BEIJING, July 16 (Xinhua) — The event "Joint Journey in the Radiance of Chinese and Russian Cultures" organized by the provincial administration of culture and tourism has concluded in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province.
According to the Heilongjiang Provincial Government website, the event, which started in June, chose Zhongyang Dajie (Central Street) Pedestrian Street in Harbin as its main venue, which has become a bright calling card of Harbin's summer cultural and tourist season, demonstrating a unique fusion of Chinese and Russian cultures throughout almost the entire summer.
During the event, girls in traditional Chinese Hanfu costumes walked along Central Street, greeting spectators and attracting the attention of numerous tourists who rushed to capture the moment.
Russian artists presented folk songs and dances. Lively melodies and energetic movements fully revealed the color of Russian culture.
The event promoted cultural exchange and cooperation between regions of the two countries. The integration of performing arts with tourist attractions, commercial areas and other formats gave impetus to the summer tourism season of Heilongjiang Province. -0-
