Hohhot, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) — From October 16 to 23 this year, a delegation of media representatives from Russia's Far East visited Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province and Hohhot in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to learn firsthand about China's local development practices.
At the Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City exhibition center in Hangzhou, delegation members learned about a planning concept characterized by the integration of industry and the city, as well as a balance between work and living, through digital models and immersive exhibitions.
According to Alexey Budko, a media relations consultant for the Chita City District Administration and a board member of the Trans-Baikal Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists, coordinated planning, from industrial deployment to meeting the daily needs of the population, allowed them to experience the people-centered development of Chinese modernization. Chinese modernization, in which the people are at the center, is not an abstract concept but a concrete practice that permeates the entire development process.
At the Zhongnan Cartoon Group's AI animation lab, the delegation met a digital avatar of the ancient Chinese poet Su Shi (also known as Su Dongpo), who can recite poetry and talk about culture. This innovative use of AI technology to revive traditional culture sparked intense interest among Russian media representatives.
Dorzhi Choydopov, a cameraman for the Tivikom television company, said that using modern technology to revive a thousand-year-old civilization not only helps preserve traditions but also gives them new vitality.
During their stay in Hohhot, the delegation focused on the YILI Health Valley green development model. Valeria Deeva, Head of the Information Policy Department of the Irkutsk City Administration, believes that the end-to-end low-carbon system, encompassing the entire process from forage cultivation to dairy processing, as well as the cyclical organization of production from smart workshops to ecological pastures, clearly demonstrates the concept of development within the framework of Chinese modernization – the "harmonious coexistence of man and nature."
The delegation members generally believe that Chinese modernization offers the international community new guidelines for development. The current trip allowed them to see the diversity of modernization paths. And the concept of joint consultation, joint development, and shared benefit, advanced within the framework of Chinese modernization, offers a practical model for building a multipolar world.
