation, including investor protection standards, then assign "stars" to shares and accompany the ratings with extended analytics.

The first issuers to be rated will be companies fromShareholder Value Creation Programs.

At the end of the year, the Bank of Russia will analyze the experience gained and, if it proves positive, will consider the possibility of using stock ratings in financial regulation.

The opening of traffic on the reconstructed overpass on the A-149 Adler – Krasnaya Polyana highway took place. This is a major event in the framework of the implementation of the project to build an Adler bypass, which will later become part of the promising highway from the M-4 Don highway to Sochi and connect the village of Kudepsta with the village of Vysokoe. During the reconstruction of the overpass, specialists completed a large amount of work. By adding metal consoles on both sides, the existing overpass was widened to 13.5 m. Now Sochi residents and its guests will be able to move more conveniently both towards Adler and towards Krasnaya Polyana, bypassing a long turn through the entire interchange," said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the completion of the reconstruction of the overpass and the launch of vehicle traffic on it will allow them to begin the main task – the preparation and drilling of vehicle tunnels from Ivanovskaya Street to Kudepsta.

According to the Chairman of the Board of the state company Avtodor, Vyacheslav Petushenko, the reconstruction of the overpass began in November last year, and work on the site was carried out in two shifts.

"For the convenience of local residents, the overpass was equipped with noise protection screens, and in order to improve traffic safety, we installed lights, a barrier fence, and a storm drain. Also, during the reconstruction, we paid close attention to the quality and durability of the road surface. Thus, for laying asphalt concrete, we used the Superpave technology. This is an innovative method that takes into account climatic and transport loads, ensures high resistance of the surface to cracking due to temperature fluctuations, deformation and fatigue failure. This method helps to predict the condition of the road surface over time, taking into account the influence of climatic features of a particular region and the level of transport load," said Vyacheslav Petushenko.

HANGZHOU, July 29 (Xinhua) — Authorities in east China's Zhejiang Province on Tuesday raised the emergency response level for Typhoon Ko Mei, the eighth typhoon this year, to Level 3 from Level 4, the provincial emergency management department said.

BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) — In the two years since the launch of the China-Europe international freight train routes at Tongjiang Railway Port in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, a total of 285 freight trains have passed through the port, carrying 27,956 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) and handling more than 210,000 tons of freight, according to Zhongxinwang online portal.

The city of Tongjiang borders the Jewish Autonomous Region of Russia. This border city is home to the only border crossing in Heilongjiang Province that is connected to Russia by water, road and rail transport.

The Tongjiang Railway Port began operations in November 2022. According to the Heilongjiang Daily, a special refrigerated truck recently delivered 19 tons of frozen chicken feet from Russia to the comprehensive bonded area of Harbin (the capital of Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China) under the TIR system. Compared with the return trips of freight trains and conventional road transportation, the aforementioned “TIR cold chain” transportation scheme has reduced the logistics costs of enterprises by about 10 percent.
