BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) — The Longjiang No. 1 warehouse for Russian goods in Suifenhe City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has been sending out about 4,000 orders daily in recent weeks. The figure is expected to exceed 10,000 when the peak sales season arrives in October, according to information posted on the Suifenhe city government website recently.

As one of the important hubs of China-Russia border trade, Longjiang No.1 Warehouse attracts a large number of consumers with its highly efficient supply chain and ability to supply high-quality Russian goods.

As orders continue to grow rapidly, more workers will be hired to work at the warehouse, which in turn will help boost employment in the city and the local economy, the warehouse administration said.

In the future, Longjiang No.1 Warehouse Management plans to improve the supply chain and increase distribution efficiency to meet the high consumer demand for Russian goods.

It is worth recalling that Longjiang No.1 Warehouse was opened in Suifenhe in November 2024 by Tianfusheng International Logistics Company. Suifenhe City Hall intends to use this warehouse to establish cooperative relationships with Russian goods suppliers, relevant distributors and traders, as well as e-commerce workers throughout China, so as to enhance Suifenhe's influence as a collection and distribution center for Russian-made goods. -0-

On the evening of August 8, 235 tourists from Bangkok, Thailand, arrived on a charter flight at Ejen Horo International Airport in Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The tour group will visit attractions such as Xiangshawan Tourist Zone and Ordos Grassland before starting their six-day trip. The charter flight is scheduled to operate 20 times, carrying 4,400 tourists.

Since the beginning of this year, Ordos has taken a series of effective measures such as introducing favorable policies, increasing the number of international flights, creating innovative products and optimizing services, which has contributed to the steady growth of the inbound tourism market. Currently, direct flights have been opened from Incheon, Busan, and Daegu (Republic of Korea), Hanoi (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand) and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), which has received more than 19,000 foreign tourists, including 8,560 tourists who arrived via charter flights. In addition, a Kuala Lumpur-Ordos flight is planned to be launched in late August, which will be operated 10 times.

The Ordos City Culture and Tourism Office led representatives of key tourist attractions and travel agencies to Seoul, South Korea, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to conduct promotional activities for cultural tourism and actively establish contacts with overseas tourism associations and agencies to expand the inbound tourism market. At the same time, work is underway to create unique tourism products, and several high-quality tourist routes combining the steppe atmosphere, desert recreation, and folklore traditions are being developed. Key tourist sites actively provide customized services such as butler service, foreign language tours, and customized itineraries to attract international tourists. In addition, service measures have been strengthened to ensure that passengers on international flights can quickly clear customs. POS terminals for card payments abroad have been widely introduced at key tourist sites, and currency exchange offices have been opened. More than 2,500 hotels across the city have implemented the function of registering foreign nationals with valid entry and exit documents, becoming the first in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region where all hotels allow registration of foreign nationals.

TEHRAN, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) — The deputy director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit Iran on Monday, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday, citing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

According to the report, the Foreign Minister made the statement while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting.

A. Araghchi stressed that the purpose of the visit will be negotiations between Iran and the agency, noting that Iran has already provided the IAEA with the necessary clarifications regarding the new framework for bilateral cooperation in connection with the law on the suspension of cooperation adopted by the country's parliament and Constitutional Council at the end of June.

He stressed that no inspections or visits to Iranian nuclear facilities were planned during the IAEA deputy director general's visit, saying: "We have not yet reached a new agreement and cooperation will not begin."

Iran decided to suspend cooperation with the IAEA after the Israeli-American attacks on its nuclear facilities and the killing of Iranian nuclear scientists by Israel in June. Iran said it would stick to the decision unless the safety of its nuclear facilities and scientists was ensured.

Earlier, the semi-official Fars news agency reported that Massimo Aparo, deputy director general and head of the IAEA secretariat's Department of Safeguards, would visit Iran. -0-
